If you ever decide to switch back to Android I recommend OnePlus phones you'll have a smoother experience and longer support in terms of os updates and security updates an overall better experience compared to the Samsung devices
I have the XS too and I love it. I like a more compact phone and this is perfect for me. My hands aren’t the smallest and I am 5’10 and it’s just right. Previously I had the 7 and I loved that phone but I mistreated it and broke it by continuously dropping it until one day I did it in gym class and the digitizer didn’t work anymore
XS Max owner here. The best smartphone I've had in my life. Doubting on upgrading this year because I still enjoy using it (smooth af, great performance and sick screen), but that iPhone 11 camera man, it's tempting me...
Louis B yeah, XS Max is struggling with keeping up with my usage. Right now it’s 3 PM and I’m at 44% left. Went to the gym and been taking photos. Will check out the 11 Pro Max later in the mall and see if it’s really worth it in my hands
Mr. Amazing _ yeah I thought it was okay, and not a comparison to the weird name of the 11 pro max models because the XS is just two letters with a max instead of a number, a word and a max.
Vasilios Sotiropoulos agreed I love my Xs, 2020 alt least. I might upgrade then if the next phone is something impressive, plus the resale will probably still be great.
Been using iPhone X close to two years now, battery health is still holding at 96, only using wireless charging. Surprisingly space gray held up really good, not a single visible scratch. Used it with different cases and sometimes without. In my case 11proMax should be a nice upgrade, can't wait for the 20th for it to arrive.
On the topic of battery health, I still have my iPhone X that I bought day one in 2017; it's currently at 93% battery health and still gets me through the day with how i use it. I'm usually hovering around 35-45% at the end of the day when I go to bed. I still plan on keeping it another year then upgrading it when next years iPhones comes out. Very pleased with the two years of iPhone X ownership. Definitely looking forward to this third year.
MY XS MAX 512GB has been an absolutely FLAWLESS phone... In fact, it behaved far more stable than my iPhone X which had a lot of bugs that always made it feel a bit slower than my iPhone 7 Plus. iPhone X had overheating issues - especially when finalizing 4K video. I REFUSE to upgrade to the iPhone 11 because I want 1TB storage. I see no reason to upgrade just for a 3rd camera and a few upgrades. I'll just wait for iPhone 12. We have reached a point where the phones are so good that we don’t really need annual upgrades. Apple can push a new phone annually. Android makers are shooting themselves in the foot trying to “out-Apple” Apple.
Bigtruckseriesreview Motorsports Why don’t you get an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd gen 1tb WiFi+cellar?? That is what I have and now I’ve preordered the iPhone 11 pro max and mine will come on September 20th, and it will have the midnight green and 512gb. And have you even filled up 512gb of you’re iPhone storage yet, since buying the “iPhone 12” in 2020 if they will have a 1tb version, no reason to buy an iPhone with 1tb of storage if you’ll basically never fill it up, or even reach the point of full. And just got to flex on you a bit I’ve bought all my apple products in full price, not no trashy plan where you have to pay like $30 a month for the iPhone. Yep that $1000 price tag that I can afford.
I have had a iPhone XS Max since launch and it’s still a beast of a phone! This device helped me transition away from android devices, before I had a iPhone 7 I had a nexus 6p, note 5 and note 2. The fact that I have years of updates and have the best performance and easily go to Apple for any battery swaps etc. I’m only ever going to upgrade beyond 2020 if 90 or 120hz displays are introduced in a 1st or 2nd generation debut in the lineup.
I will always be an Apple fan. I havent purchase one in 3 years. I've never been a fan of the notch design. I wish I had a newer iphone. Hopefully next year they change it up.
My 10a Max has had LTE/WiFi issues since day 1. Got a replacement and STILL have problems. You can’t say there hasn’t been conductivity issues. I’m hoping the new 11 Pro won’t
Are you sure it’s the phone and not your cellular company? I’m not doubting you, I just know that I have the XS myself and I thought the same thing a while back when my data would simply not work only to find out sprint wasn’t working properly for anybody for like a week
Bri Little Positive that it’s not Verizon, my girlfriend’s phone will work while mine doesn’t . I used to manage a TMobile and have a line with them Ass well and still have the same issues.. It’s normally fine but when I’m down to like 3 or 2 bars it’ll act like I have no signal until I reboot or wait.
This is the first video of yours in MONTHS where it appeared that you enjoyed making it. That probably speaks to your satisfaction of the Xs Max. Too bad you didn't touch on the horrible modem/connectivity issues that plague the Xs.
