- ok so first things first: YES the MV's audio pitch has been altered. Has it been purposefully altered by me? no. For the past month or so, I have noticed the Mvs I download from YT, once imported and in the editing section of IMovie, change pitch. I googled it and it looks like it hasn't happened to anyone else. Soo i'm kind of in the middle of learning how to deal with it...i'd rather find a way around and keep using IMovie (since i'm so familiar with it) or I may switch to Final Cut Pro (I was planning on switching eventually).
Oh oh! on top of that, I believe my new camera shoots at a different frame rate than the MVs(???), because my reactions happen at all the wrong times when I sync it up with the MV and have to do all sorts of weird editing things to get it back synced up (hence why the MV isnt in perfect sync w/ my reaction video if you see the reflections of it in the mirror). (or maybe it's IMovie doing all this crazy shit and I really do need to move on to a new editing program hahahah)
ok ok enough of the technology ranting GOOOD GOOD DAY6 COMEBACK

One of the comments under the MV is most likely the best interpretation of the plot. The girl likes Young K, Sungjin likes the girl, Wonpil likes Sungjin. Jae is the girl's friend. Everyone likes Dowoon, but he likes no one.

There are like two music styles ?? Initially the music is like grunge rock, but when you reach the chorus it sounds like a musical number like from the musical Chicago. Day6 somehow blend them quite well.

I really liked the song, especially the transition after the 'ooh' falsetto? but from 1:39 to 1:41 , I just feel some thing has to change or like I wished that part sounded differently ? I just feel that part is an abrupt note? ( I don't know the proper term ) but it suits the music following it but not the music before it ? I feel maybe that whole part could be re-arranged in a better way. Again its just an itch I felt while listening and I don't know the music theory since I am no musician, but I do love good music. And day6 does satisfy that crave.

The story is basically like this:
Sungjin likes the girl but she doesn't know he exists
Wonpil knows the girl doesn't like him. He and Sungjin are friends and he just pities Sungjin and feels bad for him.
Jae and the girl are friends.
YoungK is like the bad boy of the school (yaaas) and the girl likes him.
And baby Dowoon is kind of removed from their drama :))) He's just the cool, quiet and mysterious guy that gets confessed to by everyone but he doesn't have any interest in dating lol

The thing between Wonpil and Sungjin, was literally what I was thinking. Like Wonpil wasn't even looking at the girl but always looked like Sungjin. My feels can't take it. And the song was just so good. But i expect nothing less from Day6.
My theories on what’s happening in the MV’s:
Jae has a crush on the coffee-shop-girl but he’s also really good friends with the girl that Sungjin has a crush on. That girl might have liked Jae, but she is now starting to like Young K. Young K is not interested in girls but has feelings for Dowoon. (Wether those feelings are friendly or romantic is up to you to decide but in my opinion it’s romantic) Dowoon is very popular with the girls but just like Young K he’s not interested in them. Wonpil either likes the same girl as Sungjin, or he likes Sungjin. (Again this could either be friendly or romantic, but here I think it’s friendly) But he lets it be and doesn’t want to tell that he likes either of them because he doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Sungjin. It could also be that he knows that the girl doesn’t like Sungjin and that he just doesn’t like seeing his friend hurt.
I also think that in the beginning scene in the classroom, Young K tells the girls to leave the sleeping Dowoon alone and that’s why they get mad at him and tell him to leave because they like Dowoon.

Also this song is really dope. I don't think I've really heard anything quite like this. Lots of really different timbres, styles and harmonies that you never hear in main stream pop music. Almost prog rock in some ways. "Prog Pop?" That actually has a pretty good ring to it...

Pink Plant I think Day6 had a longer time to experiment with making their own music. Only recently has Got7 been able to write their own music.

However I do like the "heavy analysis" to be mixed with a little of the "lighter subjects". Maybe the pitch altering and frame rate issue are related. Maybe when you edit a video, your editor speeds it up a bit and that messes with the pitch but also how it appears in correlation to your reaction.
