There's nothing wrong with working a 9-to-5 if that suits you or if it's the path you feel is best. But it's important to prioritize our emotional and spiritual health as well. I've chosen to explore new ways to use my education in this world, believing that nothing is ever wasted. As they say, "Education is something that no one can take away from you." Life is finite, and when my time comes to an end, I don't want to look back with regrets, wondering who I could have become if I hadn't let fear hold me back from creating a life that is aligned with the true essence of who I am. Thank you so much for your supportive and sincere comments 🥺🙏 It's truly a blessing to be reminded that we're never alone in this life journey.

A job honestly doesn’t gives you the time, space and opportunity to chase your dreams and achieve your goals. From personal experience i can tell you working a serious job is modern day slavery. they pay you a small amount for doing a significant amount of work and promises you promotion. Best advice make investments and take calculated risks that would guarantee your success.
This is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.
The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment
I have worked with a few financial advisors before now but i ultimately settled for 'Annette Christine Conte'. She is SEC regulated and licensed in US. You can easily look her up
I am going to look her up, I have about $81k i want to start with, might be small but it's better than nothing though. Since the 08 crash is playing out again.
I am so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed forever. I'm a single mother living in Vancouver Canada, bought my first house in October and hoping to retire soon if things keep going smoothly for me
What you said about you wanting to be an artist and someone saying “you won’t make a lot of money” also happened to me. I wonder how many of us have buried dreams that need to be reawakened. I can say, the Lord is opening my eyes to one of my dreams and I’m excited about the future. This is the first video of yours I’m watching and it’s refreshing. All the best to you!
@@gwen6217 thank you so much for your comment. I always felt alone in that experience, but it’s refreshing to see that the inner artist of so many others are starting to awaken again too! ✨ I had to understand that what that person told me was only a projection of their limiting beliefs. Making money wasn’t the goal as a child, it was about the act of creating to bring others joy. This world could always use more art 🤍✨It’s good that your dreams are being reawakened. Wishing you all the very best as well!
I'm 15. I get this too. "You need to do something productive" or "you won't make alot of money" shows how much they somt care about us as long as we're in the rat race and were a doctor or something. I have 1 life Ima live my dreams
There was a new story recently where a 60 year old woman died at the bank she worked at. She passed away on the job and no one realized until 4 days later when they found her at her desk. That haunts me. It’s a reminder that your job is not worth sacrificing your time, health and wellbeing, especially for creatives. We have much more to offer than the labor we unfairly exchange to make a rich man richer.
When I was growing up, I wanted to be a chef. I was obsessed with watching cooking shows and I absorbed everything I could through TV (bc YT didn’t exist yet) and I was sure I was going to go to culinary school, host dinner parties, feed the masses, maybe open a restaurant. Literally 8 year old me would rather watch chefs on PBS than cartoons early on Saturday mornings! But someone I loved and trusted basically did not support that idea and pointed me in the direction of college and “doctor/lawyer/etc” bc there are scholarships for people who study science and math but not culinary arts. I ended up getting my undergrad degree in Chemistry which significantly improved my flavor profiles in my cooking, but I hated lab and did not apply for medical school. I was done with that. I became a teacher, because explaining complicated things in a simple manner was another natural talent I had. Then 13 years later, I changed careers to Finance because I got tired of not earning a high income. But even this is irritating. I want to express myself through food, music, writing - the arts - and I have yet to reconcile how earn a living and be an artist. I am almost 40. I will figure this out. The next 40 years of my life will be full of doing things that I love.
@@JustPlayMusic6891 I truly feel your authenticity in this comment and I wish you well as you find your way back to your true self. You are still here so there is still time to reconnect with your inner artist (chef). You expressing yourself through cooking is art. Nothing is ever wasted, so use every skillset that your obtained to direct that energy into doing what brings your joy. I would suggest making a list of every job you have had ver the years and then writing down skills from each job that can support your dreams. Start where you are now with what you have and go for it! 🙏 There is still so much for you to give to this world
Best of luck to you! Please go after the desires of your heart! So you can be fully fulfilled in your next 40 years! Best of luck! Your comment was inspiring to me :)
I don't think working a 9 to 5 is the problem. It's the investment in a 9 to 5, that's the problem. We know corporations see you as a number, yet people put more into the corporation than they do themselves. That will always and forever be a bad deal, but if you use corporations in the right way, you will have no problem getting in and getting out. As a grown man, if I had to go and work at McDonald's for whatever the reason, I'd do it with no question, but there are many people who think they are above this, and I wish those people well.
Working at McDonald's as an adult with the responsibility of supporting a family, and being responsible for a mortgage/rent along with other all other bills, I'm sure the wages at McDonald's wouldn't cover all of those expenses.
@@tonyroan75with all due respect, you missed OP’s point. He basically said you need to treat these corporate “jobs” as a transaction and not a family or a warm place to care for you. Just like in any transaction, capture value (money) with the least amount of work (time + attention + energy + skills) for higher personal yield. This is precisely how investors and businesses think, objectively. To your point, McDonald’s is a horrendous transaction for someone with marketable skills. Aside from owning the franchise, there is virtually no way you could cover your overhead with a family and household expenses.
I don’t know how anyone spends 8 hours a day somewhere without caring. It’s draining. I don’t give my self to my 9-5 they steal pieces of me every time I clock in. There’s hardly any energy left for me at the end of the day.
@ajwillustratorauthor well they say if you hate something, you are giving it more energy than if you loved it. How do you care about something that drains you? Overcome the feelings, and you could be free.
Allowing African children to travel freely within the 54 countries of the continent would open up a world of opportunities for them. The current system satisfy corruption and thier narcissist abuse strategies. They got no ears. Do you know how long they talk about this and take no action?? 🤔
Be careful. This interconnection is part of the pre beast system set up and programming. God Yah says to His.people be set apart from the world. Also, this interconnection makes countries and systems more collapsible. Look at the supply issues in America with food shortages, then gasoline, then power outages and water shut offs coming soon. It also makes trafficking easier. Take the pros with the cons so you can really understand what it is your asking for and why such the push and is there a hidden agenda?
I enjoyed your story. I went through something similar. I did a Ph.D. in Social Work at Columbia University and landed a dream job only to suffer burnout, depression, and multiple layoffs during the pandemic. I retired early at age 38 and moved to Europe.
Very similar story here.. got my undergrad degree and went to work in my field right away. Full scholarships for undergrad, so do debt, but my family was pissed I didn’t go right into grad school…because “who’s gonna hire you with just an undergrad degree”🙄 I hated working in my field so I quit and went back to my first love, golf, was able to travel and make a good living doing what I loved.. then found my dream job coaching in college and absolutely freaking HATED it after 2 years. 3rd year suffered burnout, toxic workplace, depression and a mental break. Said Eff it all, quit, sold all my stuff and never looked back. Just completed one month traveling Europe. Halfway thru a month in Asia and on to the next continent next month. Family is still not happy about it, but I’ve never been happier to be out of the matrix 🙏🏾😭 You gotta live YOUR dreams, not let other peoples dreams control your life.
I can understand this. I wanted to be a writer growing up and my parental units told me the same about being a starving artist. I completely understand. I am an empath as well and it feels really heavy when I’m not authentic and when I’m around people that are inauthentic. It’s extremely draining and exhaustive. We can feel inauthenticity very strongly and anything that contradicts our values feels very wrong for us.

