@@burningbum I bet Clarkson got the most of it, also that was to produce, those shows were expensive. JC was the only one to cry in the last show the other two looked like employees.

Mad respect to Richard for funding the shop by himself. But, really hurts to see a man sell his pride and joy.

If I know anything about Richard the vehicles are an enormous emotional investment to him but I would venture to offer that Richard's pride and joy are at home, familying about.
Yes, it's a new word I just made up. You're welcome.

@@993mike Agreed. And I would imagine the deal he's negotiated with Discovery will more than recover his investment, whatever happens. This will be very minimal risk for him.

Look at it this way, by selling these vehicles he has raised the funds to do the impossible, increase the number of priceless classics in the world.
Because those ones aren't gone, but he'll soon be cranking out a new priceless classic on the regular. And those will probably mean even more to him when he sells them.

I really hope the shop turns into something bigger than you expected success wise. I look forward to seeing more.

As a lifelong entrepreneur and fellow car nut, I can only say a heartfelt "Congratulations Richard!!" on your new venture. I don't know you (even though you've been in my home well over 100 times over the past decade or two) but I do know what it is like to build something from blood, sweat, and literal tears!
Congrats and I hope that those drinks were as strong as your convictions man!!
