Hi, could you try using TinyScanner or other app? Ussualy I scan books with my cellphone and later usde adobe acrobat for OCR, because keeps the format of the page
Thanks for the review and it was quite helpful. I was considering either the Chinese version of Tab 10 or the International Tab Ultra. It looks like the Tab 10 doesn't have a camera. Are there any other differences between the two versions you are aware of? Also, with the latest V3.3.2 firmware the Tab 10 OCR daily quota was raised to 300 times. Was it the same on Tab Ultra?
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to be writing a meeting note for example and take a quick shot to be embedded on that note? This would be my main usage for it.
Yes it could do the job but with a twist. Tab ultra has a camera but no default camera app. I need to download a third party camera app, take the photo, and then insert it into the note (using the default note app). The onyx Note app does not support taking photos, so you must take photo first and then insert photo. Third party note apps might allow taking photos within the app.
@@EReaderChannel thank you for the help. For that it is easier just to use my phone. It is the difference on speed from that NA2/NA2+ that big when compared to the Ultra that if I do not use the camera, it would justify the price difference? Because it is also heavier and has a bump that does not allow the tablet to sit flat without a case
Thanks for your review. Could you test the image quality and the field of view( of a room or a house)? Is is possible to insert the picture in note app and drawing on a separate layer? I would used this workaround to taking measurements on the building site... Thanks
I wish it worked like my samsung phone where it is able to put a box around the paper and remove the warping of the page to make it look more like it was actually scanned. Doesn't seem like a very "smart scanner" lol, Love my tab ultra otherwise.
@@EReaderChannel that's good to know. There should be no limit because I can do this more effectively and at greater scale with the Evernote app on my phone. They need to remove this limit!

what app do you usually use for that? I can try.
@@EReaderChannel until now, Apple notes because I would just do it in my iPhone or iPad.

I will do more testing of the camera. The task you described is probably easier on phones or iPads
why onlly 10 times a day ?

Did you solve the problem of scanning the doc to PDF? I have the same issue with my Tab Ultra too.
No not really. Probably better to use phones for scanning.
What do you mean you can recognize 10 pages per day?
Onyx limits the total number of pages you can use OCR to process.

What happens when you use all 10? You need to pay to unlock more? Or just wait till tomorrow?
