Personally I think that Wonpil is in love with Sungjin. Also the lyrics seem to fit Wonpil's unrequited crush on Sungjin rather than Sungjin's on the girl. However I've seen some people saying that Wonpil is just Sungjin's friend.

I love it when you talk about cinematography/symbolism and how that adds meaning to mvs. It's an angle that not a lot of reactors ever really delve into and I appreciate the thoughtfulness. I love that you figured out/paid attention to the story right away. I've noticed a lot of the reactors just going "oh they're all in love with this girl??" when really it's just one or possibly two. The rest of the interactions are just a web of kdrama tbh 😂

I really LOVE producer reacts! It's refreshing to see someone actually talking about cinematography, symbols and stories that are shown in the music video, i find that a lot more interesting compared to other (more superficial) reactions (no offense tho!) also you have a really nice, calming voice. I do agree with PD that Wonpil is a bit of a mysterious character in the video due to the shots that were taken when he and Sungjin were in the Library with the Girl. I love how you talk about Music Video from a cinematography point of view because one of the main reason as to why I like M/V's, in general, is because of the story it tells through the cinematic direction. And when you talk about the music videos, It helps me come up with ideas for future projects.Thanks PD, plus you should does this more often. I really like them.

There is really something vaguely Arctic Monkeys-esque (AM era specifically0 about the verses before it becomes idk Sweet Caroline in the chorus!!! I do appreciate the brass session and the heavy keys for this single. You but like you, I was heavily invested in this odd love hexagon more than the music at first. Also, I like how heavy it is compared to their other releases this year. Like I need more of that dirty guitar sound opening!!!

Video wise: I do think the video is a bit more compelling than the music at first listen! and I just like that it spurred a lot of discussion in the comment thread of the videos. Everyone has their interpretation and I think that's a sign of a good music video. Plus why is everyone such good actors??
Music wise: I liked the beginning a lot!! *Petition for Day6 to go full on grunge/90s rock* I'm no musician, but I assume the music is complex. They really bounce a lot between styles. I like how you described the chorus! Lackadasical and 50s. Yes! They're really good for that. I think it's more upbeat than hi-hello - I feel like it's interesting to the ear, but not immediately catchy. But Jae's Whoo Whooo part was so good!

This is what I got from the music video, I hope this helps explain everything better that didn't make sense.Wonpil cares deeply for his friend Sungjin but keeps his observations to himself that she likes Young K. He doesn't tell Sungjin because he doesn't want it to potentially ruin there friendship. He is pained watching his friend in an unrequited love, that Sunjin has hope will blossom.
Young K is agro with the girl because Jae has become close with her and feels as if its unfair that Jae is so close with her because he has been in love with her longer and believes he missed his chance to get close with her.
In Young K's eyes Jae and the girl seem more like a close couple instead of friends.
In her eyes Jae is either a pawn to use to make Young K jealous to see if has a romantic interest in her (supported by her approaching Jae first and befriending him, acting close and couple like together) or to get advice and confide in her feelings for Young K to him or both.
What the last glances in the music video tell
The girl is staring affectionately at Young K. He is oblivious to this although Sungjin notices this and is shattered realising his unrequited love. And lastly Wonpil knows that Sungjin has realised the unrequited, because he is fixated on her line of vision, Young K.Sorry it's too long, I hope it helped :)
