    I love how the description started by describing its mediocre stats but it ended up being viable to a degree even in Ubers. That's the power of niches, right there.

      Just look at Quagsire, that guy just doesn't care about anything.
      Quagsire can be staring down Arceus or Kyogre and just still find some way to not care and win.

      Magnezone stayed in OU for generations just for killing Skarmory.
      Niches are powerful.

      @bdt2002gaming 5 лет назад +28

      Niches are indeed devastating in some cases, especially in certain formats. Having a powerful, metagame-efficent niche can bring a low-tier Pokémon to a high-tier level (Gen 5 Politoed & Ninetales are especially true for this, as well as the infamous Mega Kangaskhan and Z-Move Eevee), or can, in rarer case, turn a high-tier Pokémon into a god-tier, metagame-efficent defining behemoth, such as Gen 2 Snorlax in OU, Primal Groudon (who I think should be banned from Ubers along with Mega Rayquaza), and Gen 4 Garchomp.

    It's funny how some pokémon work. You have the sweepers, tanks, walls and then you have pokémon who prevent pokémon who prevent pokémon who use a specific move. Metagame sure is crazy. Not to mention a goddamn magnet who didn't move from OU for four generations of it's existence just because it can stop a certain bird from switching out. Gotta love pokémon. There sure is a role for a lot of pokémon. Even you, Dunsparce. You're a mini Togekiss and not even a bad one.

      my froslass (ice beam, thunderbold, destiny bond, shadow ball) worked well together with weavile and scizor.
      froslass was a good confirmed kill with destony bond and since it wasn't weak to fighting, it was good at baiting out fire types.
      so what i did was that i would usually lead with weavile (sub, dance, knockooff protect), have weavile lead with sub, if the enemy uses a non attacking move, i'd follow up with swords dance, if they did destroy the substitute i'd either make another sub or use protect to gain extra helath as my weavile was carrying leftovers.
      the idea was to use weavile to PP-stall fire type moves so scizor could just dominate from that point on, froslass was my contingency for when my opponent uses fighting type moves against weavile as froslas can safely switch onto those and then end that threat with destiny bond.
      so after weavile and froslass did their jobs, the opponent had one pokemon cripled, one dead and choise-stab-technician bullet punch scizor to contend with and few things could deal with that.

      @@lucasmoreiraribeiro I tend to always run a Froslass with a large focus on speed (vs Magikarp with fishing or vs fisherman Andrew on route 205) and sp. attack (vs Gastly in the old chateau) EV's- always use set up hail to take advantage of snow cloak, with blizzard (120 base power 100% accuracy in the hail), shadow ball and either water pulse for fire and rock coverage, or, double team to take advantage of the snow cloak evasion boost. With a good number of special attack and speed EV's, its ridiculously quick and is a hard special attack hitter. This was mentioned in another video by someone else, but I want to mention it here because it is a good idea.
    Voting for candidates should be moved out of the video comments section. Maybe there should be a video set aside just for voting, or maybe as a post directly on the channel. However the ultimate point is that the voting shouldn't take place on the actual "how GOOD was..." videos.
    It would be nice to have some actual discussions on these great videos, but if you have a pokemon you want to see (like my manta waifu Mantine *NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK*) you have to use your comment to boost your horse into the race. It would be nice to not have to rush onto the comments section just to leave another vote in the cacophony of suggestions, having to ignore the actual content of the video.

      Yea I can definatly understand and even agree where you're coming from, seeing virtually the exact same comment over and over and over and over and over in almost every single False video can get really repetitive, just for people who want their pokemon, I honestly try to find a comment that has... ANYTHING to do with the video content like people talking about the pokemon that was in the video even if it's a hate comment like "lol why are you talking about Smogon that is trash." Just give me something.
      I just feel like people now only want to get what pokemon they want as a video and nothing else and not actually comment about _anything_ that happened in the actual video. It makes me think people don't care what the video was and just want to get their request/comment out there hoping False will notice and do what they specifically want.

      They probably won't turn to little cup. This video series goes over how the pokemon do in terms of the main Smogon tiers (and VGC/Nintendo Cup), so metagames like little cup, monotype and such probably won't be gone over.

      I'm not really sure what you expect from the Ditto video, Up until gen 5 Ditto was pretty lack luster or could pull off using Choice Scarf to potentially get a transform off and then change moves. After that it just became a potential revenge killer. It is only as good as what it transforms into, ability to do so without wasting a turn or not.
