• 2 Nights In Grizzly Co...
You are so lucky. My dream is to travel more and see all the beautiful places that God has created.
No traffic, no cars, no congestion, no construction noise. Peaceful sceneries once again.
They need to have a Decibel limit on Entering the Park. Nothing more annoying that morning in the Park and hear Bikers coming from 2 Miles away. You are allowed to carry a Firearm in the park to Protect yourself against Bears. Would never have to use it, except as a last Resort. Cheers!?
Not monetized? Is that how you get a permit these days? People were just have to buy some Prints or something from you. Shhhh! I did not say that!

I sure hope y’all had a .44 magnum revolver or at least bear spray but preferably both. I’d be hard pressed to sleep soundly in grizzly country. Such a FABULOUS video! I felt like I was right there with you both. That had to be the best beer Joey had YTD! 🤠
Unfortunately if you are sleeping when a grizzly comes in neither of those is going to help 😂
If you have a .44 magnum, make sure the front site is filed off. That way it does not hurt so much when the griz shoves it up your ass.
Catherine is carrying bear spray - you can see it attached to her shoulder strap. Bear spray is significantly more effective than a firearm at deterring a charging bear.
As always a great video! I really enjoy the scenery! Safe travels!
Such Beauty and Danger in the same place!!Be safe and enjoy!!!Thanks for all your time and effort to Share your experiances!!
Yellowstone and Grand Teton are amazing, Everyone should go there at least once to realize how precious this beautiful country of ours is. When I first saw Grand Teton I was amazed how beautiful it is! I had never realized there's a place in continental United States that's so beautiful! Thank you Catherine for this video, It was well worth the wait. Keep safe, and best wishes.
I was blessed to wake up to that view for the first 25 years of my life😊. I know what you mean. I sure wish I could afford to go home.
Grand Teton is so beautiful indeed. One of my fave places to visit.
Love it when you’re hiking with Joey. Scenery, usually some edgy sides and always a tranquility that over rides all
Slough Creek, one of my favorite places on earth. I spent many nights in that valley. Now I am too old but your video took me back. I still recognize those hills. Thanks so much for the trip down memory lane.
Love these "hike-with-a-guy" videos with the overnight tents, big campfire, and drop-dead gorgeous landscape. Fabulous !!!
Beautiful! Good to see Joey too. I look forward to his videos also. Thanks Catherine!❤
Thank you Catherine' So Beautiful Images' Narration and Music ✨🎼
I enjoy seeing you with a companion on these off the grid trips- I’m a Mom and I worry ☺️ Beautiful views captured so well. I’ve never seen an unbalanced view from you 💚💚💚 thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing Catherine 👍 ✌️. Very nice as always. Please be safe out there in grizzly County
You travel to some awesome places, Thank You for taking me along. Very relaxing video. Well done!! 🙏👍😎
Love your hiking videos👍🏻. So thank you for an enjoyable journey. Also nice to see that Joey is still alive 🫢😂
That time lapse shot of the night sky was CAS. Loved it. Lots of great scenery.
Great time. Good hike across beautiful locations, mountains and forest, watching nature, tanking a camp under stars on the sky, walking and doing exercise. Hike will be ever a good experience.
AWESOME scenery ..... "Thanks" Ms Gregory !!!
Great video! Liked your gaiters!
That bacon burger looks delicious. I also love how you captured the stars. 🤠
Damn, your photography is world class.
My friend and I have flyfishsd Slough Creek several times. It was always good fishing with quite a few Bears around. Thanks for another great video
As always, Kat, bravo. Your edits and camera work are fabulous.
So peaceful. I love it.
Through sacrifice and dedication, you have built a wonderful life for yourself. ❤️❤️
Good morning Catherine from Red Lodge Montana. I moved here 5 months ago from North Central MT (320) miles north when I retired August 2021. I lived there 16 months and got to explore Glacier National Park and all the other beautiful scenic places up there. Now I'm excited to see and explore the scenic Beartooth Hwy dubbed the most beautiful. Red Lodge is the beginning of it over here to it. It's 68 miles on the Beartooth Scenic Hwy to North Entrance of Yellowstone Wyoming. It's set to open end of May. They are currently snow blowing it. That hwy is closed October to May because of the elevation and snow. I was blessed to find an amazing apartment here only 7 miles to the ski resort. My apartment has view of the mountains and about 6 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌 come every day right up to my living room window. So awesome. I'm so happy I retired here. Yes we have about 5 months of winter and snow but for me I'm a snow skier still at 63 so I love it and it's so beautiful to see it. Looking forward to exploring the place you are at now. I haven't gone backpacking like you but I get out and walk trails and just driving around in this area is amazing scenery. It's so beautiful here. Thank you for sharing your adventures. It inspires me to go see these places.
Candy, thank you for your retirement story!! LIke Catherine I grew up I'm Southern California and now live in Arizona. But love Montana and been thru there traveling to Glacier NP and then onto to Banff and Jasper backpacking in the Canadian Rockies years ago. I will perhaps make it up to Red Lodge someday. Enjoy your retirement in beautiful Montana 😃👍
@@dutchman6969 How funny...I too grew up in Southern California. I lived there 20 years, then moved to Florida lived there 24, then Texas 3 before retiring to Montana 2021. So I've had plenty of beach and hot weather for 47 years lol. It was time for me to enjoy my love of snow skiing and other winter sports before I get too old lol. I love the 7 months also of spring, summer and fall here. Not so very hot like the other places I lived for sure. It's great weather to hike and explore the beauty here. Thank you for the comment 🥰
We
Loved Red Lodge❤
Congratulations on your retirement! We’re going to be camping in the Red Lodge area in September, planning on driving the Beartooth.
Used to love Red Lodge years ago when cowboys actually rode into town on horses. Way too many out of staters now live there on their little five acre or so homes. The town is mostly real estate offices it seems. The skiing is still great if the snow is deep enough
Thank you for bringing me along on your adventure. This video reminded me of what first attracted me to your videos. Music and video were spot on!
Thanks Cat... love yours and Joey's video.. especially yellowstone.. what an amazing place
Hey cat, luv the wildlife and scenery, YES
I wish I had the courage to camp in Grizzly country... the stories of people getting RIPPED out of tents in the middle of the night is terrifying... but I get the odds are worse just driving there!! I love the video, the sights, the exploration, its AWESOME!!!!! The TRUE Wilderness Frontier!!!
Nice editing, good Background music, love the star trails Timelapse!
Big fan of Coconato videos. In particular a HUGE fan of the Yellowstone vids which I've watched many times. Soulful place for sure. Very soothing country. Glad you two got in a trip together. Thanks for this vid.
Beautiful and interesting as your videos always are love the trip. Your friend in Pennsylvania. Bob
Thank you for bringing along Joey. He is one of my favorite RUclipsrs, as are you, and I haven't seen him much lately.
Brilliant videography and editing. Thank you.😊

