Both are garbage. Having no drop rates revealed is borderline illegal, and Cryptic are their own worst enemy in running games for huge IPs into the ground by keeping minimum viable effort and most obnoxious gacha mechanics.

Honestly just saw the thumbnail, I just started playing sto after several years of battle boat game. My first impressions of sto was that they are very reasonable and, in many cases, generous with their bundles. Wargaming is more akin to highway robbery

In a veteran WoWS player. I'd be tempted to buy the Enterprise skin, but I also don't have the ship. Seems kinda sketchy, like they're trying to con people who don't have the ship and aren't paying attention into buying the skin anyway. At least I get a free Sela, so there's that.
i have the USS Enterprise and will be getting the skin but i don't think ill be getting the commander but then again there's a small possibility that this even wont happen for a very long time given that WG likes creating FOMO ever now and then which sucks...
As someone who also plays both games I'm not looking to defend world of warships here, because its monetization is pretty terrible. But I would like to point out that you don't need consoles, traits, ect from hundreds of dollars worth of different, unrelated ships (often lockbox ships) to be competitive, so I don't know if trying to set the bar with STO is a good move...
speaking of Enterprises, I preferred the Azur Lane Enterprise and the Azur Lane Bismarck, in fact I named my Temporal Operative's Lexington the Bismarck.
Stu you obviously have never played Navy Field back in the day, before Star Trek Online closed beta. It was a game similar to WoWS with a top down view, I'll just say WoWS isn't even close to the pay-to-play freemium monetization in Navy Field, even tho WoWS is heavily inspired by that game.

As a player of world of warships since closed beta this pack was not very well thought through just because the star of the show the E-D skin for CV-6 is the skin everyone would want and Enty is *extremely* difficult to obtained due to the fact that she is on what the community calls the 'naughty list'. She was deamed too powerful before the current carrier rework and removed from sale completely and can only be obtained via random chance from containers sold during Christmas time. Even if the ships are deemed no longer 'problematic' it is very likely that a ship will stay on the 'naughty list' the community feels this is to boost people buying the christmas lootboxes
I downloaded the game on my Xbox because I wanted to try this, this honestly could have been a nice push to join in, but 100 buck and not even giving you the ships to use it immediately? Hell no, Unfortunately, deleted the game. But the models are really cool, there is a good effort behind.
I can't help but compare it to STO where for like a 100 dollars you are in anniversary bundle on sale territory and that's a fuck ton of ships or legendary bundle territory

It's neat but like everything else in this game, you have to grind way too much to try to earn things. I enjoy naval warfare games but I can't see spending money to get these. It's hard enough to get things in STO but at least I get to be immerse in my favorite universe without paying for stuff. Thanks for the review though.
Okay, there is one thing that he hasn't pointed out. You can earn the ENTERPRISE through the free missions in the game. It's going to be hard sure. Now going up the tech tree, okay they are Tier 6 ships. It takes for Fiji you can accomplish it in a day, the Akatuski you can get in 2 days of gaming, the bitch will be the Vulcan which is on a cruiser that is a tier 7 ship that'll take about 2 weeks of playing. You buy the skins first and then grind.
As a huge fan of World of Warships and Star Trek, I was really looking forward to this edition, and I was disappointed just like you, maybe even more. Even though I have two ships, as you mentioned, I can't get the Enterprise. So for me, this set is a disgrace too 😕 Additionally, it's frustrating that you can't separately purchase the skin for the German battleship, and none of the Star Trek captains fit it anyway 😫
I imagine it was more the sake of getting an other iconic Star Trek character in the mix. The cross promotion was specifically for TNG. Not a lot of iconic Cardassian roles in TNG. Sure, there's Gul Madred, but he doesn't come anywhere close to Spock in terms of popularity.
That is the Hyperion special permanent camo, which is based of the ship of the same name from Legend of the Galactic Heroes. @KyuuContinuum is entirely to blame for me buying that when it was available.

It's also the "Gneisenau" that the Vulcan skin is on; considered by WoWs players to be the single worst battleship of any tier or nation.

I find it weird that they have the vulcans represented instead of completing the main 4 civilizations of tng with the cardassians, its a weird choice
