Just Beautiful Karen! Getting lost while adding your branches....the best part of watercolours is to get lost. It helps us escape the stress of the day. Thanks for sharing this process🍂🧡🍂
Oh my goodness Karen I am so happy I stumbled on your site. I had typed in watercolour artists and there you were on the first page.. You are a magical teacher..... SO GIFTED..God Bless You. I will be watching a lot of your site , your paintings are absolutely gorgeous. ........... Colleen and thank you for sharing your gifted skill
If I am not wrong, I believe you painted this before and I used it as my reference video to paint one for my friend. It wasn’t an easy painting but your gorgeous colours kept me going. This time you have detailed voice-over, and I understood better, will give it a try again. Thank you very much for your videos.
So lovely and inspiring. I love all the different tips you give to make marks. I struggle with making branches.....they always look so contrived, but I think I just need to practice more to gain some confidence. Now to look through my photographs and choose one as inspiration.
Oh my🤩🤩🤩! What a beeeautiful painting😍😍!! I loooove it very much🥰. Thanks a million, dear Karen, for showing us how you did this fantastic autumn painting🌹. I'll give it a try for sure. You are a great teacher💐🌺🌳
I tried autumn trees with yellows and orange. But the red hits differently. So I think I’m gonna do it again. 😊 Thank you for the wonderful tutorial, Karen! ❤
This is absolutely stunning! Oh how I wish to duplicate this picture. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. Also the way you explain how and why you are using a particular technique ❣️
Wow, wow, wow, dear Karen, what a beautiful theme in this time!! Thank you for this video! Have a nice sunday with many sun, 🌞🍁🍂🙂🌞🌞! Greetings from Claudia
Thank you Donna, the palette is five years old, here is a link to a similar palette: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264767989757?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338345293&toolid=11000&customid=Cj0KCQjwqc6aBhC4ARIsAN06NmO-Yz0Yni3QkxYRNIK4P-b_bDK9sGP_8I7GfIJJafqKY-OW2GqH5VoaAkXUEALw_wcB&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqc6aBhC4ARIsAN06NmO-Yz0Yni3QkxYRNIK4P-b_bDK9sGP_8I7GfIJJafqKY-OW2GqH5VoaAkXUEALw_wcB
This is so pretty. How did you get your yellow to show at the end w/o it becoming transparent? Is a cad yellow sufficiently opaque? Thank you, Karen, for the beautiful work you share with us as well as your fantastic tutorials!
Beautiful as always karen. I have a question: I bought too much paper in a fit of enthusiasm and now its almost a year since i bought it; what i find is that one, the paper just doesnt stay as it used to when it had just come and consequently the colours just dont blend quite as easily as before and two, it gets these marks especially on the four sides. What could be the reason for this? I am using waterford cold press 300gsm.
I am sorry you are having trouble with your paper. I am not sure quite why it is doing that. Sometimes the sizing of the paper can be disturbed because it may have been stored in to cool an area. Looks amazing Karen! I learned a new technique from another tutorial, if you don't have a sponge you can use saran wrap crunched up a bit like a ball and dip it in the paint then dab it on the trees. It actually works great.

This is so pretty. How did you get your yellow to show at the end w/o it becoming transparent? Is a cad yellow sufficiently opaque? Thank you, Karen, for the beautiful work you share with us as well as your fantastic tutorials!
Thank you. Cadmium Yellow is a little opaque. You can also add a little white to your yellow. That can help 😊
Lovely, Karen! I will try it. A question, could I get the same effect with a stipple brush as you did with the natural sponge?
Thank you Mary. You could definitely get some good textures 😊
