The real winner is the person who has the freedom to switch to whatever he wants. So many people today refuse to even consider because they are "locked" in
I actively refuse to be locked into any one company's ecosystem. Samsung for my tablet and one phone, Google for my main phone and watch, Sony for my earbuds, ThinkPads for my laptops, and I built my own desktop.
i love how hardly anyone is hating on apple/android in this comment section, but just sharing their personal experience with each device. that’s how it should be. this phone wars gotta stop
Never understood why people always choose one or the other. I use both all the time, use an Android and iPhone daily. It boggles my mind that people feel like they have to stick with only one.
@@mementomori29231 Have you considered the possibility that most people don't want to/can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on two high-end smartphones.
I’ve always been an Android user but decided to try Apple when iPhone 15 Pro Max came out. Got sucked in with the watch etc but really miss Android and how much more efficient it feels if I need to be productive and how much snappier it is. Swapping back to a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra next month. Also, love the choice of LP for the music.
I was in this exact position earlier this year. I liked the 15 Pro Max, but it just lacked in a few ways that were obviously better on Android. I picked up the S24 Ultra and was very happy with it. You'll love it.
About 12:54 on screenshots in bank apps, some banks CAN add the option to let you disable the security feature so you CAN take screenshots, but most banks don’t just add the option.
I still mainly used an iPhone 11. Looked this month at the iPhone 16 plus at 1100 USD and then got the offer from my carrier for a Samsung S24 FE for 440 USD. Combined it with a Samsung fit 3 for 60 USD. I am now an impressed android user...
Those closing words were the best I’ve ever heard from any RUclipsr!!!! “Stop worrying about whatever phone everyone else is using and just be happy with whatever phone you choose!” Well said sir! Thank you! Here in the US it’s always apple vs android or no one will talk to you because of what color bubble you’re messaging them with and it’s insane why that is! Even when it comes to dating. It’s like good luck because women will not talk to guys who aren’t carrying an iPhone. Wild!
It’s crazy seeing that from over here in the UK. I don’t think people care half as much as the general internet population does 😂 Thank you - gets a bit old saying it so often but it needs saying ! 👏🏼
My wife made the switch from a blackberry, iphone 4,6,x,iphone 12 and she is very stubborn. In the beginning the attraction was a purple s24 ultra, and a tablet deal for same price as an iphone contract. Now she became the most possessive android user, ready to prove any iphone user wrong. She also adores the s-pen, like a teacher with a sharpie all the time, kind of turn me on I must say😂
I switched from a Huawei flagship to an iPhone 15 Pro Max a few months ago. Although I have a lot of apps and structures, I found the switch extremely painless. I really enjoy the iPhone so far, it gives me joy to use it. I keep switching back and forth between apple and android every few years, for no reason, just curiosity and I never regretted going either way and the transfer keeps getting easier. There are people who really like to stick to "theirs" and prefer to stay with what they know/use - I just get curious about something else/new and switch systems. My hardware is chaos, next to the iPhone, I have a Samsung S9 Galaxy tab, an iPad Pro, a Macbook Air M2, a Thinkpad X1 with dual Win/Linux boot, two big beefy intel/NVIDIA PCs, one with Linux and one Windows. I use them all all the time and I never feel bothered by the "mismatch", it's wonderful :D
Dude I have bluetooth earphones with multi device connectivity and I was so confused on what other device is Linkin Park playing while I'm watching this video since I'm listening to this song a lot. Very confusing 2 minutes.
@@kgl.paw. Hey I was looking for someone to have this conversation with … Do you like Linkin Park’s new album? Doesn’t it give you a little bit of Paramore with the female in the group?
@@mintydog06 i was thinking to switch from iphone 12 pro max to s24 ultra but i think i will wait for the s25 ultra to see if they come with some innovation
I agree with all of the annoyances of iphone in this video. I used to get in the car, and the iphone was still trying to play music on the home speakers instead of the car speakers. Android gives none of these problems via Motorola, OnePlus, or Samsung. Android just works.
I've been using Samsung Galaxy Folds since 2019, and i will never go back to a slab phone. I love it. That being said, I'm not locked in. I refuse to allow myself to become closed-minded. I just haven't found anything better yet that I trust.
