I wish the speakers in addition to listing achievements should also give contribution to GDP in percentage each of this .
One strategy to be a developed country by 1947,that is to achieve per capita income of $12500,is to select some states and concentrate on measures to be taken on all factors of production namely land labor capital entrepreneurship etc and generate a spirit of competition among them. They should achieve say developed status in five years.Then select other states in coming years.These states should get say 10 percentage additional share of revenue prescribed by Finance commission.Further it is good idea to create many smaller states

36:26 Hit the nail on the head. Learning outcomes and health outcomes. What is the use of mass education without quality? Throwing more money at the problem is not going to solve anything. It is a lazy ineffective solution. Implementation at state level is the key. Because health and education is more in control of states and they are closer to public to implement and monitor effectively. Furthermore, decentralize even at state level to city/village governments. They are currently toothless and heavily state Govt dependent. Power should be closer to people. Easier to monitor and easier for public to demand accountability.
I am wondering, how Shaker Ji allowed Amitab kanth ji to get away from not answering last question on census !!!
What Mr. Kant said was he's a big believer in data at real time basis. Just change the word 'data' with 'census' and 'real time' with ' to do as soon as possible'.
He's one of the most important piece of the government (not politically bdw) from last decades, so it's unexpectable to think that he'll criticize the government directly. Hence, he just gave a cryptic message with his sharp mind.

This has been unfortunately a useless discussion where other giving out gyaan nobody talked about what is being planned in terms of policy changes to achieve the dream. Even on census Amitabh Kant failed to shout about why the census is not being conducted, is it because he is working on getting a real time version of census or whether he would throw Amit shah out of power working on making real time census.
I only found Shekhar Gupta worth listening to because he talked about the real challenges of middle class. The others said the same thing that they have been saying for the last 10 years.
Every middle size and big companies must incorporate in annual report % of employees earning in cash or kind above the per capita income for a developed country and how much will be their target for @2047
The casual way he said we need electronics manufacturing as if its a genius idea in 2024 . Motherfucker we should have started implementing these policies in early 2000s .

During the Manmohan Singh Decade, our GDP increased by 2.83 times, while Modani could only double it. Similarly, Manmohan Singh increased our GDP per capita by 2.5 times, while Modani managed only 1.8 times. I wonder why these ignorant panellists do not base their observations on facts. Or do they consider us fools?
During the last decade, the world and its brother followed a policy of China Plus One, but still, very few investments came to India. Net FII inflows during the UPA era increased from 0.7 % of GDP to 1.7 %; unfortunately, Modi brought them down to 1.45 %.
