Kirby holds a special place in my ❤️ as my 2nd favorite Nintendo character of all time, and the reason for this is because of the memories I have of playing these games with my little brother. Funny story regarding Kirby's Adventure; my sister got this game when we first got our Wii in elementary school because she liked playing Kirby in Smash Bros. (I got Dr. Mario for similar reasons, not aware that it was a puzzle game). When I first played it, I had never used a Wii Remote horizontally for a game, so I played the first level holding it vertically, not understanding why I had to press down on the D-Pad to move right.

Adventure actually has a glitch that lets you keep UFO for as long as you want (normally you lose it after finishing a stage). If you get the ability in a stage you've already completed, press Start and Select at the same time. Then, exit the stage. He will keep UFO, but will use his normal pink palette and also keep the ability even after getting hit (since it overrides his "Normal" state until you manually discard it). This glitch also works for Hammer, Sword, and Parasol (if you try with other abilities, his attack will be replaced with a useless splash).
I just realized the guy singing in the Nightmare in Dreamland commercial is Dedede's voice from Right back at ya! How wasn't i picking up on this before?
The twist at the end of Kirby's Adventure of Dedede trying to help all along is something I wish the Sonic series would do with Eggman. Maybe Eggman knows about some bigger threat but if he has to level a few cities for the greater good, he totally would.

Until this review, I had NO IDEA that "Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land" was a remake of Kirby's Adventure. But I DID see the game commercial for that game. I love how this duel marathon compliments each other by being complete opposites. In one side you have bright colorful games full of cuteness and a joyful adventure, while on the other hand you have a dark depressing atmosphere with plenty of scares and a serious story where you survive terrifying monsters and uncover the secret conspiracy of a government.
Man, I remember when the Nightmare in Dreamland commercial was on the TV. It was so short, but damn did it get my 11-year-old self so pumped up and wanting to buy the game... Which I never did. Ah, well. Sometimes it's better to want than to actually have it.

"Almost" every single kirby game has something to do with the dark matter species involvement. And there species are together a verry dark tragic villian. Because they where born with only negative emotions, unable to feel happiness, love friendship, and there dark eye ball appearance always scared people away from becoming anny friends with them. That's why they grew Jealous of all things in the universe that could feel it. And try't everything to stop that suffering of there's by trying to end all happiness in the universe, so that everything would become the same as them. In the old Kirby anime, it's revealed that MetaKnight is... another Star Warrior like Kirby, so yeah, they're the same race.
I can't wait until he gets to the post-Sakurai-directed Kirby games where the lore and final bosses gets absurdly dark.

Until this review, I had NO IDEA that "Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land" was a remake of Kirby's Adventure. But I DID see the game commercial for that game. Basically the commercial has a theme song done to the rythm of "Secret Agent Man". You can even look it up here on RUclips. Also shows Kirby himself and other characters in the same artstyle as "Kirby Right Back at Ya".

The 3D classics version is easily one of my favorite looks for 2D sprite-based games.

I love how this duel marathon compliments each other by being complete opposites. In one side you have bright colorful games full of cuteness and a joyful adventure, while on the other hand you have a dark depressing atmosphere with plenty of scares and a serious story where you survive terrifying monsters and uncover the secret conspiracy of a government.
Ironically way back when, I got Kirby's Adventure for Nes on my birthday. MANY years later, and Johhny posts this video, on my birthday!

Man, I remember when the Nightmare in Dreamland commercial was on the TV. It was so short, but damn did it get my 11-year-old self so pumped up and wanting to buy the game... Which I never did. Ah, well. Sometimes it's better to want than to actually have it.

3:35 yes. That villian who deserves to be the main villian for kirby is (spoilers) zero/ the dark matter species.
"Almost" every single kirby game has something to do with the dark matter species involvement. And there species are together a verry dark tragic villian.
Because they where born with only negative emotions, unable to feel happiness, love friendship, and there dark eye ball appearance always scared people away from becoming anny friends with them. That's why they grew Jealous of all things in the universe that could feel it. And try't everything to stop that suffering of there's by trying to end all happiness in the universe, so that everything would become the same as them. They din't asked to be born like that but where forced to live like that and that wasn't fair to them, and that constant reminder of being the only species in the universe to suffer constantly Drove them mad to the point of trying to stop all happiness in the universe.
