I’ve been very much enjoying this line. It helps that I don’t have any original Super Powers so these stand on their own and they’re only $10. My only real complaint is the constant repaints and the lack of villains. Especially Batman villains. We have so many versions of Batman now but no Batman villains.
I really like the Kenner-styled mold...!! The figures that fit in with the old Kenner Styled figures are the 'winners' of this line.!! Yes, ...Hal Jordan-Green Lantern, the Black-suited Batman, Brainiac, ... Sinestro,...Blue Beetle....really like them...!!
Good review...!! You're sure right about the capes... c-clamps ... around the neck. That needs a little work...!! Too much material...!! Yes, ... too bad we don't get the pin-less legs... we should.!! Some of the McFarlane figures do not fit with our kenner figures. They are too big...that's terrible..!! Too bad Hal Jordan-Green Lantern IS a little bit too small.!! Love the 'first appearance' Brainiac... but you're right. Brainiac might be a little small, too.!!
For reference, Martian Manhunter is 6 feet, 7 inches tall. Sinestro? Funnily enough, also 6 feet, 7 inches tall. So Sinestro's scaling is kinda accurate, just a bit taller in toy form with that forehead.
@@AshleyWilbanks A quick google search lead me to a website called Superhero Database, which listed Martian Manhunter and Sinestro's height as 6'7". After doing some research and cross-referencing with official DC trading cards from the 1990s (specifically produced by Impel), I can confirm those listed heights on Superhero Database to be accurate!
@@AshleyWilbanks SuperHero Database - I cross referenced the heights on that website with some official DC trading cards from 1991 and the heights were accurate.
Yes, ... you are right about the size and scale that's wrong with some of these figures. Same with the capes.!! Good assessment... !! Thank you.!! You did not compare the Charlton Heroes... Blue Beetle ... Judo-Master... and The Peacemaker....
As far as height? I thought I did? If I didn’t I apologize. The 3-pack is too tall, but Blue Beetle fits right in perfectly with the old line. BB is shorter than the 3-pack though.
@@AshleyWilbanks: Sinestro was the right size...!! He's tall...!! But you're dealing with two different scales...!! One... McFarlane's size and scale... the other ...The Kenner size and scale...!!
@@danielstjohn3018 I agree he is tall, but not Martian Manhunter tall. I also agree they are two different scales, but I think most collector’s were hoping for same scale between the two lines.
@@AshleyWilbanks; Yes, ... I was one of those who were hoping ALL of the new figures were of the same size and scale as the Original Super Powers Figures.!! Todd seems to be moving in that direction.!! (Thank goodness!!) You suggested Todd 'scale up' all of the other figures to match the 3 pack figures..... I think he should/could just 'scale down' the 3-pack figures ...and others(like Wonder Woman, Superman, Flash, Deathstroke, etc.) ...to make them the same size as the Original, Kenner styled figures.!! (It would be far easier.!!) It's a real shame that Peacemaker & Judo Master aren't in the same size and scale as Blue Beetle...!!! A real shame.!!
It's not about the same height, it's about scale. For instance, Superman is supposedly 6'3, while Batman is 6'2, Martian Manhunter 6'7, Nightwing 5'10, etc...
Why do the characters have to be the same height? People are all different heights and so are comic book characters.
They don't have to be the same height, but keep it similar to canon.

I agree, we do need more villains, but I am liking the upcoming wave’s selection.

They are fantastic. I am hoping that Booster Gold, Metamorpho and Guy Gardner fit in well with the Kenner stuff too.

I only want the darker Batman and Superman.
I am looking for the Batman with the shading on the forehead. Waiting for a proper Superman now.
