Something I was just thinking about. The way Captain Luthor was trying to appeal to Sam. The thing about Sam Lane, he's the type of character who can very well go villain. I'm wondering if he will ultimately become a villain later as the series progresses. I can at least see something like the government having a program to deal with Superman or they could adapt Superman Unchained into a future season plot.
I think with the brothers they have powers but once they are in close proximity one can siphon powers from the other. Interesting enough when Jon Kent was playing football the second time, he was playing better maybe borrowing power from Jordan. They are fraternal twins. Their physiology is half human and half kryptonian. Kal-El can absorbed the yellow sun energy due to him being full kryptonian.
Todd Helbing was able to make Lois the reporter just like in the comics , but he failed to make Iris West Allen the ace reporter when he was the showrunner for The Flash.
Angus MacFayden who played Robert The Bruce in Mel Gibson's 1995 Braveheart film is Jor-El in Superman & Lois.
React to the new batman clip from zack Snyder's Justice league
HoloGramps is eternally what I’m calling Jor-El from here on out no matter which version 😂
That’s what they called George Takai in Supah Ninjas
@@Orocaiamric I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that lol
😂 nice one
He'll always be Slow-A*s Motherf***ing Jeff to me
I love, LOVE, how they nailed the relationship between Jonathan and Jordan. Brothers fight, a lot, but they always manage to make up within a few hours. So many other shows do it so much worse, but this is * chef's kiss *
I think that Clark should have taken both of them to learn about their history and heritage, I don't think it's fair that one gets to learn about that and the other doesn't just because he doesn't have powers
Totally agree!
I agree. Almost seems like a lazy way to create conflict between the brothers...but then they immediately squashed it.
Particularly when both times Jordan exhibited powers, Jonathon was in the immediate vicinity and was in danger- Symbiotic or adrenaline rush is the trigger right now
I think they need to establish that when the twins are apart their powers do not work.
what you said, Frank...
So far Jordan's powers have only manifested when Jonathan is in danger, the rest of the time they aren't evident at all.
Yeah, I think his powers are definitely tied to his emotions. I wonder if the proximity of his twin brother, or even the medication he takes impact his powers some how?
super twin powers ACTIVATE!
I just hope that they won't make both of them Superboy while one turns to good side and the other to the darkseid YKWIM😂😏
Project 7734 (Hell Upside down) in Superman Rebirth comics is General Lane and Lex Luthor putting together a team of supervillains to fight Kryptonians. This happened after Superman defeated Braniac and unbottled Kryptonian city of Kandor. All the kryptonians from Kandor settled on earth so Lane got paranoid and initiated Project 7734. Metallo, Parasite, Reactor were some of the members.
Melissa Benoist 💖
If gen. lane and Capt luthor actually team up then shit is definitely going done.
Thank you for clarifying
Love that comic ruin
Run*
People of Metropolis are probably like “Huge alien ship in the air about to crash into a building? Meh, Superman will handle it”
It’s just like Californians with earthquakes, they get used to it
This is a different evil Superman from the crossover. They’re just reusing the suit
Gotchya! Thanks :)
Yeah. The other one was the main badguy giving himself superman powers. Cause if you could you would.
Theory: Jordan and Jonathan need to be together or in range to activate their powers. Which could be varied between them.
Ex.1 In the introduction montage for the pilot we see a young Jonathan on the farm throw a football across to the tied wheel and break the rope with one shot. His brother is close behind on the steps drawing.
Ex.2 In the same episode Jonathan mentions him being the first ever to make it as a freshman QB in metropolis high school football. In ep. 2, jon is shown to be confused, slow and not as strong with his strength or aim when jordan is gone with clark.
Ex. 3 Jonathan when protecting jordan at the bonfire is shown to be stronger than the captain when he's shown to still be less bulit and tall. He's overpowered and beatdown. Jordan is too but shown to be healed while jon still has bruises.
Ex.4 jordan is also the one to go over jon and save them from the pipes.
Conclusion: jordan has durability and laser eyes. Jonathan has super strength and speed but probably slight durability due to surviving the pipes too. Remember, the boys are faternal twins. If I've miss anything, please tell me in the replies.
That's a very well put together theory! I hope it's true because they are twins and I want both to have powers.
@@gotahgemini6415 thanks, and me too! Especially since we technically do have a live action Jon S. Kent in the show
Oh that is good! Never thought of that. I hope that is true. He should have took both to see the history.
