Yep, sometimes carbs can be picky, the SU's on my XK120 work well with a cold start carb thermally activated, lights right off even when ice cold.
Thanks for a good comprehensive video!

Those cold start carbs work really well! I'm looking forward to trying it out on my S-type

Great stuff Adam. It's always that last 10% that is the hardest. Glad I have manual chokes. Additional benefit is I can turn the engine over for 4/5 seconds to pump oil, then pull the choke out and she fires right up. Only have to do that on the first start of the day. After that just a little choke (none if warm obviously) and she fires right up. With the 123Tune+ dizzy starts are immediate now. Also, love the Jaguar sign you have sitting by the door!

Yes I do prefere manual chokes all the time. The manual choke set up on the carbed V12s is great!

Great! I just wonder whether the hood prop rod is OEM or not?

You need to film the chokes moving from cold to hot over a few minutes.. I’m sure you’ll get it perfect eventually.

It to left of the glove box. Remove the under panel and the side panel and you'll see it there on the side.

If you're working on LHD cars, it's quite a walk from the carbs to the driver's seat. Would it be practical to make a small starting panel to clip onto the ignition and starter systems,so that you could start and stop the motor without having to move? (I'm full of impractical labour-saving schemes. :-)* )