I have been using iPhone for 3 years exclusively, I got bored at the end and switched to S24 Ultra, then to S22 Ultra (to see if it's slower, it is not). Switching was a bit annoying, but at the end it worked out and all my data is now on cross platform apps. I still use Mac and iPad. My phone doesn't have to be on the same ecosystem. Yeah, losing the convenience features hurt a bit but I don't mind them anymore. All the caveats I had with Android phones before are gone. The flagships feel like flagships, even more premium than iPhone sometimes. My next phone will probably be a Pixel phone, since they're releasing it in my country soon.
Watching it using s24ultra , and proud to be an android user !! No walled garden approach , however and whenever customize the device , sideloading any app from anywhere like , this is just how heaven feels like i guess, for tech nerds like me !!
I'm an unabashed Android fanboy. Don't hate on Apple, I just think Android makes better phones. Sending this to you from my pixel 9 Pro XL and loving it
I just switched from iPhone to Pixel 9 too. Its been amazing so far. Sadly the accessories are very hard to find at my place here. People around me who use iphone have no idea what pixel phone is and they look down on it 🤣
Hi Pete! I went the opposite way. My previous iPhone was a 3GS, then I switched to Android and stayed with Android for a decade and more. Was using Pixel 7 Pro (love that phone by the way) before switching back to the Apple camp again, with iPhone 16 Pro Max just about 3 weeks ago. I'm missing a lot, a lot of Android features that I've long used to (I'm missing the back gesture so much!!!), but I'm also trying to appreciate what iOS can provide. Definitely will be holding on to my iPhone 16PM for at least 2 years - will see if the Apple ecosystem works for me by then before deciding whether to switch back to Android.
@mikechivy there’s a difference between swiping left to right and right to left. Right to left swipe to go back is a much more intuitive gesture than left to right swipe (for a right hander). And not all iOS apps supports left to right swipe to go back.
@@kissahime Its evident you have no idea what you’re talking about. ”right to left swipe back is a much intuitive gesture” what does that even mean? I’m sorry if English isn’t your first language, but that statement doesn’t make any sense. You can go back on every page, every app, every time on an iPhone.
Your Bluetooth issue with car play could probably be resolved with an automated shortcut. Go to "automation" > When CarPlay Connects "set to Run Immediately" > Change Playback Destination to "your car". You'll have to be connected to your car when setting this up I believe. I recently switched from a Pixel to the latest iPhone and I've been really liking Shotcuts and Focus modes, I find them to be extremely useful.
My old car with one of those external screens has been much more friendly with CarPlay than Android Auto. I don't have nearly as many issues now connecting and getting straight into maps, music and phone calls
Interesting idea! Thanks - I'll give it a try next time I get in. Although it's October now, so not likely to see the sun again for at least another 6 months, so no need to get my Ray Bans out now 😂
Bought an s24 two days ago to get into android for the first time ever as an apple user. I will not be “ditching” apple, but rather enjoying the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, as GenZ, I’ve grown up with apple devices and it is deeply rooted with me since a kid (my first phone being the iphone 4), I simply cannot just leave. The ecosystem is flawless for how I move through life. Lucky, I’ve always liked learning new things, and I’m having a blast with android. It is simply more than just “blue and green bubbles & facetime” and I wish more people my age would understand that.
As someone that repaired both and so was VERY familiar with both the Android and iOS ecosystem, I just love the way Android works. Maybe if I owned multiple Apple devices iOS would definitely make sense but I also like using PCs better than Macs so that won't happen most likely. The PC to Android ecosystem is improving as well. Maybe not quite up to where Mac to iOS is but definitely getting closer. Windows is about to add the feature that shows your Android screen on the PC for instance.
I didn't realise how much I utilize the dynamic island until you mentioned it in this video. I have used both platforms since 2008 when I got my Droid Eris. When the Galaxy S3 came out I became a huge fan of Samsung. I remember seeing the original Galaxy Note and loving it but it was only available with AT&T and as much as people were laughing at it I knew it was the future of smartphone sizes. I switched to the Note when they were available with Verizon and stayed with them until the Note 7 debacle, which to this day I felt like it was the best phone I ever experienced. I switched platforms to iOS with the 11 plus and have been with Apple since because I wanted a phone that just worked and played well with my friends and family. I have a 15 Pro Max for personal use and a S24 for work. I don't fully enjoy using the S24 partially because of the limitations/restrictions that my company put on the device. If there is one thing that Apple has an advantage of over other brands is simply the Apple store. I can go to one store and find everything in one place.