I didn't come up with that theory but deem it both original and likely: both sons have abilities but only when they're in close proximity to one another.
What just came to me: Jor-El might be corrupted/infected by Brainiac, which could be saved as a season 2 tease since the show's already been renewed.
Yeah they are twins so it makes sense that the power passed down to them was split between them. I think when they are apart it is just residual power, that's why Jordan didn't register very powerful because he was on the other side of the world from Johnathon. But when they were close like at the party his laser vision looked way more than 100th of the power of Superman's.
could be doing a version of red and blue superman. when superman in the comics got split in two i think they each had some of his powers but not all of them , maybe there doing a spin on that but there powers maybe only work when there together as they are both half kryptonian and so together they have whole kryptonian dna i dont know, really like the show though.
Current theory : jordan has only used his powers when hes in proximity/touching jonathon could be something there with them being twins and everything could be completely wrong we’ll see next episode i guess
I agree. And if true, you know there will be an episode where they will say, "Wonder Twin powers, ACTIVATE!"
i think it's more like he has only used it when protecting jonathan. His invulnerability activated to save jon from pipes, and his heat vision came up when jonathan was getting beat up. I don't think thay have to be near eachother, but it's importnant.
@@zackerywarme9034 well Jonathan was bad at football the first day he’s apart from Jordan
That actually is true. Jonathan is supposed to be a pro at football and he went to school without Jordan for the first time and he has some issues
@@grapeleiva2266 that could be true but at the same time that could simply be down to the fact he wasnt operating at 100% that day with everything that happened with the playbook and the bullies and moving away from his home etc
Jonathan’s gonna get his powers too, im sure of it, sad we wont see the damien jonathan duo tho
I love that comic
Batman hasn’t even been explored yet thanks to batwoman
I wonder how they would introduce Damien? 🤔
@@freshnoodles2108 Batman is not a main character in the Arrowverse because WB won’t let CW
who's damien i haven't read the comics sorry!
My theory is Luthor and his men are the resistance against evil Superman’s rule and that they were fighting his soldiers in that scene
I didn't think it would happen but it does seem like they are going with a Alexander Luthor route from Earth-3 in the comics.
Well they just might be on the opposite side. Two sides. Luthor may not be too good.
@@CarlosHuiskens well that would be ultra man...and the crime syndicate, so I don't think it will go down that route.
@@zackerywarme9034 Based on the changes in Crisis its possible they could. I didn't think they would either but Luthor seemingly being a good person on his world makes me think otherwise.
I know it’s easy to make fun of how down Jordan is but he’s one of my favorite parts because you can tell he’s trying BUT he’s got emotional issues and feels different from everyone. It’s relatable.
Anyone else notice that Jonathan can't hit the tire with the football while Jordan is away at the Fortress? His athletic skills appear to be tied to his proximity to his brother.
... and Jordan only manifests powers when Johnathan is in danger. They may be a gestalt!
I love seeing the fiery Lois, Jonathan is definitely a compassionate brother, and I’m loving Superman.
my theory is that the twins have to be together for either of their powers to work. the only time we’ve seen jordan do anything with his powers was with jonathan there.
7734 is a project created by Gen. Lane to safeguard the Earth against extraterrestrial and/or supernatural threats, a lot like Tony Stark's idea of a "shield of armor around the planet".
Really excited for your reactions on this series
They really used the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice score during the military raid sequence with Superman-Captain Luthor battle. Also the whole knightmare sequence with Superman killing the resistance army is a page out of BVS's Knightmare sequence but putting a different spin to it with the resistance not being Supermen Legion like they were in Bruce Wayne's Knightmare scene of BVS.
Also did you notice how when cap luthor fights with goons for kryptonite they actually look like soldiers of Batman from nightmare scene where they were all attacked by Superman soldiers and parademons
I think the boys gotta be together to activate powers that why Jonathan wasn't playing good during football practice cuz Jordan wasn't at school
Right now the only one to explain the Crisis/post-crisis events would be Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor. At some point we need to see the Luthors meet up and Prime Luthor has to give a history lesson to Captain Luthor. When it comes to the normal day to day issues we get to see that fleshed out nicely and seeing Lois Lane creating a new chapter in her career is a nice change of scenery for her.
A part of me definitely wants both Luthors to meet up but another part of me doubts it will happen.
I don't want Jon's lex on the show.
He's good Lex but he fits better for supergirl imo.
@@vishall8246
I agree. IF he shows up, I'd want it to be a five minute meeting concluding with Jon's Luthor going after Supergirl while Captain Luthor goes after Superman.