The XS Max is the only phone I've ever had that I haven't once thought, "it really needs this feature". It has been a great phone sense day one and still is. If I weren't on the iPhone upgrade program I would be fine with keeping it a while.
I'm 6' with big hands and I can comfortably use SE, the 8 and at the end of the week, the 11 Pro. The only reason I can see for getting a max is for work or if you don't own an iPad.
Upgraded from a 6 to a second hand x. Great phone I’ll be keeping it for atleast 3-4 years unless a series update comes along. I can’t justify the price for small updates for how I use the phone.
My original xs max I got in October 2018, my battery health was at 97% in June. Then out of nowhere it dropped to 94%. Called apple and they helped me over the phone and we reset it. After the reset it was down to 92%. So they told me to take it in. Apple Store employee replaced my phone. So now I have a week old iPhone Xs Max and kinda don't wanna upgrade.
I love my Xs Max, had it for 7 months, it’s just reliable, fast, great pictures and video, and the whole software experience just works, it can easily last me 2 or 3 years and still sell for a great price
iPhone XS Max is a good phone. Got my entire phone replaced about 2 months ago cause Face ID stopped working. I don’t like that the phone is so big my hands are smaller so I have to really shuffle the phone to pull down the task bar, I don’t want to upgrade either because there’s nothing better about the new phones, I’ll just have to go another year with a phone that’s too big for me and hope that they finally release an iPhone with usb c because I would buy that in a heartbeat
I love how durable my iPhone X is. I have fallen with it in my hand on ice and landed on the phone with no case and it didn't crack. Very impressed even after 2 years
Love my XS Max! Purchased a year ago as well. Size definitely matters for me, as I read a lot of emails and texts. Will be holding on to this device, probably after 2020.
The past 4 months has been... rough for me as an Apple Sheep. June 1st I got my very first android device the OnePlus 7 Pro and man... I loved it way more than I thought I would. Android, the phone itself, it exceeded my expectations. After 3 months of use I plopped my SIM back into my XS Max, and for a while it felt t great, like I was back home after a long vacation. iMessage and FaceID are amazing, but man... after a week I switched back for another 2 weeks. Now I’m back on iPhone and even on IOS 13 I can’t help but sometimes feel like IOS is... lacking now, boring almost. I’m ending my days with around 40%, which is still great but on my OP I’m ending days with 60-70%, and a lot of other things constantly make me question which phone I want to use. I do miss the iPhone camera when I am on android, but GCam with some photo editing still delivers some very good results so,.. idk. Even now with an android phone it doesn’t disrupt my ecosystem too much. I have AirPods, an iPad pro, and iMac, and honestly I haven’t noticed much difference in how I use any of them. Again there are still differences where most of the time the Apple predicts wins out, but again, I just did know because the OnePlus 7 Pro feels so great to use. I could go on and on like how I love the iPhone’s design and how it feels in the hand, but it’s not enough to make me comfortably want to stay. Consequences of trying the other side.
LOVE my Xs Max. Able to get 6 and a half to 7 hours of screen on time (medium to heavy usage), with still 10% battery left by 9:30 pm. Honestly, it’s really hard to drain my battery before I end my day. Camera also has been awesome (esp Smart HDR), love the giant screen, love everything. Definitely gonna hold on to my XS Max until 2021, maybe even 2022.
I have the iPhone X right now, and I am hoping to upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro Max fairly soon. I am excited for the new (to me) giant screen and all the other features of the new 11 Pro.
Good long term review without the usual belittling of your commenters. Well Done!! I switch phones frequently but seem to always default back to my iPhone X.
I love my iPhone XS max and I'm going to replace the battery in December just to give me that new phone feeling plus I bought the one plus 7 pro this year so I can get the best of both worlds
Love my iPhone XS. Didn’t get the Max because I love the size of the XS and I came from the 6s Plus. Never felt like I didn’t have enough screen. Keeping this phone for the foreseeable future.
Still love my Space Grey 256GB Xs Max. Still feels brand new to me. I’m going to try to use it until 2021, maybe even 2022. We’ll see how it keeps holding up. I’m 5’2” and have tiny hands, but I just figure it out because I want a monster display. My friend and I both preordered the Xs Max last year and she shattered her screen like, a month in and hasn’t been able to afford to fix it. Just a shattered screen for a year. Yikes.
What is your Battery Level, on your iPhone XS Max? Mine is showing 100% battery. I try never, to let it die, and leave it that way. I try to charge between 20%, and 90%, and not to use inductive charging too much. It gets hot, especially, if it's left on the charger, up around 100%. If I have it on the inductive charger, I try to remove the iPhone, at around 80% charged, or it gets too hot. If left dead, for more than a few hours, that seems, to kill the battery capacity.
