Rest in peace, Marine. Thank you for your service. What your platoon brothers did for your son is amazing.
Semper Fi ! Once a marine, I was a marine. When one falls he he goes to regroup with his brothers. His brothers that are still here regroup with his son. Got a love it!
I'm a Marine 76-81. Not surprising to me😊
@@ojc2612 Semper Fi brother.
THIS right here, this is brotherhood. It didn't matter that they possibly hadn't seen each other in 15-20 years, those men were his brothers, and now their are his son's brothers. Semper Fi Marines o7
I make a point to see at least one of my boys every year in person (have exceeded that goal every time). Phones have made it easy for my generation; I always think about how tough that must have been for the Marines who came before. I can't imagine going through WW1, WW2, or Vietnam with someone then losing contact as life takes its turns.
I haven't seen my fellow Platoon members (1074) in over 47 years. But if I were to bump into one of them tomorrow, I'd be buying him a beer (or Bourbon--as befits our current age), and start sharing memories with him. That would be after the both of us dropped un-ashamed tears, and hugged each other for at least 20 minutes.
@@markl2322 As it should be.
Marines are Marines. No question.
Military personnel and their families are a special breed. God bless them all.
Your dad was there. He lives on in you and your brother. Do him proud!
May you find comfort.
Pops called on his Platoon from Heaven and they responded...GOD Bless your Family, The Corps and our United States of America.
OOHRAH!
Semper Fi. Once a Marine always a Marine. Always and forever, a true band of brothers! Oorah.
This touched me..... So sorry for your loss. And what an honorable thing your brother did, finishing his training for your Dad.

Welcome to the Corps. Marines have this thing about our fellow Marines and you saw proof of that at your graduation at MCRD San Diego. Semper Fi brother, platoon 155, A Company, 1st Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, on the yellow footprints, 29 June 1964. 4 months and 6 days to my 60th anniversary.
So sad for your loss. You made your dad very proud. I'm a vet, and you keep kickin' ass marine.
This ... the coming together .... WONDERFUL!
Rest in heaven Devil. This was heartbreaking and at the same time heartwarming. I wish nothing but happiness, blessings and prosperity to this young Marine that has taken up the call to defend and protect us. My condolences to the family of this Marine. Gone but not forgotten

That’s what Semper Fidelis really means!!
USMC Alumni.. Class of 1995
That was an amazing show of support! My dad was an Army Huey pilot who was KIA in Vietnam when I was 6 years old and I joined the Air Force at 17 years old. I wish my dad could have been at my graduations from school and basic training.
Reinforces the motto of Semper Fidelis.
F'n A! Semper Fi! I love being a Marine.
SEMPER FI to your dad, brother and family. Today, March 8 is my Birthday and in 2 days will be the on year anniversary of my dad passing away. I can say that my graduation from Marine Corps bootcamp was my proudest moment and my dad’s proudest moment of me. My heart aches for your loss
YOUR DAD & HIS FRIENDS CELEBRATED WITH YOU..HE WAS THERE YOU JUST DIDN'T SEE HIM..I'M SURE VERY PROUD..
We take care of our own

Fair winds and following seas to dad.

Why do people love Marines?
Because we take care of our own.

When she said "my dad couldn't be there, but this was the next best thing.." brought me to tears
As my family prepares for losing our last Vietnam Vet, I want to say thank you. Thank you to his biker-Veteran friends who have stood by him, supported him and continue to support us. Thank you to all Veterans, service members and first responders. Thank you to my fierce, tougher than nails cousin, Johnny. As you protected and served us all, we will now protect and support your beautiful wife, your son, and your grandchildren. We will follow all of your wishes and lay you to rest by our own family tradition.
This beautiful thing that happened proves that so many wonderful people in the world 🌎
We just don’t hear enough about them 🤗❤️
Brothers in Arms .. Forever .
RIP Brother. God bless 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Prayers for you and your family! I am so sorry for your loss! Thank you for your service for your dad, your brother and to all of the men and women in the military!
GOD gave us a back 🦴 to carry weight, not to turn it on each other.
Glad to know they came when it was needed most without having been called.
Those were real Marines.
GOD bless the Marines.
Say what you will, the stories of how unbreakable that Marine bond is are astounding.
Thank you for your brother and especially your dad’s service. May he RIP. From a Navy Mom. Salute.
That's beautiful! R.I.P
God bless them for doing that.
Beautiful and yet heart breaking. Irrespective of the country or unit or service, brothers-in-arms are brothers for life…. Only those that have taken the oath will know and truly understand this… it is this notion that sets us apart from the rest of society. May your father find eternal peace, he like your brother makes your country, Corp and family proud… As we say in the UK, stand down marine (soldier), your stag is over, see you at the FRV. From a UK Vet…
Dam , this made me cry. Semper Fi Mac, Semper Fi!
Very touching vid…you are one great sister to have. What a great group of men that literally “showed up!”…when the call went out. Many thanks to the Dad (may he rest in peace) & now the son willing to serve our glorious nation!
My husband did his stint in the Marines starting in his late teens. He was 58 when he, also, died of pancreatic cancer and I made sure the Eagle, Globe & Anchor was engraved on his headstone. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi.
Hard to believe I graduated from those yellow footprints just 4 years after his dad did in 1998. 25 years ago. Seems like yesterday. God Bless you all and your family.
love these stories...keep these coming ...Semper fi
My father's father died while my dad was in USMC boot camp in 1943. When my dad passed away in the 90s, guys who served in the Marines with my dad in the Pacific came to his viewing and funeral to share with me what an amazing guy my dad was, what a great buddy, a great Marine who risked his life for his brothers in the Corps though he was only 18 at the time. It meant so much to me. Once a Marine, always a Marine. I know my dad was smiling down and that it meant a lot to him, too. Semper Fi dad. ❤
I thank you and your dad for his service loosing such a wonderful dad is extremely hard i also was truly blessed to have a wonderful caring loving dad time will help you because as time passes you find a way to carry on with life without those who we have loved beyond measure I can’t say it’s easy but God will help you each and every day god bless you all and i pray 🙏 that he will keep your brother safe while he’s away from his family x