I’ve been on iPhone since the iPhone 6. Before that I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 and before that a flip phone. There’s three android phones I would consider carrying as a second phone and those are the Google Pixel, the Sony Xperia, & the Nothing Phone. All very unique and different with lots to offer.
@@PeteMatheson nice man. The foldables are dope. I had a Samsung fold for a while but returned it cuz I work in construction and that dusty environment does not pair well with the folds lol.
I use both but because of the watch my everyday driver is the 15 pro max. You’re right though, doing tasks in general takes more clicks on iOS, notifications are much less intelligent than Android phones and there much less ‘fun’ within the platform like three keyboards and camera app. iOS is also much buggier than Android since iOS 12 for me
I moved from the 14PM to the S24 Ultra and I love the phone.I got bored of ios in general and also the file management on ios which is still bad. That said I still feel apps look more polished. Also love the quality of your videos.
I moved from the S22+ to the S24 Ultra because my phone was slowing down and I have to say, the point that really resonated with me before even buying this phone is the fact that people switch to try something different. I'm still in the fence about keeping the S24, because although I absolutely love the cameras, it's a big phone and I know that the 16 Pro is smaller, and will have it's own great set of cameras. Honestly, I might pick up the iPhone just to try it and see which ones will be better long term size included after doing some camera tests. 😅
I went from the s22 ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max last year and don’t regret a thing. The reason? I was a bit bored of Samsung (had four of their flagships), that’s all. You cannot go wrong with these two brands 😊
And that is also very important aspect which people miss. OK, Android flagship is snappier than iPhone in the first year but you can keep the same iphone for 4-5 years and be the same happy and not feel it slowing down, whereas Android gets noticeably slower after 2-3 years - I tested this myself in the last 15 years being once in Samsung and another in Apple ecosystem. Apple wins.
Great video. New subscriber here. I've been an Android user for years. (Samsung s24 ultra user)in my opinion, it's just easier to use a around including, of course the customization and freedom. I feel like apple is just always behind in tech... But everyone is different, and it all depends on your preference. All the best!!!
I use both ecosystem on day-to-day basis and both have their own pros and cons. Just use whichever you like and can afford. Most brands have physical stores that allows you for a quick hands-on before deciding which to get anyways.
Great video, man. I wish people were more open minded about tech here in the US. Ultimately I agree with you though, people should use what they love and what makes them happy, because....in the end, it doesn't even matter 🤘
Oh yes the animation speed! Ever since discovering that option, I have my animation duration set to 0.5x which feels so much more responsive, it's great.
Well said at the end, Pete. Use what feels comfortable! Get bored, change things up, enjoy again, and repeat. Starting with LP-yummy, you’ve got great taste, haha!
🥳 haha thank you! Gets a little boring saying the same thing again, but people need to remember that it's just a phone at the end of the day 🤷🏼♂️ And yes to LP! Good to have them back :D
Hi Pete after watching your video now I get about switching Currently I am using 13pro But I feel like switching to S25ultra next year waiting for your review video of it after that I’ll take decision 😅
Hey bro, just wanted to tell you that you earned a subscriber! Great content! A bit biased as a die-hard Android user since the first Samsung Galaxy S, but I'm using an S23 Ultra now and I agree with everything you said here. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!
Great video. Your drawback section is a reminder that there’s no point in comparing an Android phone with the iPhone because the Android phone is a product whereas the iPhone is a component of the product. Most of the drawbacks you pointed out are due to the fact that there’s no Android ecosystem but rather it’s a field with some of the most beautiful flowers (some way better than Apple) and some of the most barren land devoid of any life. Android is all about customization of each part of that field. For Apple it’s about selecting the components (iPhone, MacBook, Watch, etc) of the ecosystem and it has to work because at the end of the day, it’s an appliance. So I am sure that the S24 Ultra is a spectacular phone, but you have to accept the lack of ecosystem and embrace the field with all its awesome attributes and horrible barren parts. For a tech enthusiast like you, I am sure you will have lots of fun and I am looking forward to watching videos about your experience with Android
Really insightful video Pete. If I wasn’t so deep into the Apple ecosystem, I would have switched to Android at this point. the new Pixels are very tempting
That orange/black Infinix keeps catching my attention throughout the entire video. It just shows how the exterior design of every smartphone like the Nothing Phone and Huawei plays such a significant role.