I missed the video where you maybe explained it but.. didn't you say you'd use the XR until the 11s came out? I remember you switching to the XR because of some twitter thing..
my iPhone xs max held up pretty well after a year of usage. still feels like brand nee but there’s only one device I’d be willing to switch to, the Oneplus 7 pro.
Hey Drew. I still have a 6s so I almost definitely wont get IOS 14. Do you think that I should get an IPhone 11 or 11 Pro right now or wait for the 2020 redesign?
Unison sure I would hope that they love tech enough that they can overcome their bias. I’m currently an Apple user. Maybe in the future I’ll try out an android phone again but there’s not enough for me to go back at this time. I live in the United States and most of my family and friends use iPhones so it works for me right now
Samuel James I do not contest your comment. I was an Android fanboy before and I was subscribed to Tailosive Tech during the time when Drew was still at his green attic. I came from Android Froyo to Android Oreo as my last Android. I gave the iPhone SE a go when Apple doubled the storage. Then I upgraded to my iPhone 8. You can tell where this is going. I used to loathe Apple products. I had an iPod Touch back in the day and enjoyed it but I never was a fan. I got an iPad 2 as a gift but I was really a crazy Android user back then. After using ~6 Android phones if my memory serves me right. I’m happy with my 2nd iPhone and I’m planning to get the iPhone 11. Let Android fanboys hate. Unless they totally switched and gave the other side a go for more than 3 months, then they can tell if they really hate iOS or just in denial.
I was trying to think of a university in California, but then I noticed, it would be USB-C. Just bought a USB C charger, and cable yesterday, for the first time.
I agree, Drew. The curved corners on the iPhone 11 and X series looks incredible, and is the best design choice for the phone. Boxy design doesn't look as nice, not nearly as refined also.
I’ve seen it happen, my iPhone se I use as an iPod, dropped from 100 to 98 and then to 96 like 2 weeks later cause I left it dead in my truck for 3 days
I love my regular XS though I have the yearly urge to upgrade I'm gonna hold on to it. Camera is still great, not the best but great anyhow. The size is perfect, I've been using the 4.7" and 5.8" iPhones respectively and never felt the need for a bigger screen on the 5.8" devices. I value a compact size over a bigger screen. Performance is still speedy and snappy as could be. I really just can't justify getting the 11 Pro and the 11 just isn't for me due to the lack of an OLED Display.
My Xs Max is a beast. Love it. I Will use it until 2020 or even longer.
Kein Name I suggest to use it longer I have the Xs max too
I’m gonna use it until next year
Kein Name no one cares ! I am getting the iPhone Pro Max so suck it !
Kein Name me too, iPhone 2020 might be beast or later
N L Cool, I got the Pro not max in midnight green, what color did you choose?
Love my XS Max coming from Samsung. Happy to have a phone that will be supported for more than two years.
What Phone did you have previously?
Deerick _ a SGS 4 and 6. Before that I had a iPhone 4.
Khaki Swag an S6, wow! My friend had an s7 and that thing was slooow, how was the s6?
If you ever decide to switch back to Android I recommend OnePlus phones you'll have a smoother experience and longer support in terms of os updates and security updates an overall better experience compared to the Samsung devices
Videos With Cay same my dad’s s7 became so slow after barely a year of use!
I have the regular IPhone XS and I upgraded from the iPhone 6 and I love it
Clayton Olden I have XS Max. Also upgraded from iPhone 6
Same
upgraded a year ago from 5c -the change was soo big
Clayton Olden i upgraded to an iPhone Xr from an iPhone 6. big change. love the design, camera, display, and its way better for editing and gaming :D
Jassiel Torres battery life is the big one man. Insane battery life on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s a game changer.
Louis B yeah, XS Max is struggling with keeping up with my usage. Right now it’s 3 PM and I’m at 44% left. Went to the gym and been taking photos. Will check out the 11 Pro Max later in the mall and see if it’s really worth it in my hands
Jassiel Torres How much does it ACTUALLY Cost...I have 150$ And I want to save up for one...
“I do definitely think size matters”
-Drew, 2019
definitely matters
Regular people who don’t worship overclocked paper specs realize how great this phone is.
iPhone Xs Max one year later... still a great phone and love mine! Won’t upgrade until next year
Same 🙌🏽
I won’t upgrade until 2021-2022 iPhones, my Xs Max is wonderful!
