    When you were applying the leave in conditioner I saw some small, beautiful coils at the nape😍😍. Your twist out result was gorgeous!

    Im doing something similar to my hair. I spray it with Curls and Potion Ayurvedic Tea Spray and use Blumseed Blackseed, Fenugreek, and Onion Oil Treatment as my prepoo.

      You have a nice routine. I have found that even though some stylists disregard our ancestors way of caring for our hair, from researching I noticing their way of doing things may not be conducive for wash and go but it’s certainly perfect of having healthy hair.
      Also I noticed the way our ancestors cared for their hair is a successful way of retaining length.
      I am excited for you.

    Love this process for you! I can’t wait to see how your hair flourish with this transition. Have you tried Donna’s Recipe? Her Leave In, Styling cream, and scalp oil (which is something unique and my hair loves it) are all so very good and it 30% off at Ulta right now. I’ve never had a failed braid out and my hair remains nourished for days/week. Hope you try it and like it :) Thanks for sharing your routine!

    Hi Rosie! How do you like that Trader Joe’s Hair Wash? How does it make your hair feel? I’ve been using Hair Rules non suds shampoo and my hair feels clean, but not stripped. However, the Trader Joe’s Hair Wash is a better price point.

      I was confused and wondering the same thing since this video came after the live chat about her big chop. I thought this was her big chopped hair and was thinking “girl, THIS is what you were distraught over?? There’s still a lot of hair here and it looks great!”
      Bald or not, everyone’s beautiful 😊 I was just very confused

    When you say lipid layer are you referring to the cuticle layer?

    • @rosieamelia5955
      @rosieamelia5955  2 месяца назад +4

      I referring to the Lipids in the cuticle, cortex, and medulla of the hair shaft provide a protective barrier , I believe in my case was compromised because of the behavior of my hair and also based on the experiences of others.
      I have saved the hair and hopeful that one day research can be done to show exactly what happened.
      From the little research I have done it makes it clear afro hair has certain needs .

      @@rosieamelia5955 and does it say that afro textured needs oil?

    • @Alxie_e
      @Alxie_e 22 дня назад

      @@13579heeSaying that Afro hair NEEDS raw oil might be a bit of a stretch. But in general, afro hair benefits and thrives off raw oil, since the natural sebum that is produced from our scalp has a hard time running down the strands of our tight, coiled hair. It’s easier for it to run down straight hair, which is why you don’t see a lot of them use all kinds of oils, butters, or grease. In order to make up for lack of sebum on our hair strands, we use oils or butters. These oils and butters help retain moisture and build a protective film around our hair strands, helping with dryness and breakage.
