I just got mine and you’re 100% correct. I stayed on P1-A right out of the box for like 2 hours. And I also made the same faces you’re making. This little thing is hands down the best pedal I’ve ever purchased.
I think I would probably just stick with the Andy Timmons sound. It works. A big plus is that you don’t really need a reverb with it. That’s one extra space on the pedalboard and I use a small pedalboard so the space gets used.
I love how you broke down the info, and your sounds you played, I remember having that same feeling just plugging it in for the first time, and it hits you! excellent demo thanks Sean!
Awesome!⭐️ This is the best demo i've seen so far. Here is the ultimate delay pedal to have. You're playing is insane and nice gibson studio with the chrome pickup rings and pickguard. Thanks for this video. 👍
Great demo dude. Thank you for demoing the different attributes within different songs/mixes. I’m still convinced that this is the best sounding pedal I’ve heard in about 10-20 years. That said, I can see why his small board is like the Halo, his AT+, a Blues Driver, a chorus pedal, tuner and a Wah I believe. I’m thinking of doing something similar but with a volume pedal instead of the Wah. I can’t think of anything else that I would need. Maybe the MXR Duke of Tone instead of the BD but that’s it. This pedal is ridiculous and well worth the $299 asking price. I can’t say that for a lot of pedals these days.
@@RobertKeeleyTV thank you sir. The DDR is the bomb as well and I’ve used it with a Strymon Iridium and it got the job done. I appreciate your dedication to excellence.
Thanks! I believe the amp is the Rockerverb with A LOT of compression, a Boss DC2w and the Halo. I think I used IRs here but I don’t remember for certain.
@@MusicChannel-rf5zz thanks! I’m pretty sure it’s just my Orange Rockerverb’s dirty channel. I may have been boosting it with a Way Huge Green Rhino but can’t recall 100%
I think the only mode where stereo is really the best set up is the “Halo” mode. The rest of the modes are stereo but don’t have a very apparent difference in a Left/Right spread. So to ACTUALLY answer your question: I think it sounds great in Mono but the Halo effect is best in stereo.
It’s so interesting that the Halo is a delay that has some reverb qualities in it, and the Cloudburst is a reverb that has some delay qualities in it. Two very different pedals, but each with some overlap.
I love mine. I just use the AT sound then cloned it to 1b but turned the mix and repeats down. I use the slapback on 2a on occasion. I get compliments on my tone every time I play. I’ve pretty much retired my Helix in favour of this pedal
excellent! i too often find myself not needing any other sounds. i do have a straight 1/4 note delay programed on 1B but the Halo sound is just...perfect
@@SeanPierceJohnson Thanks. Just bought my Halo. Still trying get the tone at @6:00. I'm running the Keeley Compressor with the Keeley Noble Screamer and Halo. Your tone is great!

Thx for the video. How do you turn the Halo, whenever mine is plugged I always have some kind of echo even if A & B switches are off ?
i don't have that problem. do you have any other delays on? like in your amp or another pedal?
how does the pedal sound in mono? I don't have a stereo rig.

Really nice demo it’s amazing, may I ask what you use for your dirt/leads sounds? Thanks !

Have not tried the Cloudburst yet. But it’s interesting to hear that about it. Would be fun to pair the two

At first I was like: "less talk, more rock!"
Then the back half of the video started, and I was over moon. Were you using Drop-D or DADGAD tuning?
Which DCW? And which cables are you using. Please.
the "DCW" is the Boss Waza Craft DC-2w Dimension C. I'm not using any special cables. It's all normal guitar cables

the Boss rv3 or this thing??
two different animals. keep in mind that the Halo still will give you echoes. Reverb pedals won't do that.
