The House Judiciary Committee took up public Trump impeachment hearings on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
The hearing examined the premise of “high crimes and misdemeanors” through testimony from 4 scholars and experts: Noah Feldman, Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law and Director, Julis-Rabinowitz Program on Jewish and Israeli Law at Harvard Law School; Pamela S. Karlan, Kenneth and Harle Montgomery Professor of Public Interest Law and Co-Director, Supreme Court Litigation Clinic at Stanford Law School; Michael Gerhardt, Burton Craige Distinguished Professor of Jurisprudence at The University of North Carolina School of Law; Jonathan Turley, J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at The George Washington University Law School. Here are highlights of what they and lawmakers said.
