I never really cared for Batman but the Nolan trilogy is a masterpiece. I watched them all in theater multiple times and I've watched them at home many times. Heath still stands out.
Jack Nicholson is as good but pn hugely different take on the joker. Nicholson was the cold black humour cartoon, Ledger was the realistic, different takes of different directors and scripts

I remember this, it was one of those "moments" in culture where everyone paused in awe...doesn’t happen too often. It gives me goosebumps recalling the lines around the block to see this film and how impressive Heath was...the film literally centered around him and it was an amazing swan song to his short life. Perhaps this was the best thing to come out of that rather bleak decade of the 2000s

I agree. I believe he summoned or manifested an evil spirit during his stay at the hotel thathelped him achieve his goal but after the job was done they came for him.kinda like a grim reaper type of deal.

No....not really... It's called method acting it's fit time and isolation. So he could focus on mannerisms and voice. A lot of actors will spend time by themselves getting into the mind of the character they are playing. His co stars have went on record, talking about how he acted whenever he wasn't filming and he was completely normal