I totally agree I love my Xs max
Jesse Jimenez not me I still have my xs max I'm waiting for my pro max 256gb space grey to arrive on Saturday
Jesse Jimenez I’m doing the same thing
Am I the only one who liked the XS and XS Max naming scheme?
Mr. Amazing _ nope I love it I think the xs and xs max are underrated
I really love the bad name honestly the extra small max i love it!
XS especially
Mr. Amazing _ yeah I thought it was okay, and not a comparison to the weird name of the 11 pro max models because the XS is just two letters with a max instead of a number, a word and a max.
Xs one year later, absolutely love it, so fast and fluid.. wont be upgrading for a while ;)
Vasilios Sotiropoulos how’s your battery life compared to day 1?
Jason Ong pretty similar but would have liked better battery from the box tho
Vasilios Sotiropoulos agreed I love my Xs, 2020 alt least. I might upgrade then if the next phone is something impressive, plus the resale will probably still be great.
I have the galaxy j7pro...
🌚😪
jeez RUclipsrs are great at making tech seem obsolete LMAOO
Tyler Carr they’re just reporting on new tech. It’s not their fault new technology comes out every few months.
@@Hakunamutata916I know its their job I totally get it
I’m still rocking my iPhone X! Still a beast of a phone
Same, on iOS 13 beta too.
Same! Waiting for an actual “pro” iPhone
khemerong chean love my iPhoneX but it’s been 2 years and it’s time for a max upgrade for me :D
It's the same as the 11 so...
I have a Xs and it’s beautiful 🙂
Been using iPhone X close to two years now, battery health is still holding at 96, only using wireless charging.
Surprisingly space gray held up really good, not a single visible scratch. Used it with different cases and sometimes without.
In my case 11proMax should be a nice upgrade, can't wait for the 20th for it to arrive.
Marnnador I’m upgrading to the 11 pro max from the X too. I love my X as well but the bigger screen and much better camera definitely tempted me.
If someone expects their phone (iPhone, Samsung, etc.) to last all day with constant usage they’ve messed up. Phones are gonna die...
What’s your point?
Exactly!!! 👌
I mean, my Xs max lasts a full day 12h screen on time 6h standby
Edit: that’s with like 9h basic web/app use and 3h games
Huawei
You Will Never Know you will never know
I'm sticking with my xs max for another year, best phone I have ever owned by a long shot
Ur battery gonna suck lol
james webster it’s at 98 percent after a year , cute though
Shaun Hedden my xs at 93 lmao
james webster the battery health on the my Iphone X is 99 after 10 months. You don’t know what you are talking about.
Upgrade from iPhone 5 and Samsung J7 prime to XS Max an loving it
It would be interesting if you challenged yourself not to upgrade to the 11
I owned a 5s for 5 years and upgraded to XS Max. I LOVE it :) best upgrade ever.

Understandably
My iPhone 8 is getting to small for me now it’s not as comfortable as it was when I first got it
4.7'' is no longer confortable
I love how durable my iPhone X is. I have fallen with it in my hand on ice and landed on the phone with no case and it didn't crack. Very impressed even after 2 years
For those that have the Xs or Xs max, what is your battery capacity now after a year? Mine is an awful (or so I assume) 88%.
I have the XS. It’s at 91%
92% with Xs

Y’all gonna get hyped for the iPhone 497 s pro max
Dayton J Vlogs Hype? No, but I will probably enjoy that one too...

😍😍😍

You should get the liquid glass screen protector
If you don’t want the screen protector showing
Yeah, my iPhone XR is at 96% battery health after just 10 months!
Don’t worry. It won’t drain quickly. My XS Max went to 94% but has been at 94% for months without moving.
Hokuto Shinken Im still at a 100% after one year
My X has 2 years and 94% battery health
Dylan's Tech my Xs max after 12 months is 100%
Still 100% here
What is a „normal“ Screen on Time for the Max? I get about 5 Hours to 5:30. but I read from Users who get much more 🧐
I have the iPhone X right now, and I am hoping to upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro Max fairly soon. I am excited for the new (to me) giant screen and all the other features of the new 11 Pro.
I’d like to see a measurement on these “large hands” I’m guessing yours are very similar to mine at 5’10.

Love my iPhone XS. Didn’t get the Max because I love the size of the XS and I came from the 6s Plus. Never felt like I didn’t have enough screen. Keeping this phone for the foreseeable future.
xs has more screen than 6s plus 7 plus 8 plus. .1 inch lol
I have the iPhone 11 Pro and it doesn’t feel like 3D Touch is not here
Still love my Space Grey 256GB Xs Max.
Yikes.