What a view to wake up to. Thank you for the great video.
I could hike Yellowstone again and again and again (and I did!) and never get tired of it. Beautiful trip, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Wonderful views and love the wildlife.
❤❤
The 2 of you are my favorite backpackers and videographers ❤
I'll second that!
I lived in Yellowstone year-round 2010-2022 and hiked the Slough many many times and every time I saw at least one black or grizzly bear, it adds greatly to the excitement of the raw wilderness.
Thank you, again, for sharing this back-country with us armchair travelers.😊
Yay, good to see Joey as well, enjoy guys
I love Slough Creek. We camped there in 2013. The wildlife out there is thrilling. Hi 👋🏻 Joey. Beautiful video Catherine! Ty
Catherine, standing there mesmerized by that primordial landscape, do you ever experience the feeling that you've flashed back to a previous life, thousands of years in the past in those moments? Regardless, another superb episode. Cheers.
Another beautiful video and views.
The night time shot with the stars was amazing!!
Wow! So envious of you two.
What a beautiful trip Cat your filming is top notch as always.Yellowstone is on my bucket list to hit up someday.Until then thanks for sharing your trip with us all.

Hello,Cat

The first you❤are❤back
The second no bears!
Yaaay!
Too much,too much
Your videos are always right ratio of "quiet" and " talk" so we can enjoy peacefulness too.
Thank you.
Great trip Cat & Joey. 😊 Love all the animals & beautiful Yellowstone landscape. Til next time👍🏻🙋🏼♀️
My first time camping on Slough Creek was in 2006 and we had to hang our packs from provided poles. We had a grizzly walk right through our camp very early in the morning on his way down to the creek. Glad they have provided bear boxes these days.
Welcome back to Wyoming Cat!! We missed you. Thanks for the share.
Thanks for sharing, excellent work!
WOW! absolutely beautiful video/hike scenic visual day dream. that was the best view of Yellowstone i have ever witnessed. THANK YOU.
Baby Bison are called Red Dogs. That was great Catherine! Thanks!
More Joey, more Kat hikes! Love Yellowstone and all it’s unique features. Thanks for sharing and hope to see you guys in future vids.
This was a wonderful video of one of my favorite places in the world, thank you.
Dear Catherine Your time lapse of the night sky was beautiful. I was up some years ago on the dark of the moon. Fir the meteor shower, they were truly magical nights. Again, dear friend, ya never go lookin' for GRIZZ, IF 1 ever crosses ur path, you'll never go lookin' again. 😉 To yournext adventure. May you always have a warm breeze at ur back, and the sunrise 🌅 before ya. Be safe fellow traveler
I saw a grey wolf there a few years ago. He/she? walked right in front of me - didn’t see me! It was taller and lankier than I imagined but still a great thrill. Love the video of the bison, especially the little guy nursing. Great shot! Enjoyed the birdsong too! Best wishes Catherine!🍀🙋🏻♀️
I had the pleasure of having a wolf come up to my car(with door open) about 10 years ago; he just looked at my wife and I ; in November, lots of snow, no one around 🤩😎
I’ll be there in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video! You're in my backyard right now. Well it used to be, I sure can't afford to live there now. I was definitely blessed to have been born and raised in such a beautiful area. Watching this video filled my heart thank you so much.
Thanks for taking us back!
This is now one of my most favorite videos. Love that part of the country! Reminds me of the scenery from the movie Legend of the Fall. I especially loved the intro! Spectacular! ♥️
Cat we really loved your video. We have been to Yellowstone, but not to the back country. My long time friend used to spend his summers there as a ranger keeping the bears and the campers apart and tending the remote cabins. It was nice to actually see it. Great animal shots as well. You must have a long lens or were really close to get the mom and baby Bison shots. Thank you again,as always, for taking us along on a journey we are not able to make. Be safe out there!❤
Thank you Todd. I used a 100-400mm lens and they were pretty close. I shot that scene from the car. :)
Cat...
Good evening angel. Your smile is made from sunshine. I could never get tired of looking at it.
Randy. 🎹
☺️ Thank you Randy!!
Fantastic video Cat, great to see you on the trail again!