@@CarlosHuiskens I just want to see Supergirl crossover one time with Superman and Lois before her series finale.
@@DavidNicholson101 I'm pretty sure most people would be Covid-19 restrictions are going to make it near impossible to do so. They already cancelled the Batwoman/Superman crossover because of it.
"DAMMMITT." Jordan Kent.
Soooo we just gonna skip past the fact that Lois ate a WHOLE slab of ribs by herself??!?
I think they were baby back ribs (not that that helps)
Dang it John, because of last reaction, every time I see Luthor in his suit, all I can see is Tom from Toonami!😂
Lol this was my goal all-along!!!!! 😈
Holy shoot that ending was amazing love this show so far can’t wait for the next episode and your reaction too by the way their is a new photos of space jam a new legacy is out and they look amazing just wonder are you going do a video on it 🤔
I’m happy you guys are covering this show
I’m loving it so far!
Best Superman we’ve gotten since Man Of Steel!!
Same both are awesome
Totally un-needed Remainder: New batman teaser dropped on zack snyder's twitter! Its fucking awesome
Haa bro. Bohot sahi hai.
@@siddharth_0771 :)
I'm definitely thinking Jonathan will get powers like Jordan. The theory I've seen is that Jonathan and Jordan will have to be in close proximity with one another to use their powers. I think that would make for a super cool dynamic, as when the two are together, they're nigh unstoppable. But if a villian separates them, it'll be no different than having two regular teenagers as hostages.
Project 7734 is Sam Lane's brainchild in the comics. On Luthor's Earth, Sam Lane gets a team together to deal with the Kryptonian threat, which in the comics is bigger than just Superman. It's backward on Luthor's Earth, Earth 3 in the comics, I don't know how they're gonna play it on the show tho.
Appreciate the context either way!! :)
This guy General Lane likes Clark more than his own daughter 😂
General lane does seem thirsty for Clark
@@theretrosavage LMAO
I think he just sees Clark as more of a tool than a person, and probably hates the fact his daughter married him.
This was a really fun reaction to watch! Love the content guys, keep it up!
You guys are hilarious! I am loving Superman & Lois so far and your reaction videos to it. The series composer is Dan Romer and he is (deservedly so) getting a LOT of praise for the music. He does have a Twitter account.
"you're good at tv" haha..you 2 are funny af, could def see myself being friends with both of you, id like to think we are :)
You guys are awesome. Love watching you guys react and talk about all things superheroes
Love your sense of humor...your commentary is awesome
The comedy from you guys in this video 😂. I love you guys so much!
Superman: Just need the wrench...
Me: Do you though? Do you really?
That Jonathan scene was the scene to create favourites indeed! 😅
I was talking to a few of the cast about your hesitation to even watch the first episode but since the trailer and what you guys heard about the show you kinda gave it a chance. They were pretty happy with what you guys and the fans said about the show so far so keep it up boys. The cast is so down to earth and fun. Trust me reject nation. Your support definitely is appreciated. Keep it up. The actors, and crew deserve the recognition. Alot of hard work go into the making of this show for the fans
Reel Rejects: it's so amazing how they focus on Clark and Lois, and the Superman stuff is so rewarding.
Me: I know right, it's like it's never been done before... oh wait, it has. It's called "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman".
7734 upside down spells hell.
10:59 it looks like red sun radiation which can explain why kal el is falling from the sky
Cant wait for the WandaVision reaction!!
Omg u liked my comment !!🔥😯😁
It is literally the same suit from the elseworlds crossover! This episode confirms that pretty much Supermans entire timeline has been altered due to crisis, and that Captain luthor is from an earth that was wiped in crisis (though judging by that flashback.. crisis was a mercy killing for that earth lol)
Also it's worth noting that multiple villains across all the shows have been recast/revived etc since crisis so that explains the new Morgan Edge
Started watching your reaction, and went straight to watch the series... You hooked me up guys. Thx.
The Crisis Superman fight was between Tyler Hoechlin’s and Brandon Routh’s Superman. Brandon Routh was being controlled by Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor with some supernatural book. That caused the fight until Brandon Routh’s Superman regained control. That version was also supposed to a rough version of the Kingdom Come Superman
I love the theory that Jordan needs Johnathan to use his powers, and eventually Johnathan will develop them as well.
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates⭕️
Project Hell was the anti-Superman task force General Lane led when he went full villain in the comics.
