I experienced the same issue and had to big chop my hair. Then I used Redken Acidic Bonding concentrate line and it got my hair back healthy. My hair has finally stopped webbing and breaking. I used the pre-treatment, shampoo, and deep treatment weekly for about 6 weeks. I heard great things about epres but wanted to share what worked for me. Wishing you the best on your healthy hair journey
Rosie, I’m hopeful that your hair is Not damaged to the point you need Bond repairs. I hate that you just did a Big chop & using that! But I’m still riding with you Sis. 👍🏾💕
@@rosieamelia5955 Come on now really? What if that’s just your hair texture. If it’s an issue just cut it all off and wear a wig until it grows out. I mean it’s pretty damn short now might as well.
@Neesha242 that’s a very good option, but if I do I am going to confidently rock it short😝. Definitely not my texture of hair because I have been natural since 2011 and my hair has never felt like this, my hair that was shaved and freshly growing back is soft and smooth. Let’s just say I am currently living my best hair life and I feel fierce 🫶🏾.
Your hair looks beautiful!! Here is my experience if it helps anyone: I have type 4bc hair. I have been using Epres 2 months, maybe going on my third month. My hair is tapered with 5 inches being the longest layer. I use this weekly on wash days so one bottle lasts about 2 months. Application is fast and very easy with my length... if I use heavy creams I will do a light shampoo...sometimes I wait a few minutes after application and add a bit of oil to my hair for extra treatment. Put a turban on and do my errands for a while before rinsing it out. I have no heat damage but we know type 4 hair is prone to easy damage in general. This product definitely helps maintain the integrity of my textured hair. I think it has a layered effect; meaning I notice less breakage with each application, so I prefer not to skip an application. Also, my hair used to get pretty wavy/flat-like when soaking wet. Now, my hair still stretches a bit when wet but my curls still maintain a fluffy texture when fully soaked, which tells me Epres is doing its job! Good spring back on my curls too!
Thank you so much for Sharing. Yes I really love this treatment. I will always use a treatment moving forward. You explained your usage so well that this can help others 👌🏽.
Thanks for this, I started adding moisturizer randomly to my relaxed hair and ended up with a ton of damage so looking to repair. I am going hard, start with this, then Olaplex 3 then Living Proof Triple Bond and then protein treatment every 6 weeks.
I've been using epres for a few months now - i have keratin treated 3b-3c hair that was bleached before and I heat style it almost weekly (silk press). I feel like it really slowed down the amount of breakage and split ends. I still have damage since I am waiting to grow out the bleached hair but i plan to continue heat styling + use epres weekly.
I’ve been using Epres since the launch. I primarily heat style (every two weeks), and for both my trims so far (February and May) I’ve only needed a dusting. I trimmed around a quarter inch each time. My full routine is the Epres bond repair, shampoo and conditioner (using the recent Epres launch before that the Redken ABC) then leave-in, Olaplex 6 and the IGK blow dry cream. I blow dry with my Dyson air wrap and then do a soft press (330-350 degrees) with my ceramic flat iron. My hair is collar-bone length (profile photo is from last year ago, fine and 4a-ish (if you use that scale). I credit Epres with helping me maintain the integrity of my hair when my styling choices say otherwise. Once a month, I clarify, use K18 and deep condition. One vial of Epres lasts me 4 uses and I mix with distilled water since my local water is very hard.
Yes Epres is asset for heat styling. I had another curl friend who had curls intact while wearing silk press. I also use distilled water mixing my solution. I have the other container of epres still left, I really enjoy using it on my hair . Thank you for sharing your experience because it can help someone🤎.
This is basically my exact routine and similar hair type so good to know epres is working for you! Thinking of replacing my Redken bond repair pre treatment with this to see how it works
If you just big chopped is there still damage in your hair? Wasn't that the purpose of the big chop? Or are you using this as a preventative measure to keep healthy hair healthy?
What is the name of the shawl/towel thing you have on your shoulders during the update part of the video? It looks super helpful as my wash day and styling get pretty messy😅
@@rosieamelia5955 yes! Absolutely! I ran out of olaplex 0 so I’m going to stick to Espres! Then I’ll apply olaplex 3! And I didn’t know you mix it with water so for the price these vials can last up to 4/6 months. It’s a great deal. But they should tell us how much water to Put in. I was confused
I received mine today.
I have long thick hair, so getting it
Saturated on that small amount will be a challenge.
Thank you for sharing
Please share when you use it how it works out. I wonder how many uses you will get.

I’ve been thinking about trying Redkin products. Do you have afro textured hair?
I have heard that’s an excellent bond treatment.
@@schoolwerk3744 I second the Redken acid bonding products. I'm 4C afro textured. I have the Epres on my hair as I type this, so I can't compare...yet

Unfortunately there is only one solution , the fresh new growth is perfectly soft , the top is another story 😫. The top is doing the same mess.

I am so sorry you are experiencing damage, I know it can be traumatic. I hope using bond builders will help your journey .
Thank you for the update, all this repair is gonna soon translate into healthy long strands ! Love this for you ! 😻
I am definitely excited to use Epres on my healthy hair journey.
Thank you for sharing Rosie. Learn something new today I don’t know of those treatments.
That’s a good thing because I would not have thought in a million years I would be having hair damage and needing to have treatments on hand.

Yes it’s amazing and I will keep it in my rotation.
Thank you for your review. I find Epres a bit too pricey when I can have Olaplex 3 for much cheaper in comparison.
You’re welcome, they all work similarly, it’s just a matter of preference. 💖

Nvmd I missed your explanation in the beginning of the video. Good luck with your hair going forward.
Thank you 🤎.
I like to keep it in overnight before a wash in the morning
Yes this treatment gives more options, I really like that about it.

It’s called wrapperoo 😁.
I love Espres! Better than olaplex No 0
I love Epres too, so far I prefer it over my other bond builders

I used distilled water, there is a line on the Epres Bottle to where you fill the water.