Great video, Pete! Personally, I carry both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro as my daily devices. Using them side by side has shown me the pros and cons of each. One thing I love about Android is the back button and the smooth display experience. Up until last year, I was strictly an Android user. As a pilot, I’ve always needed an iPad because ForeFlight is only available on iOS, but using iOS outside of that was always frustrating for me. For years, it felt like Apple was behind in features. My last iPhone before the 15 Pro was an iPhone 8 Plus back in 2018, and I absolutely hated the iOS keyboard. However, the Google keyboard app on my iPhone now is a game-changer. Here in the US, Apple is king, and Android comes second. Life revolves around iMessage, and I have to admit, I love it. Google’s RCS messaging is mediocre in comparison-you get spoiled with iMessage. Adding AppleCare and the ability to get in-person help at an Apple Store on short notice is another big win for the ecosystem, and it actually led me to buy a MacBook Pro and a new iPad. Interestingly, I still use a Garmin watch and Pixel Buds Pro with my iPhone 15 Pro. That’s right-AirPods just don’t do it for me. I find the Pixel Buds Pro sound much better, and they look and feel way nicer, which is why my daughter “inherited” my AirPods since I couldn’t stand wearing them. The real turning point for me was the iPhone 15 Pro adopting USB-C. That was a big deal. Now, all my Apple products use USB-C, so I didn’t have to change my setup. Both platforms are great, but Apple’s ecosystem and top-notch customer service are unbeatable here in the US-it’s like Kobe beef level quality. Android just can’t compete with that. Funny enough, it was an Apple Genius Bar rep who installed Google Keyboard on all my iOS devices! But at the end of the day, it’s all about iMessage. Living in the US, Apple is a must. Had they not switched to USB-C, well… yeah, I’d probably still be carrying my Dell laptop and two Pixels.
Love this comment! Thank you - and I think the first time Apple has been compared to beef 👌🏼 spot on, haha! Yep I'm picking up my Garmin again for my upcoming trips - much prefer the health and fitness tracking on the Marq. Although I'm tempted to take the Airpods Max with me again, just to try something different to my usual Sonos Ace that I've been using lately!
@@PeteMatheson Great points, Pete! I’m all about simplicity, and my Garmin Forerunner 965 is an absolute gem. As a cross-country coach, it’s been a game-changer for me. Setting up runs and sharing them with the athletes is super easy, and since all of our team’s Garmin profiles are live, I can track where each athlete is in real time with GPS. The athletes with advanced health features even let me monitor their heart rate, which is a fantastic tool compared to what iOS offers. Plus, I only need to charge it every 10-12 days-my Apple Watch was always dead because I kept forgetting to charge it! Garmin just works. It’s reliable, and I can still see texts and emails come through. But honestly, if I really need to respond, I’m going to stop whatever I’m doing and make a phone call anyway. I tried the QuietComfort Ultras but ended up returning them-didn’t feel as premium, and they were heavier than I expected. Thinking about giving Sonos a try next time I catch a sale, maybe even on Facebook Marketplace for a deal. But seriously, a Garmin watch comparison between iOS and Android would be amazing!

Tried an iphone for about a month- never got the hype over the different color text bubbles, (actually turned off imessage to stop that nonsense of colors (no reason for me to care what phone you are texting me from)) and just the overall lack of control on the phone was why I went back to Android.
Hi Pete. I just found you on RUclips a couple of weeks ago. I really appreciate your videos! I just watched why you switched to Android from Apple! Thank you for this video. I have been contemplating a switch for a while now. I have an iPhone 12 Pro. I was thinking of trying a Pixel. Is that something you might recommend? Or should I go Samsung? Any thoughts would be helpful. Please keep your content coming and thank you again! Cheers!
Thank you! Yeah honestly I’d recommend either for different reasons. Pixel feels more comfortable, S24U has better hardware. Give one a try, if you don’t like it then swap it for the other 😁
Another thing with media playback: you can listen to audio on 2 different outputs (2 earbuds or a speaker and an earbud) on a Samsung. Unlike Apple's music share, which only works with Airpods.
