I used to, however, when I started my new job I was adamant in my interview that work-life balance was highly important for me! So now I work my 40hours per week and nothing more. I back time and take some days off early if I can afford to and it's been great. Plus making a YT channel was a great way to explore creative outlets and hopefully make it a full-time or at least part time thing x
This is me, when editing my videos. I just need to stop overthinking it. :( I love your videos. Your videos are like documentaries that I think so many people will look back and be like OMG, this is how 21st century work life looked like. I love your transparency. Thank you. It helps me. :)
@@ivoribalas don't let fear stop you. If you feel like they aren't paying you your worth, there are other job opportunities out there. Otherwise, congrats on the promotion!
I am no longer ashamed to admit I do the bare minimum at work. Now, I do good work but I do not go above and beyond and I do not work a minute over 9-5. My job is just a means to an end at this point. I used to overwork myself for very little reward so I decided to stop and just take my 9-5 for what it is, as a job so I can pay my bills. I couldn't care less about competition.
At work they love to celebrate those employees who “go above and beyond” yet next week that employee messes up, they are fired effective immediately. I also wonder why it’s important for us to give 2 weeks notice while these companies can fire us immediately. Ridiculous
My uncle gave me a bit of a wake up call while in college by telling me "It's good that you're a hard worker but even an ox can work hard. And when it gets too old to keep working or dies nobody cares. They just replace it with another ox and carry on."
My biggest mistake: taking my jobs too seriously. In the end, it always boiled down to who liked me, not my work productivity, not my intelligence, nor my education. It boils down to who likes you and who doesn't like you. Being likable is the most important factor in being an employee. If you have to constantly be a contortionist to be liked then who are you really, and do you like yourself?
You see it very clear. Who do pleasers please? Beeing good and perform is enough. People only respect and like others better who draw the line. But likebility, integrity, humane reactions, and a bit of humour are very important. I mostly, if i can, only go to stores and places were i like the owners, or sales people, attitude, service. You feel one with them and grant them your money, even if they are a defendable centain percentage more expensive
All of this. This is the biggest thing going at these multi-corps. They have ppl in leadership roles all because whomever they favor most. Then they wonder why their hustlers loose motivation and find another job. It's crazy
My parents own their own business. They sleep in until 8 am and start 10 am. They close at 7PM. They are never stressed. Tired for sure, but never stressed. I don't believe any job should ever cause you stress, if it does, get out
I can't think about many skilled professions that don't require stress. Doctors are among some of the best people in society, and their stress is unmatched. Sometimes meaningful work has stress involved, but man I wanna own my own business so bad.
@@nahiyan4564 Doctors have a higher suicide rate than the general population. 50% of doctors regret choosing medicine as their career. I've learned a job is just a job and if it consumes your life you will be miserable
My husband is a solo-preneur and we have investments that create passive income. My husband puts in maybe 60-80 hours a month and I put in half of that. We live simply and enjoy being with our family, traveling and just the leisure life. We have been living this way for close to a decade now. The only schedule we have is our kids school schedule. Back in the days we both worked for corporate. Trying to climb the corporate latter. But in our 30’s we realized that’s not the life we want to live.
Meanwhile in the UK, your employer gets nervous if you DON'T take your vacation. It's actually a legal requirement here that you take your vacation, and the company gets in trouble if you don't!
I made sure to take my vacation days from my old company right before COVID kicked off in March 2020. Last time I went out of town but well worth it. This was right before a management change happened that screwed things up had to abandon ship and work elsewhere and start a business on the side!
@@leehalloway8787 And a LOT of people have SIX weeks and that isn't including the fact you are allowed to take sick days that don't come out of your vacation time and there are usually 3-6 public holidays you have off every year as well.
I'm a simple employee: Pay me well, don't micromanage and respect my availability. I'm already self motivated and perfectionistic, so thats why I hate "morale boosters" and forced team bonding.
Same here. Tell me what you want, when you want it and just let me be. I am here after a day of micro managing. My boss generally doesn't, but sometimes he just freaks out over everyone when he leaves things for the last minute. Not my fault bro. Keeping checking on where I am every 30 minutes will just make the job goes slower. 😴
My job has this cool benefit. If I do my job really well....I get to do other people's jobs too. Find something you're passionate about and find a way to make a living with it. Work for your dreams, not for somebody's profits.
Same at my job, my coworker is out of the office with covid, because she hates wearing masks and is an idiot, so I was rewarded with having to do her job and mine.
My turning point was getting the news at my 9-5 job that my mother had just passed away. And as I’m processing what has happened and crying in the managers office she came in and asked me “so are you not going to be able to finish your shift today?”.......Haven’t worked a 9-5 since.
Honey, those managers don’t care about you. If it doesn’t benefit them. They could care less. Be self-sufficient, and do for yourself and work for yourself. I believe in entrepreneurship 1 billion percent!😊👍
as someone who’s been laid off from a corporation after working myself into the ground (with no benefits) because i thought it would get me promoted, loyalty to any job in a capitalist structure is useless. view your job as expendable as they view you.
Society is controlled by fear. We wake up everyday for jobs we usually don’t like out of fear of not having enough of money, in turn giving the money value, which is actually worthless. 🙃 -love from a growing youtuber✌🏽
Capitalism is definitely a trap. However, i grew up in a country where a good part of the population was unemployed bc of the economy. Living that lifestyle is carefree but you have no commodities like access to good healthcare or any opportunities to improve your life. We need to find a balance
yup, but it is also human nature to be motivated by fear to some extent... which makes it difficult to change, but we definitely need to divert that fear and not continue using it as fuel for overworking
Everything is actually worthless if you choose to go down the nihilistic road, but the fact we've created a system where we're able to trade our work for a universally accepted mean of exchange (money) is quite an incredible feat. Money has value because we collectively believe it has value, just like everything else.