Thank you for such a lovely video. I plan on going on my first solo hike in Yellowstone in May. I think Slough Creek will be one of the hikes now ;)
You and Joey are tight! He seems like such a nice man. That was a sweet little trip and a good introduction to spring.😊❤
The return of sweeping vistas and beautiful scenery to your channel! Much enjoyed it. I would feel on edge in grizzly country.
Wow an amazing trip. Weird to see so much snow this late in may. Thank you for another great video.
Got stuck on this trail at night, my fault I miss managed my time and had to cowboy camp on trail... Had a grizzly visit me and my friends and get a lil to close for comfort. Glad to see your trip went smoother great video
I agree with being beautiful all the way.
Just makes Sunday mornings that much more worthwhile to watch.
Enjoyed it all. 😎
What a beautiful place. Being from the swampy lands around New Orleans, the mountains are breathtaking. Thank you for this awesome hiking trip.
Loved this beautiful video...spectacular scenery...looking forward to more.
Beautiful location and well captured. I have traveled extensively in the lower 48 states and in my opinion, nothing compares to the diversity and grandeur of the American West, Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Always a pleasure seeing one of your videos. To see when one can’t go is a joy.
Beautiful at it's best!! Thank You for sharing. My most favorite place on earth also!
You are such a "trail fox" Cat!!!! Keep on trekkin'...🥾🗻🌄
So beautiful, thank you for sharing your adventures!
Loved it all, from the pretty fire, to the morning full of birdsong, hearing the rushing stream and seeing Joey's back-haha.
Amazing trip. Thanks for sharing. Your music selection always transforms me. Always look forward to your next adventure, big or small.
How come Joey has deleted his channel 😢
Love your videos and love Slough Creek.
Yeah, I like the wrap up at the end, discussing the trip, just wish it was longer. I've seen another YTer do this and it not only brings closure to the trek, but it answers questions on why someone might want to attempt to do it. And I think I will leave the hungry spring grizzlies to you 'brave' guys while I sit home and armchair quarterback...take care and travel on !!
Thanks for sharing. Slough Creek is one of my most favorite places in the world. I can't wait to get back up there. Soon I hope.
Thank you, Catherine, for taking us with you on a favorite Yellowstone trail. Slough Creek holds some fine memories for me. In 2011 my wife and I walked the trail where my brother and I had walked in years before. This last time I carried the ashes of my brother and deposited them on a hillside overlooking a little lake. You need a park permit to do that (which I had), but didn't see anyone else on the trail. You missed a good photo opportunity......the horse drawn wagon that goes into town for supplies for the ranch at the end of the trail, which is the only access.
What a gorgeous place. I'm so awed by that night sky and the impressed by the knowledge you and Joey have regarding how to safely enter into these wild spaces. Great video. 🙂
Joey’s a legend!
Lovely place, lovely 3 days. Yellowstone is so special. Thanks for sharing.
🙏❤️🙏
Absolutely stunning video, very worth the wait. Thank you so much for ALL your hard work, and for sharing such a beautiful life you are living, hey Joey, great job Cat. Safe travels, LOVE your work. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Awesome!! We have record-setting forest fires and smoke up here but managed my first two hikes of the season. So good to be out, when possible. Great to see you and Joey hiking again. 👍😎🇨🇦
Nice backpack video! What’s the purpose of the control cabin? Can they be used by the public? Rock & Roll. 😎
