I didn’t cry, but this is probably one of my top five favorite military homecoming videos, if not my favorite one! Thank You to everyone who has ever served, and I don’t care what branch you were in, or if you were a first responder! When you serve, your loved ones serve with you because they wonder if you’re going to make it home safely.
I’ll add one more thing, and it comes from personal experience. If you have a loved one who is about to be deployed, and you get it in your mind to send them a nasty email, go ahead and write the email, BUT make sure that YOU are the recipient of the email, and not the other person. I say that because years ago, I sent such an email to my brother, and though he came home safely, I had done more harm than I will ever know. Scripture says that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and to say that I spoke death, would be an understatement. I’m ashamed of what I did, and I hope that this comment will serve to keep at least one person from making the same mistake that I made.
