I’ve been a tinkerer for over 30 years. But when I wanted to get into 3D printing as a hobby, I picked the P1S. Im too old & tired to tinker. It’s as close to plug & play as you can get. It just works.
ender series is not worth the effort to tinker, all these upgrades are there to fix precision error on mechanic level. And some part like bended z axis is not worth to fix tbh. Better focus on printing self-designed object instead of fixing my printer and test print all the time.
I'm in a similar boat. I've proved to myself that I can tinker and make something work, but that doesn't mean I want to do that forever. I will say that people that haven't tinkered much before, learning to make an ender 3. Work helps you understand how 3D printing really works cuz you have to constantly fix those things. But getting something like the p1p or the X1 carbon, that's hitting the easy button. Then you can focus on creating
Well i got 4 printers (the same Ender 3 as shown, ender 5 Plus and ender 3 v3 ke and the p1s). To be honest the p1s was a real blast but after 5 print the nozzle got clogged so hard i had to replace the whole hotend assemly and this really sucks. The ender 3 V3 KE went really well until its hotend fan broke but now it running just great i might even tend to say as well as the p1s. edit: what i wanted to say is the new ender 3 v3 ke is awesome too especially compared to the old ender 3 and that you can have problems with the bambu aswell.
@@SpectralTechNow compare the strength of the parts, what's the point of printing fast if your prints will break easily, you can speed up the printer but you can't speed up material bonding
I got mine the other day after having the same printer for 9 years, it was so heavily modified i dont even know what it was anymore so ended up calling it the 'Frankenstein of 3D printers', This new P1S, omg how fast and clean does it print, really impressed
@@wyethhayeah it's a recall but you can still use it for the time being, just don't want to have it run when your asleep or not home. This is only until the fix 😊
The A1 is no joke. I went with the P1S but I still really want to get both the A1 and A1 mini eventually. I've heard nothing but great things. The recall imo was unfortunate, but it's clear that Bambu did it out of liability concerns. I would have just kept mine and ensured the bed cable was secure.