Very cool seeing Jor-El. Clark wasn't telling the boys to behave he was talking to Lois haha. Ohman evil Superman. Captain Luther might try to recruit Sam Lane. Having 13 episodes and this budget is best.
I love how Jonathan gives me smallville John Kent vibes, its like he really is his grandfather's grandson.
everybody needs a brother like jonathan. jonathan's and jordan have a very nice and cute relashinship
apparently the composer is someone by the name of Dan Romer the guy who made the music for Far Cry 5 game and The Good Doctor tv series and quite a few other things including documentaries and it shows because sometimes documentaries have cinematic music like this to give a feeling of awe (I mean imagine if "planet earth" documentary series with attenborough had hans zimmer tracks in the background it would still work cause the scale and effect they're are trying to carry across are pardon the pun but *out of this world* and it's the same feeling for a larger than life hero like supes)
which is why i think it has a hans zimmer feel to it is cause the quality is good because Dan Romer is an experienced producer too and this shows his experience... it feels similar but again different to the man of steel track!
I think they are going in a wondertwins territory where their powers don't work if they are apart.
It's why Jordan flags as mostly human when he's at the fortress, and why Johnathan suddenly is bad at football when Jordan isn't close by.
I'm pretty sure the twins both have powers, but they only actually activate when they're in proximity. Why else split them up in this episode, and make a big thing of Jordan suddenly not appearing to have any powers? Agree that the actor playing Jonathan is really excellent, and I loved that moment when he said he'd support his brother. You do buy it. They're really activating the 'warm family feels' in this show and it's great.
To paraphrase Robin Hood: Men In Tights, "and unlike other Supermen, I speak with an American accent".
I was already looking forward to the video😊😊
What if Jordan is the one that becomes more scared of his powers and accidentally hurts someone and lex attacks him
Went from this back to s7 of The Flash... was like going from filet mignon to a hotpocket...
It was so weird watching Flash after this awesome show... Feels so, low budget
@@ADGZone absolutely!
While I have no way of proving it, in the comic 7734, refers to Project 7734 which is a secret operation headed by General Lane to protect earth from extraterrestrial threats. Since General Lane is an antagonist in the comics, part of the project was set up to defend against Superman who he doesn’t trust due to his xenophobia. Personally I think that’s where they are going with his character as many people outside of the Superman fandom don’t know who General Lane is or that he is suppose to be an enemy of Lois and Clark’s, I think they wanted to start him off as hospitable towards them then move him toward antagonistic.
General Lane be spamming Clark’s phone for Superman stuff
Why would Jor-El be happy about the legacy being carried on and then just shut it down
The 7734 was a project in the comic that was made by Lois' dad to safeguard the planet against extraterrestrial threats
I love baby Grugo in the background 😍
I haven't watched a CW show since Smallville. S & L has had an amazing start, and I can't wait to see where the rest of the season goes.
I didn't come up with this idea but the boys might have to be close together for their powers to be active. They might be sharing the powers when close to each other. Jordan did snap a rope in half when he threw the football at the tire swing when he was younger.
Is it me? Or is John’s mustache lookin amazing rn?
Would love for a Homelander and Superman crossover where Supes lays a beat down on him :D
The 7734 is probably just a reference to Project 7734 from the comics which was a secret project by General Lane, funded by Lex, to "protect" Earth from aliens after Brainiac attacked the planet. With this Luthor as well it's possible it's not a Lex at all but Alexander Jr. from Earth 3 who was a big part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comics and also Lex and Lois' son.
29:10 , I think by seen the third episode that the power manifest itself when the two brothers are together or touch one and the other have some abilities. There're twins, so each are mix human-kryton so if they take their hand or just touch his shoulder , that created a full person with krypton ability.
This show is the best adaptation of superman since Christopher Reeves superman well done makers
I know Jordan’s only half kryptonian, but clark was older when he went to fortress of solitude the first time.
The wonder twins activate....lol
That was not superman, in the crossover it was a man named john deegan who used the book of destiny to become superman. In this show, crisis is most likely the reason for captain Luthor's earth got destroyed, and how he ended up on this earth.
I like that Wolé Parks' Lex Luthor has more compassion towards humanity.
I like the show's different take on the Lex Luthor character.
Weeeeeeeelll-
Project 7734 was a team of metas including a god that was put together by Sam Lane against the Kryptonians in the new krypton storyline....
the 7734 was “H E L L” upside down
7734 is a project in the comics that's lead by General Lane designed to protect earth from alien invasion.