It's what brothers do! SF young Marine!
Amazing! Thank you for your service!❤
So thankful for his platoon mates stepping up. R.I.P. DEVIL DOG and to his son, stay strong Marine.
Thank you!
awesome story.....
Im crying! But happy❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful
Semper Fi Marines❤
Wonderful experience for this young newly bred Marine. I would say most of the Marines that served in combat during the Vietnam war went their separate ways they’re not so engaging and embracing of each other. For me this is sad. Let me add the Marines who served in Vietnam created a lot of glorious Marine Corps history. In modern history these Marines, are long forgotten.
Semper Fi. Class of 1978. Rip
Semper Fidelis!
Beautiful ❤
Ever wonder what "Semper Fidelis" means? That's what it means, right there. Semper Fi, Jacob.
Wow, what a GREAT VIDEO! John P.
Army, NG and Reserve, I’m hard as nails and that breaks me up. Having friends, you can love. Not the same as the guys when your OX is in the ditch, and you all gotta get it out. That special.
😢❤🙏 God Bless.
De Oppresso Liber, your old man is proud no doubt.
God bless. Oorah!!
Pro's & Con's shall reflect. Great job, Marines! 💪🏼❤️🇺🇸
#semperfi
As a former USMC officer i can sayy with absolute certainty...."once a Marine, always a Marine"....i used to tell troops that at some point they'd look back and realize what being a Marine really means. At 72 I'd do it all over again if i could! SEMPER FI, Sorry for the loss of your Dad....but....he's now on guard duty at heaven's gate!
Who the hell cried in my eyeballs? wasn't my tears.
I graduated from mcrd San Diego November 18 1994 I'm sorry for your loss rest in peace devil dog
If look on heaven's scenes, you will find the streets are guarded by your dad and fellow Marines.
It just doesn't surprise me. There isn't anything on this planet or off planet that a Marine will not do for a fellow Marine. Once a Marine...always a Marine. Semper Fi Jake. Welcome to the best damn gun club in the world. Your father is so pround of you. You keep on keeping on.
Oorah brothers. Semper fi and congratulations.
The same happened to me. My father was an army veteran who was in Vietnam. My mom came to see me graduate, but my dad wasn't there. I found out my dad was having health complications and was too sick to make it. He never got to see me graduate. It wasn't until I got to my m.o.s. training that my mom sent me a letter stating that my dad was on his way out, so I had to take emergency leave to see him before he went. I was left with the decision to send him off or let him go. It was the worst decision I had to make.
Semper Fi 🇺🇸
From a Marine Mama
great day
Semper Fi!! 🇺🇲
AMEN
SEMPER FI
MARINES!!!!!!!!!!!
Semper Fi right there
Semper Fi!
If I could do it all over again I would join the Marines. I was in the US Army SOF. But what i love about the marines is they have a brotherhood that is not MOS related.
In fact, in the US Army, when a soldier was a cook, you knew it. But for some reason I've never met a Marine that did not give the vibe of "I'm 100% Warrior". I'm 100% confident I wouldn't be able to pick out a Marine Cook.
SEMPER FI
🇺🇸
I joined the Navy out of high school. I always regretted not joining the Marine Corps instead. I was conned into thinking I would get a better education that would translate to a better job when I left. The first lie that the military told me🤷♂️
Semper Fi
Thank you all
America
So sad