Facial recognition is getting stronger and stronger every week On my xs max too :)
Hey, long term iPhone 7 battery is at 88%. Key is don't let it die. Try if you charge mid-day go from 20-80%
I’ll be using this one for a while, I’ll wait a couple more years until it’s worth it. Bought in November 2018 and battery is at 93% 🤷🏻♂️
I need that shirt.🤣 Where did you get it from?
but its got pit stains tho 14:31
I think its his merch
Zend Chandra like most shirts
What is your Battery Level, on your iPhone XS Max?
Mine is showing 100% battery.
I try never, to let it die, and leave it that way. I try to charge between 20%, and 90%, and not to use inductive charging too much. It gets hot, especially, if it's left on the charger, up around 100%. If I have it on the inductive charger, I try to remove the iPhone, at around 80% charged, or it gets too hot. If left dead, for more than a few hours, that seems, to kill the battery capacity.
trading my xs for a iphone 12 when it comes out in 2020
I missed the video where you maybe explained it but.. didn't you say you'd use the XR until the 11s came out? I remember you switching to the XR because of some twitter thing..
How big is the XS max, is it the same size as the iPhone 8 plus. I like the big screen but I want to be able to use it one handed
I switched from a 6 to a Xs Max and man, didn’t I love the decision.
I'm curious why the regret?
SaithusX there’s no regret he said he loved it
@@danielpelloquin9845 oh I read it as "I didnt love the decision "
SaithusX I said “didn’t I love it”, which is different
I’m still at 100% battery health!
My battery health on my Xs Max is 91%
I only got my XsMax this year - loving it!
Will it get the night mode which is just a computational photography?
Exactly its all software so they should be able pull it off on older phones
my iPhone xs max held up pretty well after a year of usage. still feels like brand nee but there’s only one device I’d be willing to switch to, the Oneplus 7 pro.
I'm a iPhone guy, but you need to put your hands on the Sony Xperia 1 that phone feels and looks great! And the haptic feedback back is awesome!
Hey Drew. I still have a 6s so I almost definitely wont get IOS 14. Do you think that I should get an IPhone 11 or 11 Pro right now or wait for the 2020 redesign?
Bruuuuuhhhhh a 6S, and you really asked if you needed to upgrade?! Fuck yeah you do 😂
Daniel Morgan no you can wait
hi im an xsmax user, just wanna ask if your xsmax had a limited warranty too pls let me know if you did
Why remove 3D Touch...keep it on the 11 pro at least
My iPhone X is still at 87% battery health 🤞 it still holds up till 2020
Wyatt Seuert nice:)
94% mine, almost 2 years old.
emil hristov WHAT? How?
@@Seufert8 today it is 93% :(. I just dont overheat the phone, general care, never use the whole battery and that stuff
I’m still shocked why Drew is still stuck not hitting 200k subs yet. 🤔
Jason Ong because android people are haters
@@samueljames657 you want Android users to subscribe to the channel?
Looking at his growth projections on Social Blade, he should hit 200K in 7 months.
What is USBC on his shirt anyway? USB Type-C?
Yes
I was trying to think of a university in California, but then I noticed, it would be USB-C. Just bought a USB C charger, and cable yesterday, for the first time.
I’m getting one tomorrow can’t wait to test it out
Well Apple only uses glass aluminum and matte finishes on their phones 😂 😂 still love them though 😂 😂
vanessa_ _maria nope lol the more expensive model uses stainless steel and the aluminum iPhone 11 has a gloss back glass
"Not the best looking hardware". I think other phones have come a long way in terms of looks (IMO), but I still like the look of iPhones the best.
I still have the original iPhone X from 2017 and would love a gold bigger version of it
Yellow Circle that’s called the iPhone XS Max goofy ass
Going bye bye...
Bye 😇
Can’t wait for your review on the Pro Max
I have an XS Max and I pre ordered the 11 Pro wanted the smaller size this year
Thought I wouldn't get used to all these swipes on the xs Max but got used to it easily. Plus the face unlock is smooth.
Do a one year later video for the iPhone XR
The software part of this video is so true. Having a new ios update make a HUGE difference. So excited for ios 13.
Can you do one with the XR?
I agree, Drew. The curved corners on the iPhone 11 and X series looks incredible, and is the best design choice for the phone. Boxy design doesn't look as nice, not nearly as refined also.
Thanks for your honest opinion on the iPhone xs Max
Why does everyone wanna switch to usbc?
I find it interesting that your battery drop from 100% to 97%. Every time mines decreases, it’s in 1% increments.
What wirless charger are you using?
