Never seen a cutter with as much arm-side horizontal break as Doval. Its gotta be from his release point and arm angle. Nasty!

Almost seems like it runs bc of the way it catches the air sometimes. The slow mo showed how he releases it, so you can see why statcast calls if a cutter. But sometimes it cuts, sometimes it runs, sometimes it has that rise effect. It’s a very unique fastball in a good way!!!!