I made this simple for me… I use both I have 2 lines but I buy everything on Android since it’s cheaper but use iOS for other things like Wallet Banking!
Throughout years of covering Android, I've noticed that Apple provides the best emotional value with the iPhone. The features aren't as useful as Android devices, especially on Galaxy S and Pixel devices. Android devices provide more pragmatic, useful features where Apple adds very beautifully designed human emotional features.
Awesome in depth comparison. Not many other *switching* videos mention all the little details and quirks you discussed. One thing that really annoys me on iOS is the notification system and icon notifications are not always in sync with each other. Subbed!
Well explained and spoken about the two choices. I am into the Samsung Eco system. S24U, Chromebook, Tablet, Watch, Ring and then you have their washing machine, fridge and what have you.
Long time Apple user, made the switch to Android with Z-Fold 2. Loved it!! But also missed the seamless experience of the Apple garden. Went back to iPhone 15 Pro Max and fully encapsulated myself. Embracing all Apple devices and apps. It’s been amazing, but I miss the freedom of customization and not having the seemingly constant workarounds when interacting with others outside the “garden”. And the double amount of taps I have to do on Apple to accomplish the same thing on Android is just with a few. Seriously thinking about switching back. 🤔
This was a great video! Thanks for your honest review. The green bubble and "ick" comments I get for switching back to Samsung is the most irritating thing ever 😅
The background sounds though! Linkin Park! I'm currently in the process of switching to Android. Honestly, there's still a pull from iOS because my other devices are Apple. But there are things which are really good with the S24 Ultra.
The choice between Android and iPhone is a matter of individual taste and priorities. So one cannot say one is better than the other. Neither Android nor iPhone is perfect. Both have pros and cons. Also, it depends on what kind of user you are. Are you a casual user like I am? A casual user does not need rapid activation of smartphone functions. Performance is almost never an issue. A casual user can easily acclimate to 60Hz refresh. Examine your personal needs and wishes. This will determine your choice. Here are a few things to consider: 1. Ecosystem-which ecosystem serves you better? 2. UI/UX-which phone do you enjoy using more? 3. Compatibility with your friends and family. AirDrop and iMessage are good examples of this.
I daily drive a Pixel 6 Pro but have a work provided iPhone SE2 and it's given me enough of a reason to stay on Android. Both phones have their advantages but the Pixel feels more welcoming and less clunky to use day to day.
Switched to an iphone last year, it just made sense considering the rest of my family has one. Easy to share lists with my fiance, keep track on the kids and so on. These kinds of stuff tends to work very well. IOS isn't as fun, and can be very frustrating at times. But i think it get's better and better, with some fun design choices and small details like the profiles when you call someone etc. I'm not a fan of the watch compared to the galaxy watch. And I don't have airpods, an Ipad och an macbook so i'm not locked in. But I don't think i will move back any time soon with the family sharing functions working so well.
I love the fact that we have more of a variety now on which phone you want. For example, we have foldable and flip phones. And yes they're expensive but we have them. In other words, being "locked in" to one phone or platform is a choice.
@9:08 The Android mascot was named Bugdroid by the Google team up and til 2024 when the name was officially changed to "The Bot". The original designer of Bugdroid is Irina Blok, "a graphic designer and artist", according to Google's own Ai Overview feature in Chrome. According to Ai Overview, "The Android mascot's color is a shade of Chartreuse or Caribbean green, which Google uses as the logo color for Android operating system ". When Apple uses green bubbles in iMessage it's Apple being respectful of, Irina Blok, The Bot, and Google as a whole.
What a great way to say it! If you are bored, just switch. I am a civil engineer, an android user for most my life and the last 4 years switched to iOS. Even if I love the iPhone, I wish I had a stylus to draw my notes quicker , maybe that it would fold to save some space or become bigger, or just do something new and great but in truth they are just reliable and boring.
