- This vehicle was one of the 1917 Dodge Intrepid R/T built for that year. The 2002 R/T Model combined Luxury and performance, the 2003 and 2004 models were badged as SXT which offers the performance of the Brand without luxury.

Yes, beautiful car, I have 02 as well, same colour, same trunk fin, and the 3.5 litre v6, its the most beautiful one around, pictures available upon request.
I also have one of those dodge intrepid R/T Mine has the stock chrome spoke rims and mine is infernal red. Mine also has complete borla dual exhaust system on it. Of Course the thing screams. Plus I thought I was kinda of stupid that the design engineers put in the RT emblem on the bottom of the door all by itself. So I added a identical dodge emblem right next to the RT.
The reason is that the dodge badging goes in the front and rear center and for most automakers and trim plus other special emblems go on the side doors like the "Hemi" emblems or T/A SXT etc which you would typically find on the lower side of the doors as you mentioned-Thank thank you for your comment Dodge Brother💪

+Daniel Reding Believe it or not America's tire store, they have them in black and brushed alluminum. They are great looking wheeels, you'll notice the spokes touch the outer wheel making the whole wheel look bigger than it's original 17' size. I paid just over 500 including intall during a special they had. Check your local America's tire dealer. Thank you for your comment.

The Dodge Charger is really a Dodge Intrepid but people are not ready to have that conversation.
The Dodge Charger is the successor of the Dodge Intrepid.
It’s built on an entirely different platform.
The point is this car was one of only 1917 documented copies with aprox under 400 made in metallic silver considered a rare car. Only a true Mopar enthusiast would know.

@@Radiateprosperity As a new 2002 Intrepid R/T owner, I am confused about the rear spoiler. Mine does not have one? Was that an option for this particular year?
@@rogerlbl7316 It may have been an option but it is strange that yours does not have one. To my knowledge all R/T's came with one it was part of their "sport package" and the spoiler mine came with was manufactured in Britain which was also strange. I would search the VIN number of your car in the forum link within the description of my video and congrats! it's a great car take care of it these cars are harder to find in decent shape and are becoming more desirable 🚀

I need the money, I actually have it on e-bay but the buyer has not contacted me yet. I'm not sure why. I know he has 7 days to reply. If he does not, the car is for sale. It's a rare car, I don't want to sell it but I have to.

For anyone watching this video who is interested in buying an R/T................don't. The R/T is NOT a luxury model, that would be the ES. The R/T stood for Road and Track and honestly, it's inferior to the ES. It only puts out about 20 more horsepower than the ES and only around 16 lbs of torque with the 3.5 engine, the ES models from 02 to 04 also came with the 3.5 engine, years before that came with the 3.3. It's got the upgraded suspension package in it, but it's only slightly better than the ES. It has almost none of the comfort/luxury perks either. If you are looking to buy and Intrepid for modding (which these cars actually take well to) buy an ES. It will cost you less than $2k to upgrade the suspension and engine to be better than the R/T model, less than$1k to do the work yourself. WARNING............working on the engines in these cars can be notoriously difficult without a car lift and the proper tools, patience is a must. Upgrading the suspension is easy for the DIYer. I've owned an 02' Intrepid ES with the 3.5 for going on 6 years now, it has 241k miles on it and runs absolutely great. Intrepids are definitely worth buying if you properly care for them. Another warning, anyone claiming that have an 03' or 04' Intrepid R/T is lying. The sports model of the Intrepid for 03' and 04' are called the SXT, and those have less power then even the R/T, although they did come with a few more comfort and luxury perks.
FYI 2002 Dodge Intrepid R/T had 244hp 2003-2004 Dodge Intrepid ES/SXT 250hp
if that's the case why not go all out and get an Aston Martin or an Aventador ?

Absolutely not they didn't come with manuals to my knowledge. This is not a special car haha. Riddled with problems early 00s Dodge, hell , all the way up to 2011 ( even now they're riddled with issues) just blow. I've had 2 srt4s neon and caliber bought brand new off the showroom floor nothing but problems. Ford.
@@anthonyhales4192 Tf you doing to them? I've had a 2004 Intrepid Since 2004 and have 280k rough miles on it and I think I may have spent 6k in maintenance over the span of 18 years. They are by no means unreliable unless you neglect them, or own the 2.7 🤣

3.5 HO SOHC super fast I sold it already and it had 160 k salvage title but well documented rare R/T best motor ever made by Dodge in my opinion.

I completely agree with you I'd rather own anything with a 2015 707 horse power Hemi keep in mind that I'm talking about a car that has to be compared to a similar car which shares close characteristics one not being compared to a Hemi V8.
This car is a jewel among Magnum Powered "V6" Motors which are built by the Dodge brand as well as the Hemi .
It is that great my 3.2 smokes chargers 🤣🤣 you have zero idea what you're talking about this cars 4k and your 28k car can hardly keep up
