- The day after the day I found out I have thyroid cancer. I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid cancer yesterday. I am feeling scared, but strong and blessed! I decided I wanted to record my thoughts and feelings along this journey so I can I hopefully help others going through the same thing!
Thankfully, thyroid cancer is very treatable & has an over 95% survival rate!
True warrior. Bravery in the face of adversity. Wishing you lots of luck, peace, and happiness 💚
Omg! Your thyroid nodule is the same location as mines and it was bulging out like yours for years. I left it for so long that it spread to my left side as well. I hated people looking at my neck. It was a goitre and no cancer but it was a solid goitre which I hated to feel. I had hard time swallowing and felt like I was choking, my blood work was normal but had this lump over 5cm. I just got it removed yesterday and I can breathe better. I’m hoping for a speedy recovery here in the hospital. I am happy I removed the full thyroid and I can feel confident again looking at my neck and not wearing turtle necks or possibly turning into cancer in the future since it was solid. I’m happy I removed it yesterday and waiting for recovery. I have a pic of it and it looks like a heart. I can’t believe something that size was causing problems to my air way and preventing proper flow to breathe. You will be ok for your surgery and get it out now because your overall health will be better.
Stopping by to leave prayers over you, over the
heart and hands of our surgeon and that you receive all the care and support
from your family and friends
I hope all went well. Keep us posted. Big hugs!
