You know call me crazy but I don't think his therapist actually advised him to call and torture his brother for closure. Think maybe he misunderstood the assignment
Op isn't a golden child he's just the youngest. The brother was angry he not the center of the universe anymore so he misplaced all that hate to op and the parents. The dad telling him to let it go was probably due to how absolutely stupid his request was and that he was 2+ years older than Jenny since he graduated either just before or just after op entered high school. Bro code doesn't apply here when he didn't even have the guts to tell his brother why Ops brother has extreme entitlement issues and is a pos.
To be fair, the older brother never made it clear WHY he didn't want OP to ask out Jenny. Was he pursuing Jenny himself? Did he know some dirt on Jenny that the OP didn't know? What exactly was the problem?
@@AcerthornThis. He should’ve said some reason and that would change OP approaching her knowing his brother liked her. But the brother said nothing about why so it’s a bit more understandable. That being said, it must seem so cruel to the brother that literally everything he had and wanted his brother ended up with, the loving parents and the girl
i mean even if he was interested in her AND made it clear to his brother that he is interested that shouldnt stop him, at the end of the day jenny is a human being who can decide for herself if and who to date
honestly he told you to not do it.. you said f him and you did it anyways what do you expected to happen? of course he liked her thats why he told you to not do it! but of couse typical golden child behaviour comes first...
Out of all the Reddit story I've ever listened to I've never heard of the favorite child point of view on their sibling would cut them off randomly
He wasn't even favored he was just the youngest and made the elder no longer the only kid in the house.
Only the parents are to be blamed for this

Ya but bro code is a thing. However the brother did nothing for bro code to be at play
OP ITA for pursuing a girl the brother liked, & pushing the issue. He's not entitled to have his brother contact him or be his friend.
