I have terrible knees and the whip down alone can cause me to tap because of the awkward angle it puts my knee in. Any one have advice on how to stop the whip down? When they have leg control and when they don’t?
try to prevent lockdown first. Arm control is key and do NOT get so high up on your opponent. I usually sprawl my leg out and sit back a bit to free my leg, get a 2 on 1 on an arm and start to work or reset from there.
Hello, i need help, say i have the opponents leg in a tight lockdown, i want the other leg but they keep sprawling or keeping their leg down, how do i get that leg, every time i get that leg, they pull that leg down so i dont have anything, any advice would be appreciated. I cant get the whip down, electric chair or stoner control because i need that leg.
i like this when used to escape but so often i find myself below a larger opponent, i weight about 70kg only, im 5'10, i tend to find myself in these positions alot so was hoping to be offensive/do sweeps, that way they are on the defensive and it helps me. thanks for the advice anyways
Switch over to dog fight. If they sprawl out while you have the electric plugs, switch your grip to a gable grip around their waist and pull yourself up to your knees.
if they sprawl go to dogfight and take the back or hit a reverse sweep its much easier when they sprawl but of course if he is smart he will undo the sprawl to get his balance back and here you dive hit an electrical chair and so on

I'm having a problem with keeping fuckers leg underhooked. I can get everything else. But they sprawl and there leg is stronger then my arm so I lose it. idk I probably just suck
When you first do the underhook scoop of the leg you want to try to get the thigh up on your shoulder from the very start. This will make it much easier to continue the move, and will stretch them to a point where their range of motion will be reduced, making it harder for them to remove the leg.
I had that problem too when I first tried Electric Chair on a higher belt. But that's the whole point of this video is how to get that leg higher up your arm so that you have more leverage to hold the leg. The Whip Down and upper-cut motion pulls your body towards your opponent's legs and it makes it harder for them to sprawl their legs.
I'm wondering the same thing. I've not tried this in a roll before so I'm not very knowledgeable of it. But it does look like its possible, if you've for a lanky from with long arms it probably could happen. But again, idk I've never played around with it yet.

lugbug27 if they won't give you the leg, and you have the under hook, then get on your hip, break your lock down and escape through the back door.