I’m actually a life long Apple user. I have used Androids in between. I’m currently rocking an iPhone 15 pro and ultra watch 2. I do like the ecosystem, but I’ve had many problems ever since the 18.1 update. So I’m officially getting rid of EVERYTHING Apple and switching to my pixel 9 pro XL. I just find myself happier and running into less problems with my pixel. They’ve come so far. They’re not perfect, but the sacrafices with pixel are so minimal. I’m so annoyed with Apples animations that make it feel slow. Especially over time. I also have connection differences. Pixel has better strength and is smarter when leaving the network areas. My home devices are more compatible with Google home than Apple home. I think it’s just time
Switched from S23 Ultra to iPhone 16 pro max, which is my first time using an iPhone since the iPhone 4s. Tbh I am loving it, there's some features that are just better on iOS and others that I'll miss from android. The phones really aren't that different overall surprisingly, the main thing I like is actually the apple watch S10. In my opinion, it is so much better than my galaxy watch 5 I was using before and it isn't even close!
Hey, I really miss my Android phone. I had a Fold 4, but I had to send it in for repairs so many times that it was just easier to get a new phone. But both Google and Samsung phones were way too expensive, like £70 to £80 a month for what I need. The iPhone was sadly cheaper, but I don't like it because it doesn't let me download what I want, like APKs. They don't let me have my multi-app window. I love the multi-tasking features of Samsung. I miss them. I can't even have a messenger bubble on the iPhone as it's forbidden. 😂 I just don't like it. The moment I can, I'm getting an Android again.
Great review! By the way, WhatsApp is total crap to exchange photos and specially videos even in HD. The quality is below anything acceptable specially coming from iMessage. But RCS does a great job!
With my pixel if I’m on hold when ringing a company for a length of time, pixel has a on hold feature where it goes to “sleep” essentially and wakes up when there is someone back online on the other end ..this feature alone is brilliant , especially if your on hold for ages
And that open element is an issue... your data. I used Android over iOS for 8 years before moving back from a security standpoint. Building PCs since late 80s, 35 years plus of building out networks I just found too many holes. After I brought this up to peers I found out most security engineers I know around the world have moved to iOS and MacOS over the past 4 or 5 years due to similar reasons (I'm an old Unix / Linux guy anyway to having a real UNIX kernal is a wonderful thing with MacOS). You note that the different elements "pretty much" work... I'm busy, I don't have time to deal with "pretty much." While it seems like Apple costs more I'll note a huge change some may miss. I have 4 sons, when all of us had Android everyone wanted a new phone almost yearly, they couldn't wait to upgrade. After moving to Apple it's the exact opposite, it works, they really don't want a new phone, basically "I'm happy, I'm getting updates and it doesn't feel slow." This could be because as you note, there is a new Andoid phone almost every month or it could be due to the iOS integration with other products. I think the bottom line though, if security isn't a great concern, is exactly as you state at the end of the video. Quit worrying about what everyone else is using and use the one that works for you. For my family and now extended family as well, that's iOS after almost a decade in the Android camp. It definitely seems like you are enjoying the S24 Ultra, kudos to finding what works for you!
funny, i work in tech and most of the security teams personal phones are androids. our chief researcher uses a pixel. my work phone is iphone cuz well i dont have a choice. my personal phone is S24U, and security? android has tons of options, plus i can add real security software, like bitdefender and it has full access to the disk, api and OS. bitdefender on ios does nothing. sure, iphone has pretty good defaults, and decent hygiene. and some pretty good advanced security features. but to say nothing of that exists on android? yea not a thing. browsers on iphone are all basically safari skinned, on android all the browsers are the browsers full stack. and i can set any to be default. and some have extensions. most security folks say, top phone for security is a pixel flashed to graphaneOS. also, if security is your top concern, think about this. on iphone there is NO way to know if your phone is hacked unless apple tells you or you happen to notice. (yes it happens) at least on android you can layer on security tooling.
Life long Android- made the mistake of trying an iphone- nothing was simple or straightforward. Worst few things were, no numbers on keyboard, no pause button on video, no back button and every setting is having to go into settings. Overall bad experience- went back to Android- never again apple!
I totally agree. Used Android phones for years and just switched to iPhone for the "fun effect" you mention. Could probably go back to android for my next phone. But I am french and it look-like it's more difficult to switch in USA, mainly because they more often use iMessage than us who mainly use whatsapp and signal.
