Bought one of these recently and still learning the chords. Lovely sound. Can sound like a guitar a bit. Stock wound strings buzzed badly, but probably just old. Changed them for the Daddario Nyltech strings which are more balanced in feel. Those are some thick nylon 1st and 2d strings. Lovely sound. May try the Uke Logic next.
Thank you, she is one of my most played ukes. The stands are from a Danish company called 'Openhagen' who make guitar and uke accessories - I'm a big fan of the stands!
Just re-watched this vid having bought a Flight Carabao Baritone and noticed the stand ? mounted on the butt of your Aurora. Is that something you made or a commercially available item ? I actually have a set of low octave GCEA strings on it but will likely change to DGBE when I've had some fun with the 'Mariachi' sound. For those of who can't afford a bunch of Hawaiian big K Ukes the Flight models these days are a very affordable alternative, I think.
They’re made by the same Danish company who make my thumb pick (Openhagen). Here’s the link, I have one attached to every uke 😂 openhagen.com/en-dk/products/attachable-ukulele-stand-black If you use the code 4STRINGBOY you’ll get some discount too.
Guess Im looking at my next uke purchase (Flight Aurora Baritone) and its a beauty. I have the Baritone Mango Fireball and its all I play now. Im going to try these uke strings and thanks for that string description, brand, size, dimensions and tension. No one ever gives those details so once again thank you. I'll know exactly what to order. FOR RIGHT NOW HOWEVER: I really like the strings that came on my Flight Mango Fireball baritone except no one seems to know for sure exactly which EXACT strings came on the Flight Mango Fireball. Do you? Once again, thank you for that great review! It's great reviews like these that make the difference. If Flight ever builds a Pineapple Mango Fireball Baritone Eq, I wouldn't give purchasing it a second thought.
I’ve had an Aurora for a while and I like it a lot. I’ve recently found out that Flight also makes a baritone model named Maia. Feature wise it seems to be somewhere between an Aurora and a Fireball, but with steel strings. I’d love to hear your opinion on it if you’ll ever get the chance to try one. Thanks! 😊
Hello mate, the fingerpicking tune is from my book ‘Low Fursday’, the strumming tune is just something I use for every review, it hasn’t been written down anywhere yet 😅
In fact, you have a terrific voice for commercial announcing. Nice and deep with a good tone. The Aurora seems like a lovely uke. But wait, does Flight really have a Disney Princess line of ukes?
Ah bless you! It’s a ‘Princess’ series which includes the Diana and Sophia (real life princesses) but Leia is in there too, I just had never heard of Princess Aurora!
The Aurora has a richer sound to me - more rounded and full; the side by side comparison makes the Iris sound thin. Is that because of the rosewood or the strings… or both?
I massively agree - I think the quality of wood and production on the Aurora is much higher, and so you can hear it. The strings can help, but even a regular stringed Aurora is warmer sounding.

Beautiful baritone, in looks and sound. And a fan of the Uke Logic strings. I want that Fireball baritone. 😇
Yes, that rosewood looks great!
Oh it does doesn’t it 😍

It still takes me a second (or more) to remember what the chord name is on baritone 🫠 glad you’re having fun with it!
Amazing video. Amazing sounding instrument. 😍
What are those integrated stands you're using on some of your ukuleles?

8:53 I talk all about them, it’s a Ukelogic set 😊
@4stringboy yes sorry. I messaged you halfway through your video. Thanks for your reply. 👍

Yes! I’m 99% sure they are a set of D’addario EJ53B 👌
Now I want a baritone uke! Is there a 4SB baritone model? Or plans for one? I love the 4SB tenor but I absolutely cannot justify another tenor
Not yet 😬
Love mine!
I remember your review, I got very excited watching it 😅

I don’t think they’ve technically announced it yet 😅 but yes, I’ll be getting my hands on one to review 😇
What’s the set up on your thumb. I’ve never seen that before.

I designed it 😇
Hi, in which book can I find the songs you play in the strumming test and fingerpicking test?

@@4stringboyThanks, I just bought it! Is it possible to have the chords of the strumming part?
@@rootmag1 it’s just a G and C, I’m writing out the tab this week for Patreon as they’ve requested it too many times 😅
And thanks for the purchase, appreciate it!

Question: What is that device you are using on your thumb?
openhagen.com/en-dk/products/electric-guitar-pickgrip 👌 something I designed but you can finally buy it ☺️
What are you wearing on your thumb?
It’s my own custom thumbpick, I’ll be releasing it very soon
How much
I was just listening to "There There".
how the hell you get those harmonics....mine sounds as like your hitting a dead rat with a soggy pickle, lifeless and sour