I have one Bambu P1s and one FLSun S1, When I need to print complex multi-color models, I fire up my P1S. When I'm printing larger models like helmets, I usually use the S1. I absolutely love them .
I have had a P1S for 9 months now and it has just hit 2500hrs, and it hasnt faultered once. I cant recommend this printer enough, and I am investing in more because its so darn good!
My printer was a disaster never ending problems that Bambu support could never fix. Just one thing after the other so eventually, I just filed a charge back. Got my money back and donated that crappy printer to Goodwill. And I bought a Prusa. Had one problem with it, and they had the part shipped out and fixed in the normal amount of time it would take bamboo labs even reply to a message. It’s a little slower, but the printer quality and accuracy are much better and it’s dead quiet. To each their own, I suppose.
I think many people have had Frankenstein Ender 3 starting out. It was just the nature of the game back then. Mine died trying to convert to 3mm filament. But nowadays, I'm learning to value time over money. This will be a fine choice.
I have a P1S and a Qidi Tech Q1 pro. The P1S is faster but the Q1 pro is better with more difficult filaments (asa and abs) and cheaper. Both have had zero problems!
I’m thinking of getting one of these or the k1c. The difference of price in Brazil is outrageous (k1c=4k around 700 dollars, and p1s=7,5k 1400 dollars).
Hell yeah. I pine for the fast, flawless, no fuss set up and printing that the "influencer" reviews claimed my V3 SE was capable of. The auto leveling full on doesn't work and I max out at 75 mm/s for print quality I'm happy with without mods to the gantry. I've learned a lot but I want printing to be my hobby not fixing and calibrating a printer.
Bambu did some great stuff, frankly it's amazing for the price point, but there's a lot to be desired. Layer adhesion is trash. It still really really sucks at ABS and ASA. And there's still frequent warping issues. Also, while their slicer is pretty good, it's missing a few clutch features and it sucks for both multiple users and multiple printer setups.
Which model are you printing ABS on? I just got a P1S, going to try printing ABS soon. If someone is trying to print ABS on anything but the X1C or P1S they should not expect good results.
@@joeserra9825 if you max out the build plate temp and turn on the aux circulation fan, you can get passable results but if you actually try and use the models for mechanical purposes you'll quickly find out you've got some pretty BS layer adhesion.
I went from the cr 10s pro V2 to the the X1 carbon 😮 I'm still in shock how much easier it is it just does everything no more gauge checks or bed leveling "manually"
I went from a heavily modified Ender 3 and an even more sophisticated Ender 5 and then got a Bambu X1-C and will never go back to anything less. The Bambu printers are the new benchmark all others are judged by.
I wouldn't say substantially but depending on the part and how detailed it is you can notice a difference sometimes, also depends heavily on the printer
Ordered a p1p (p1s with out enclosure and something else i believe) but having to wait till end of august for it😢 but from what ive seen they seem to be good printers for the price considering a prusa was near double the cost (my p1p being £419 on pre order offer, originally cost £679)
same here, started with ender 3v2, got p1s last year. for small PLA parts i still use the 3v2 because i dont like to use brims and the p1s is too fast and rips small (maybe i should say tiny) parts off the bed. all sizes TPU works great on my p1s even in fastest gear. (i dont like brims because i print hundreds of these tiny pieces and dont want to fiddle with each after printing)
I've only been printing since September, my little ender 3 v2 has the auto bed leveller and flexy metal plate, so far its saved us a FORTUNE on wedding decorations to point of its pretty much paid for itself I'm not sure to go down the route of dropping £100 to slap some mods on it or to save uo and upgrade as everyone seems to recommend this printer But i kind of enjoyed the problem solving my ender, there's something really satisfying about having a print fail, make adjustments, it fail again then make another adjustment and bingo, perfect print
@@angieangie21 our theme was Middle Earth so i printed out locations from Lord of the Rings I then decided i would have most of them light up as well, they went down fantastically with the guests and photographer so would recommend it
I have an Anycubic i3 Mega S and am saving money for the P1S. I have to be patient for about 3 more months. But I'm so excited and, above all, looking forward to the AMS. Finally easy color changes without any manual gcode fiddling...
I upgraded from a couple of heavily upgraded Ender 3 V2s to a Bambu Lab P1S with an AMS unit, and even though I'm only able to print at 50% speed until I find a way to lessen the vibrations, this thing is freaking AWESOME!!!
Yea, I have the base ender 3(should of waited and got one of the better ones) unfortunately I have been having a problem with it failing at the same layer every print from it drifting in the x and y axis. Really annoying!
Maybe you could do a 3d printable remix of the Dan Case A4. Not quite anything else like it on the market, and definitely nothing like it in that realm, especially not for free.

No, it can‘t. It‘s a Bambu. They stay at the same level where they were when you bought them. Except some minor firmware updates. It‘s all good, but not my type of printer. But definitely preferable over an Ender. :D

Ok, I have a question. I have a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU & Nitro RX 570. Say if I go and upgrade the GPU to a 6800XT for future proofing, but i create a 20% CPU bottleneck and I dont got money for a better CPU. What can I do to make both components work better together and lessen said bottleneck.

Nope, the acceleration on Bambu is way faster and the machine is not shaking. It use accelerometer and Ender doesn't. So... Check video comparisons and edith your comment.

One of my friends has the X1C, and that thing absolutely rips. It’s so fast it’s insane. Definitely a good choice
A 29 hour print on my Ender 3 took 5 hours on the P1S lmao
I own an X1C with 2 AMS. Came from ender and never looked back. These things are amazing and a breath of fresh air compared to creality

You can get a Ams unit for it and you can print it with 4 different colors

You should get the attachment that you can print multi color prints (around $400) but worth it if you sell prints.

i had the same experience as you and trust me SAVE FOR IT i have had it for a week and it never failed if there wasn't any overly bad issues

I just got A1 for few days, it's nearly perfect compared with my 10 years old CR-10S .
I was really debating the A1, so many good reviews of it. Thats so exciting
I should wait a while because the A1 has trouble with the heatedbed cable.

Just sold my (once again non functional) ender 3 for parts and put that money toward A1. No regrets whatsoever.

No. This is not the perfect 3D printer. This is the cut-down model of the perfect 3D printer.

Nope, the acceleration on Bambu is way faster and the machine is not shaking. It use accelerometer and Ender doesn't. So... Check video comparisons and edith your comment.