I love using the Pixel 8 Pro and cannot wait for the Pixel 10 Pro next year. I am also contemplating getting the iPad Air M2 to replace my Surface Go 2 as it runs the editing software (Da Vinci Resolve) I use on my PC, whereas, Android is so mixed in specs that I do not think the makers of Da Vinci Resolve would touch it.

Love my fold 6.

At least you're not stuck.
I went from the note 20 ultra back to iPhone and the back gesture is one of the things I miss the most.
What is the “back gesture”? I’m confident you just haven’t figured out the features of the iPhone…there are back gestures on an iPhone.

Windows is about to add the feature that shows your Android screen on the PC for instance.
when you started the video, i liked it. when you ended it, I subscribed. that ending was a blast.
Ahh this makes me happy 🤘🏼
Featuring the return of LP and switching to Android. Right in the feels mate!

Oh very nice! Yeah I’d dual carry the 16, S24 and Pixel, also carrying a foldable at the moment, either Pixel or Honor 👍🏼

Happy on my Pixel 9 Pro, I just love tech so here I am😂
P9P is great, definitely close to the S24U this year.
You cannot go wrong with these two brands 😊
yeah I'm really liking the smaller size of the 16 Pro this year (not being forced to get the Max version) So will be dual carrying for the forseeable!
All the best!!!
words of wisdom! Thumbs up for your honest opinion!!

Very informative and helpful video, Pete. Thanks!
Thank you!
Exactly this! Thanks for leaving your thoughts here - agreed and makes total sense!
Really insightful video Pete. If I wasn’t so deep into the Apple ecosystem, I would have switched to Android at this point. the new Pixels are very tempting
Pixels are really nice this year! Very close second to the S24U for me
That orange/black Infinix keeps catching my attention throughout the entire video.

But there are things which are really good with the S24 Ultra.
haha thanks! Glad you appreciated them :)
Here are a few things to consider:
Great video mate. You are right. It's a personal choice. No one phone is better than the other.
Thank you, spot on!
I love the fact that we have more of a variety now on which phone you want. For example, we have foldable and flip phones. And yes they're expensive but we have them. In other words, being "locked in" to one phone or platform is a choice.

The Android mascot was named Bugdroid by the Google team up and til 2024 when the name was officially changed to "The Bot".
Exactly this!
People get too passionate about what phone someone else uses 😂
Hey love your haircut mate ❤️
Great video, Pete. Love the new lineup Linkin Park intro tune you have used. 👍
Always looking for some fun music to intro each video! Thank you :)
Nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
this was really helpful! thanks!
great quote at the end there
Great video man!
Thank you!
I like that answer: Switch to a phone that you like using simple as that. So many people follow a trend and don't think for themselves.
Thanks Pete. Best regards Martin
It definitely seems like you are enjoying the S24 Ultra, kudos to finding what works for you!
funny, i work in tech and most of the security teams personal phones are androids. our chief researcher uses a pixel. my work phone is iphone cuz well i dont have a choice. my personal phone is S24U, and security? android has tons of options, plus i can add real security software, like bitdefender and it has full access to the disk, api and OS. bitdefender on ios does nothing.
sure, iphone has pretty good defaults, and decent hygiene. and some pretty good advanced security features. but to say nothing of that exists
on android? yea not a thing. browsers on iphone are all basically safari skinned, on android all the browsers are the browsers full stack. and i can set any to be default. and some have extensions.
most security folks say, top phone for security is a pixel flashed to graphaneOS.
also, if security is your top concern, think about this. on iphone there is NO way to know if your phone is hacked unless apple tells you or you happen to notice. (yes it happens)
at least on android you can layer on security tooling.
I've Never used any Apple products. I'm pure Android phones Only.
Honestly both of them are great! It just comes down to what you prefer
I tried Apple for a year once I had to go back to android
Both are great for different people. Apple is allot more seamless and consistent in their OS, something no Android has.
Life long Android- made the mistake of trying an iphone- nothing was simple or straightforward. Worst few things were, no numbers on keyboard, no pause button on video, no back button and every setting is having to go into settings. Overall bad experience- went back to Android- never again apple!
@@georgestrus9333 or having to go into settings to change anything in an app instead the thing you want
Oh interesting! Starting to use Davinci here too! Yeah the iPad M2 would be great for Davinci for sure, way overkill for most things!
