Well he's far from being the only one and let's not forget that his game is efficient only in nogi and submission only tournaments and nothing else, there's a lot of other athletes that created a lot with Jiu Jitsu, for my part i think high level judo players in brazilian jiu jitsu are even more impressive than what eddie bravo does but that's also because i prefere the gi.

I have been watching these videos for some time training with partners who are not Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. Just recently joining a BJJ school, I just got my first submission on a BJJ white belt who had been training for a year, and this was the submission I got. It works!!!
Used it for the first time today in Gi class as a White belt. 4 rolls total: 2 white, 2 Blue. Results: Against the 2 white belts = 1 submission and 3 sweeps; Against the 2 Blue belts = 4 sweeps [but got collar choked twice, once by each of them]. Conclusion, this shit fucking works but need to be cautious of a Gi collar choke when you engage your electric hooks. Also, Practice, Practice, Practice...
Damn that must have been some genetically modified, military grade, ultra potent shit that Eddie smoked before this video. Because he looks and sounds high AF. You usually never know how high he is, even though you know he's high.
Really good practice for getting under the hips when ur on bottom. Always helps being able to threaten in two directions that the grappling goes rather than just one. I was doing this before but I never had the electric under hooks so I can't wait to try that because some people have really good flexibility but the way Eddie does it, he gets a lot more stretch. I really wanna master this because I'm 145 lb and I'm on bottom a lot in my class. We have a lot of big guys I'm one of the smallest guys in there.
One of our bjj coaches who also trains 10p work with us for years just pulled this off in a black belt + tournament over the weekend he got about 75% through and the guy verbally tapped. Blew my mind
It was vss Royler Gracie ,but Eddie didn't finished him with electric chair,almost did but not. It can't works on true masters like in Gracie's family.
@@crnimarko9198 I came to this video after watching that fight. Certainly you'll have a hard time finishing it against a very flexible guy, but he did still sweep Royler with it. So it does still have a use, even if you don't manage to finish it.
Eddie is the man. One small variation I do is sinking the forearm directly at the base of the kneecap and adding some pain compliance with a scooping motion to the kneecap. Gotten subs with that part alone.
Eddie was trying to put Marcelo Garcia in this while they were rolling together and he even talks about how he gets a lot of blackbelts with this one but Marcelo was to good to fall for it lol.

Exactly. It helps you just let go and stop thinking so much. Especially with running and kickboxing, but grappling I prefer to be a little more sober cause theres more time for thought especially in jiujitsu. Its definitely performance enhancing, same with low doses of phycadelics.

damn...no wonder everytime I use the original electric chair set up(his left underhook comes in across the abdomen and blocks the hips) I never get it cause as he says it gives away u are attacking that far leg, even if the guy doesnt know the sweep, he can tell u want that far leg and u have nothing else(since u gave up the near side underhook). I can't wait to try this out tomorrow!

Follow Eddie's advice on escaping leg locks, dont let them get there in the first place. It'll be easier with shorter stockier legs to get out. Also I'd reccomend side control and mount submissions, a lot easier to pull those off with shorter limbs. Backmount yo armvar should be especially suited to you. Happy training friend
Nope. It's basically a crotch ripper. You're pushing one leg up towards their head while extending the other leg back and away. The pain is all in the groin. Super flexible people can survive it, but then it's more or less a guaranteed sweep. Watch Eddie vs. Royler Gracie at Metamoris to see it in action.
