One of the best series of all time. A real eye opener. Leaves you thinking. makes you think deep and you find yourself on the edge of your seat- literally. Fantastic.

Just discovered this show via DVD in California; along with "Shetland", the best series I've watched in decades. These actors are phenomenal. I'm not a fan of shows which rely on the characters talking all the freakin' time; I love the silences, I love the landscapes. What may seem barren to others, is gorgeous to me. Visiting Wales is on my bucket list now.

I live in Australia. I love this show not only because of the great stories but also the beautiful sceneries. Hope to go to Wales one day!!

This is my 4th time watching the series, can't get enough of the landscape and the long periods of silence in between dialogue to me, are just a unique and refreshing way to convey the thoughts and actions of the characters! 💜

Definately one show that needs to be continued for many seasons more. Been watching on Netflix in Canada and absolutely love it. Shame it stopped at season 3...

If I'd the funds and the cast was willing I'd have kept it going for another series at least. No idea where Prosser would've fit in if at all after what happens to him in the finale and he was def my favorite character. But what a series.

I love the interplay between Mared and Tom as colleagues in all three seasons. The usual cliché in a detective drama with a male-female duo would be to bring the two of them together over time, so I appreciated they only grew to be friends and developed a sense of camaraderie. It felt much more real, especially with all the personal baggage they had from their past. One of the many good character elements of this series.

I just started watching season 2 and had yet to see Mali Harries smile. FINALLY saw her smile in this RUclips video. She has a beautiful and brilliant smile. A very beautiful young woman. Great actor. Great show.

really underrated show, and nowhere near enough is done to promote the show abroad. Like the English ones are.

Fantastic series. I'm just watching it all again now. Dark, mysterious, eerie music, beautiful landscapes, an underlying tension between Rhys and Mathias which is almost intimate and the sinister Prosser. Very well worth watching.

Fantastic series. I watched for Harrington's involvement and for seeing something of Wales' culture (wished we had the option of watching the Welsh version as well as the English which the actors had to film simultaneously)
Can't explain why but Aneirin Hughes' always grabbed my attention as Chief Supt. Prosser. He obviously knew Tom was a gifted Det. and even suspected he might suss Prosser and those past crimes out yet he backed him up so often. His character rarely cracked a smile and always seemed on edge but very much in charge and angry if kept out the loop. A superior you'd fear and respect.

I'm with you on wanting more of this show. Just finished watching the last of series 3 yesterday, and I want more.
As an Aussie, I'd heard stories of Welsh names that were long and unpronounceable by your average man, but thought that was limited to railway stations. Clearly not the case though, with even first names a real challenge.

Just finished the series. WOW! Brilliant acting, storylines and production. Wales during the fall and winter is so bleak but romantic at the same time. Give me a cuppa and some Richard Harrington, please.

    • @ds1868

West Wales is not that bleak in winter. The production team I think have deliberately chosen more rainy days when filming to increase the foreboding mood of the series. On a sunny days the landscape here is just brilliant the air very clear with no pollution. And you would not believe a warm sunny day in summer. Hope that helps.

Hello Melissa yes the West Wales coast is dramatic if you drive SW from Aber on the A487 road you will see much of the scenery depicted in this show. Well worth a visit if you ever travel to Wales.

June, 2019....I wish that I was able to be more artful of my adulation for this Series, the characters and Scenery...Top Marks..
That said...Speaking TO THE CHARACTER...Tom was a Class A jerk !! Unreliable, non-communicative and behavior that puts others at risk !! Competent, caring, etc... A fine person - They just need a good slap - !! And, the actor portrayed him well.

try to change the way you play guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! be natural !!!!!!!!!!!! watch more american movies with big actors

  • @KimKim-pp5fn
    @KimKim-pp5fn 4 года назад +1

the movie is ok , but the attitude of the police guys is absolutely crap ! all act like they would be in SS ! all of them are very tense , they shout one to another , this is not a normal attitude , this is why the american thrillers will always be in the top because those guys know to combine the action with a little bit of humour . In rest it s ok ,

  • @claudiomauriciobravo6123

I like it, but it seems like a third world series, with many shortcomings, firstly if a policeman does not carry weapons and investigates a violent crime he cannot go anywhere at night unarmed, secondly it is not known to which country he belongs, at no time will he He sees a representative flag, not even in the police station, third there is no sensual scene, a series cold as an iceberg, fourth if it is an English series where the beautiful women of that beautiful country are, the only beautiful one is the blonde sergeant. fifth they are all short, sixth the houses, their roads are totally mediocre, they should imitate the Americans.
