The thing about Kanye is that he’s mastered the power of leaks, or unreleased material - The College Dropout leaked halfway through 2003, instead of pushing the release date, he used the leak as a self critique. He re-worked several songs and scrapped a few such as Heavy Hitters and Keep the Receipt. He quite literally made the best out of a terrible situation.
In the present day, he does this through listening parties. The three Donda listening party sessions were used to trim up his vocals and instrumentals. Mike Dean even entered the discord groups, to hear what the fans thought throughout the legendary release of Donda.
Although Yandhi was never released, it brought the best out of some of our favorite artists. The album did live on throughout various released singles and is nestled within Jesus is King and Donda. It was very interesting to see the creative process within this era of Kanye. Yandhi showed us how much work really goes into an album and he showed us that he could spend millions on a project and still scrap it.

“… I didn’t finish”
The best unreleased album of all time
my fav is Sky city- that shit took me to heaven
Yes Yandhi Shoulda been released and Cash to Burn is my Favorite song from that Era, it’s perfect yet a shame it’ll never be completed.
Would have been one of my favorite Kanye songs if he released it
agreed the use of the guitar is amazing, I feel like we don’t see enough Kanye song with guitar
love the way you format vids
I still can't get over Chakras tho... It's my favourite song of his because of the way it is blasting with creativity and mixing at first seemingly contradictive elements, like gospel - put in a hard hype track, and the outro section which came out straight off of the freestyle just blows me away
I wish I was released. We are all still hungry for what it would have sounded like. That “what if” moment will forever live with all of us.
Fav top 3 songs:
Alien
Hurricane
New Body
just found your channel and I'm loving it
Now I'm binge watching all
Hope more of these tracks go through a transformation like Hurricane and others. I'm glad there are leaks of it and I can listen to it constantly because there was just too much heat on this album. Some of my favs are Alien, 80 Degrees/Hurricane, and Slave Name/Last Name such good songs
Woke up to finish binging your vids
Working with the stems like I have, it's super awesome to see how a Kanye track is constructed. Yandhi's special, even more so because of the fact that it's entirely up to the community to piece it together. It's honestly super magical
Another great song from the era is Law of attraction. The version I have downloaded has Ant Clemons as well as Dua Lipa and it’s heavenly.
My favorite was always "city in the sky "
Take Kanye off, the songs perfect
@@kartierglory his lines are so optimistic, idk why you would want him off 🤷
@@samsara6317 That whole part just doesn't fit in the flow of the song to me
@@kartierglory understandable, there’s some good edits out there that smooth it all out.
Alien, hurricane, the song with x, and the song with asap are my standouts! Love yandhi. Hopefully we see new body one day, and I think somethings up with alien based on dondasplace (ye insider) recent cryptic alien posts
I just wanted to know what really happened in the making of this album. Wanted to know what went wrong. It had so much potential, I mean, look at the leaked bangers.
This guy
Everytime i wait for a Kendrick review and you go south with another great video 😂
You are doing a "kanye"
Dreams with Mac Miller should've been finished.
And yesterday or today, I don't really know, there was the biggest leak of his career, from music to documentaries, let's see what Kanye will do
City in the sky is that shit
Y'all give Yandhi way too much credit, Yandhi was never good, Ye heard the beat for Hurricane then ran to Twitter to tweet about a non-existent album that would drop in 2 weeks, Yandhi was nothing more than a JIK demo.
Kanye was making the Best music of his Career during the Yandhi Era imo.
The album was called yandhi up until like april of 2019. He made a ton of material for it. Sure it wasn’t finished but there was a lot of great music made during that era.
the demos had more potential than any released JIK song
