Hope you enjoyed the first look at the 4SBB! She should be hitting stores at the end of the month so talk to your local ukulele/music store about a preorder, the 4SB tenor sells out fast. Big love to you all, and thanks again to Flight to making my life a crazy dream. Xx
I just happened upon the 4SB tenor a few days ago in a local music store on vacation.. since I was actually looking for a baritone I sadly put the tenor down, its such a nice instrument! but I lightened up when the salesman told me there is a 4sb baritone coming out! now I am watching all the comparisons i can get to decide between the Aurora, the 4sb or the fireball 🙈 i played the fireball baritone in the store, its just beautiful! i am just not sure if i can justify over 600€ for a uke😅 edit: ok just watched to the end.. Thats it I need a 4SBB! thank you for the on point comparison, i am glad you went for no pick up for the retail version, plus I really love the tonewood choice. like you said the 4sbb comes across warmer and with more depth compared to the aurora. want!❤
@2802Bene now that’s a good thing to get up to on vacation 😂 tbh all three are ukuleles that I love very much, you’d be happy with any of the three, but the black has my heart 🖤
I really like that Flight made this in Baritone size. I have the tenor version. I was a little put off that they continued to use a Spruce top as you were elated when you thought the tenor had a Cedar top. I would have liked to see the Baritone in cedar. Would have seemed to me that buyers would then have an option of wood for their interest. Just my opinion. Good to see you Sammy! Be well!
Thank you mate, and I did talk to them about this but Primoz talked to me in good detail why they prefer not to use Cedar on bigger instruments - so I order and agreed as they know best 😅
That strummy demo tune with no name sounds lush, and Fingerstyle Fursday number 9 (the first one i ever learnt) sounds all grown up and moody. Really nice - I know my 4SB would like a big brother one day.
Flight makes beautiful and functional ukuleles. This one in particular. And great sound. I own a Diana w/Soundwave. It certainly is a beauty, but so far, I wish I had bought the acoustic model. 👍🏼4SBB
@@4stringboy I think it is Sam, but of course variety is the spice of life! lol! I’ve spent a lot of money trying out strings and I’ve eventually found my ideal set which is Uke logic soft tension B and E strings and Martin M630 D and G strings, have you ever tried mixtures of different makes of strings and do you stick to the same on all your ukes? it’s a very personal thing but interesting to hear other players point of view 👍 cheers Terry
The sounds between the two ukuleles, to me, are nearly the same. Although the 4SBB is beautiful, I think I like the slightly brighter sound of the Aurora a little better. I would buy that Aurora today, but I’m assuming that I could add more warmth when plugged-in.
Sammy, you have created a really beautiful BLACK BEAUTY and the review is really uniquely good, like your last ones actually always, I have now listened to the differences exactly but even with headphones I can hardly notice any difference. I always think I can hear a difference, but I'm not entirely sure about that, we probably have to experience it live. I ❤ ROSEWOOD. LOVE to you Sammy #4stringboyfans
I have a Flight Fireball Tenor with a wound Low G. Do you think it would sound too similar to the 4SBB? I like what you said about playing a high G tenor than getting your low fix via your baritone. You have me thinking 🤔 ? I am just starting to shop for a baritone but maybe my low G tenor would be a lot of the same.
A baritone is the next level and I don’t think a low G sounds anything like a baritone, because of the bigger body it really is a different sound - if you can get your hands or try a baritone, you’d be able to tell straight away whether it’s enough of a difference for you (for me - a very big one)
@@4stringboy- Thank you for the quick response. One last clarification. I have a low G tenor and if I got a baritone, I would string it as GCEA vs the standard baritone tuning. In your opinion, do you think that would make it sound more like my low G tenor? Or even with GCEA, the bigger body would still sound different?
I think a baritone in DGBE is better than GCEA, and that the bigger body would still make a difference but not as much in that tuning, also as long as you’re aware you need special strings to use GCEA tuning on a baritone you’d be fine 😇
I'm so jealous. I want one, STAT! I can hear a difference between the Aurora and 4SBB in this video, but I'm not sure if I have a preference between the two. That would be something I'd love to try in-person.
Comparison with aurora There isn’t much in it but the 4sb is subtle but and more mellow . Can you bring the 4sbaritone to southern ukulele day in October?
In person there’s a real difference, but I thought it might be hard to show with my setup 😬 I’d love to but only have allowance for one and that’ll be my tenor 🥲

LOVE the 4SBB, everything 💙 ! I need one 🥹😭😍. Your harmonics are already perfect, they are even more magical on this baritone ✨
Thanks Delphine, I love her too!

Cheers Kie! It has a big ol' moody sound to her :)

I have the exact same uke! I think the Diana is very underrated
BIG LOVE for this BIG BEAUTY!!! 🖤✨ I need one in my life stat! 🫶🏻 I adore everything about the 4SBB ... you killed it!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you Ali, this one felt like cheating as the work my end was very little 😅
It sounds so good
Want the eq-a version of this!
That’s absolutely bloody gorgeous Sam! if I didn’t have the Aurora and Fireball already I’d buy one!
Thanks Terry, sounds like you got a perfect baritone combo over there!

Oooh 4SBB, nice family addition. Congrats.
Thank you Mike 😊
4SBB sounds very chocolatey! I also heard the same differences between the Aurora vs. 4SBB.
the 4SBari is a big beauty 🥲😍
She is somehow even more beautiful 🖤
I want one!

My word, that is one sexy baritone. I knew I’d regret watching this video 😭😭😭

Fingers crossed 🤞
Great review and Awesome looking and sounding Baritone Ukulelel!