This could be the first introduction to H'el. A genetic clone who Jor-el sent into space. From the "New 52" series
Honestly after 3 episodes, Tyler is my fave live action Superman and Clark. Chose to save people instead of fighting, that’s Superman right there.
Did you watch the CW broadcast episode or from the CW app? I understand the app episode had an extra minute or so - a scene where General Lane tells Clark he collected all the kryptonite on Earth and stashed it away somewhere.
There are some times where if a player feels like he has a connection to a quarterback or whatever he might not do as good for you because you're not his starting quarterback the only way the guys going to do good is when he realizes that he wants to make it d one d2 or d3 in college and so from there that's where players are going to play perfect but if they have favorites you'll know...
You can't have a Lois Lane that's not getting kidnapped by inner gang every other week
So let me guess, the sons abilities are going to work like a spin on the Wonder Twins. As long as they are near each other their powers manifest. One at a time. Remember, you heard it here first. Jonathan is going to display powers and Clark will take him to the fortress. Jor-El will either repeat what he said about Jordan to Jonathan or Jordan will be present in the fortress to hear Jor-El say that Jonathan has potential.(To create conflict and character building) Both will try to use their abilities solo, fail, and Clark will have say them. By the of the first season, the boys will learn to use their power collectively and save some important character. The main flaw in my theory is that this will be a slow burn and it will take the whole season to know if it is true or a result of my meds kicking in.
Correct about morgan edge being a different actor in supergirl but that was before crisis so now earth primes morgan edge is different pretty much any inconsistencies can be put on crisis
in new krypton arc in the comics the Project 7734 was created by sam lane to deal with superman and his people
"You don't even think about Superman when he's playing Clark Kent". Duh... That's what Superman is all about!
Good point on how Hoechlin is good as Clark -- that's the key to the character. Chris Reeves made it actually reasonable that glasses could be a disguise because of how good he was as Clark and then totally transformed into Superman when the time called for it. I would never believe that such a bumbling nerd would be a superhero badass.
Loose association, but now I'm remembering when Clark was bullied at the truck stop in Superman II and he managed not to punch everyone into the sun.
The glasses also are made to make sure he has control over his x-ray vision, same as with Kara.
This isn't the extended version!
i’m thinkin 7734 is Lois’ fathers dog tag from the other world, and this is gonna get him thinking about joining Luthor bc he has his dog tag
idk if that made sense but yea
11:44 me when idk something 😂
I am really loving this show so far.
Today Superman & Luis. Tomorrow WandaVision finale 💥💥💥
you gotta love captian luthers "You're evil and I need to stop you" by blowing up a city like wtf
@Jayden Kleiberg Yeah I kinda assumed that but still not a good way to prove youre the good guy lol and I thought red kryptonite but the red solar energy makes way more sense
"Listen Jordan, me and you are the social outcast of society. We're pretty much here to watch everything from the sidelines and choose our own destiny because the thing about people like us is that we're unpredictable which when we have to defend ourselves makes us the most dangerous and intelligent force but eventhough it makes us dangerous and confident you'll have to learn to overcome your emotions because they can lead you down a dark path but at the same time you're ego might push the people you care about away leading to depression and since you have powers it's highly dangerous if you let your emotions get the better of you, never let your ego cloud your judgment and focus on what you truly want while at the same time letting the people you care about help you in dark times. We aren't freaks we're just human." Like I can relate to his feelings but that boy needs help badly.
Mark 30:54. Guys! Quick! Contact, "Blind Wave", and place a bet, as to which set of reactors will be correct! Their hypothesis is that the twins need to be near each other for their powers to work. Yours is that the curly-haired one is being set up to be, "Superboy-Prime"!
So, who will win out? 🤔
Y'all see that batman teaser zack snyder dropped it's so sick
Jordan has powers. But Jonathan is a better battery. He's gonna have stronger powers in proximity to each other. Jonathan may get energy blast type stuff maybe.
Some clarification about Superboy Prime in the comics incase you were confused
Superboy Prime is not an evil son of Superman
the name Superboy was originally what Clark was called, back when he was a superhero in smallville, before he grew up and moved to Metropolis and then called himself Superman
and Superboy Prime, is Clark from an alternate universe who eventually turned into a crazy evil dude
and is called Superboy Prime, instead of Superman Prime, simply because Clark was called Superboy before he was called Superman, and i guess Superboy Prime just never took the name of Superman when he grew up
