Brother, that is an awesome video! You showed that same technique in the BD Elher book. Awesome, brother! Thank you for showing this. When I saw that in the book I tried to understand but you know my mind, but now I I really understand. Thank you
Liked the video but do have a question. You laid the tape from fat on the left to skinny on the right and took your measurements. When you made your marks you started on the fat end but used the smallest diameter to the biggest. I was thinking it would be the other way around, fat end largest dia. like you laid it out on paper.
Thanks for watching! Great question. The reason we flop the measurements is to account for the taper. We need the longer measurements toward the tip because the blank is smaller and need to allow more space for the same amount of threads that are laid down and cover the larger diameter closer to the butt end. I hope that makes sense.
My question on this? You laid the tape on lined paper ... does it matter how far apart the lines are on the paper ? It seems that it could change the measurements .. thanks for the video ..
Great video. It shows a very simple way to do proper spacing, something I've struggled with for years.
Thank you! That’s what I was trying to achieve. Wrap On! 🤙🏽

Glad you liked it! And I am happy to hear that it now makes sense. 👍🏽👍🏽 Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the video brother, next should be laying out a pattern. It throws me off on pattern size compared to taper offset. Hope to see more videos
Will do!
Thanks for the great video, 👍🏽
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
Great to see you doing videos again. Question: if I wanted to do 4 axis wrap how do I do the layout and measurements
Thank you! It has been a while. I will cover that in another video. I will make sure it will be soon. Haha!