My creative side was braiding hair and doing make up. I remember my mother told me that I shouldn’t do hair because she didn’t make a lot of money doing it and neither will I. When I tell you I still struggle with that until this day. I also loved music and they used to catch me getting pots and pans out of the kitchen and creating beats. My brother who is 8 years older than I am used to tell me that he knew I had a good ear for music bc I could hear things he couldn’t. My children love music, art and science. I homeschool them and let them do what speaks to their soul. I will not change them or make them feel like they have to go to college to feel fulfilled or that there is something wrong with them. Never!! I encourage my babies and love on them each day.

I also hate corporate culture, I have quit and have opened my own small company in my professional field. At 44. I was told I was an artist on a college test. I was disappointed because I didn’t want to be put in a “box” took me years to get my science degree and after all of that… other than God, the only thing comforts my spirit is being artistic and creative. It pours over into dance, my flower gardens, my sewing is amazing, ppl can’t believe my bedding, curtains, pillows and a simple sketch I made and left on a table became a big deal… they won’t to know who did it…. I was at a low point… drawing whilst on a phone call. I admitted I did the sketch and the woman wanted to know the motivation behind it and what made me come up with it… lol. It was of a lady in a pineapple looking outfit and a top hat with a flower in it. The lady posted it on her cubicle wall to this day.

🙏 There is still so much for you to give to this world
Start a RUclips cooking show.

You can also open a food truck as a start. Here in NYC, the trucks are usually better than restaurants. The experience, the people and food.
I am above this, blud.

He’s the reason I started sharing more about my journey and what I learned on this path for the past 6-7 years as well. We are all connected and I didn’t realize that until I started sharing more ✨ I would also recommend searching for “William Donahue” on RUclips as well. He shares a lot of wisdom on the true teachings of Christ that religion has perverted for many years. It only confirms what I’ve felt since childhood.
Wishing you all the best on your new endeavor! In a way, maybe it’s a good thing that we went down the path of landing our “dream job” so we could see that there was something more to be created. We will always have our education and we can create many things from what we know. I don’t think we were created to be miserable 5 days a week building someone’s dream that we are not aligned with. Freedom is always the goal and our work can be aligned with our gifts and talents. To me, that’s true freedom: soul alignment ✨
People may rain on your parade; but the sun will always come out tomorrow. Never give up on your dreams.
Losing hope. As a single mom things are hard on me both of my sons are special needs. Jesus give me strength I’m constantly struggling to provide for them. It’s overwhelming. May God give you eternal strength, you're not alone.

Thank you for posting this. I am a doctor and have been so conflicted about walking away from this career because I have dedicated my life to it since Jr High and it has exhausted me to say the least. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I became a self-taught & employed Cosmetologist before the pandemic and I unfortunately went back to a 9-5 for many different reasons. But this has been in the back of my head. So many voices try to dim my light and you remind me that I have the power to change my life, rather than allowing outside dust cloud my judgment about myself and my life.
“How deep into myself can I go?” YES. This is exactly what it’s about. We learn so much about ourselves and the world around us. What you said about wanting to be an artist and someone saying you can’t make money as an artist happens to a lot of us. It takes a lot of courage to take that leap. I left corporate almost 10 years ago to become an artist and never looked back. I’m so glad you decided to get out of your shell and make videos. Keep going ! I started a podcast last week and I love talking and getting things off my chest just live for you until the clock runs out! How many of us are truly living for others ?
This was absolutely refreshing to hear! As an older woman, I ALWAYS wanted to be in the art community but, like many, was steered towards a traditional career. I am now moving towards doing what I want in the last half of my life. While I wish I would've done it as a young woman, my life is not over and I refuse to have any regrets.