Yep! They call that “poor interpersonal skills”, which is complete BS. It’s almost like they want you to slip up and say something to one of their minions so that they can use it against you.
Yep. Just getting financially prepared for retirement. I’m in the business of me. A successful business conserves its resources, so we should do the same.
some companies notice that and may want you to do more, I have that issue now. so whack, the boss is a nightmare and a micromanager. disgusting. Either today or tomorrow im getting an offer from some place else, cannot wait to give them the finger.
Same, my manager asked me why she never sees me as often or doesn't hear from me. I tell her "Because I come here to do the job and go home!" That's it, that's all🤷🏾♀️
This has been always my mindset at any kind of job I had worked in. I am here to make money and get through until I can live my life the way I want to. I am not in the company to make new friendships or anything, in the first place. Most of this kind of relationships are artificial anyway, and I learned that the hard way. Nevermind tho, the lesson is learned ~
I put in my two weeks notice for a highly respected company after 7 years of service. Many close to me didn't understand why i would leave my "great pay and benefits" . I worked 10 hour days ,couldn't be present in family celebrations and never felt fulfilled. Life is about growing and experiences ,two things i was putting off for myself because of bills/fear. I took action and started my business 3 years ago and was elated when the "side hustle" that i was working on (everyday after work) gave me the same income as my "9-5". Which brings me here , self employed and HAPPY. I would advise anyone to start your passion while working to give room for mistakes aka lessons....LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT NOW .Thanks for another great video Lynette!
I look at it this way: at my school last year, one of the janitors got killed in a car accident on his birthday at night and by the following morning, there was already someone in his place. I recently saw on the Trevor Noah show where some restaurant owners were complaining about not being able to find workers and people “not wanting to work” then one of those owners turned around and “hired” a robot to flip burgers. Life is too short to be in a job, where if you died today your employer wouldn’t even so much as grieve or acknowledge your faithfulness to the job
wow. I think restaurant / service industry has the most rhetoric around being "replaceable". You can literally pick up the phone and get another co-worker to do your job for you if you can't. What other industries is this true for? While it's a little soul-breaking, it's also kind of refreshing sometimes to know that you, too, can walk away just as easily and find something else with little-to-no guilt around it.
@experience what I’m saying is don’t work a job where your employer sees you as just an employee and not another human being who is trying to navigate life with the circumstances that one has been dealt with. The point I was trying to make is that many employers don’t actually demonstrate that positive relationship between themselves and their workers as much as they claim to
@experience well ofcourse he should replace you. but most employers won't do beyond what is legally required. if they don't need to call family, they won't. and they will forget you the next day.
I can't stand that "get back to work" narrative. If you can't afford to pay appropriate wages then you can't afford to be in business. nobody is falling for the slave wage trap anymore
I notice that employers take advantage of those that are hard workers, if someone acts like they don't care and don't work hard, those people get whatever they want. They know how to play the game.
Just work and stay two steps ahead and act like you don't care too. You have to play the game . It the same as like most people don't even care about you. Care less and feel better it way about playing those games too. You work smarter around them not harder.
We're understaffed at work and we're not given enough time to get everything done. I'm starting to realize that this is the BOSS' problem and not MY problem.
It is the boss problem cuz they the ones who makes the schedules. They be sending ppl home cuz “labor too high” and then get mad when they’re short on staff especially after they send ppl home cuz of so call “labor too high” 🤦🏾♀️
I’m at home recovering from a heart attack due to my perfectionist tendencies. Employers see these personalities and they prey on them. Some people get rewards for these traits but 99% don’t. I won’t be going to back to work at my company. I’m going self employed and I’m changing careers. Watch yourself and take care.
Almost same story here, drank red bulls, ate shitty food and was under lots of stress. Got hit with extreme panic attack that sent me to hospital, panic attack wasn't the end. It triggered severe anxiety. 2 years later still recovering. Horrible.
@@vprice84 I’m going to get into Graphic Design. I’m very creative but I was in the trades for 25 years. The trap is it pays well but I need to reinvent myself,
Despite the nice coworkers I've known while at a job, I have NEVER had a friendship with any of them after either I or they left the company. I just don't think "making friends" is the purpose of your day job.
So true! I tried to stay in touch with some of them, but gave up after realizing that I was always the one initiating contact and sometimes I didn’t even get a reply. These are people I went to lunch with often and even spoke to after work and on weekends. It makes me wonder if they were “keeping their friends close and their enemies closer.” I’m always careful never to discuss management or other coworkers with so-called work friends.
Just took the leap of faith by quitting my job yesterday to focus full time on starting my own business. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of me! It was the scariest moment of my life but I’m happy I did it.
My father passed away recently from ALS, and i got the news at work. I wanted more time off to grieve but that didnt seem to fit their needs. They couldnt give me all the time off i needed. So i quit.. and ive been working as a uber delivery driver and i cant tell you how freeing it is to be my own boss
This is super late but yeah girl same. My last job was in subway restaurant, worked my ass off like a cow. Now i am driving grab & grabfood. Life's never been better. Some days i make good cash some days i make less but i cant imagine going back to work under people
I can't believe they couldn't take a moment to see you as a human being and let you have some time to grieve and adjust to the life change. I am glad you quit.
Fuck them! I am honestly getting tired of this freaking corporations saying that they are your family, but would not give people time off in situations like this or understand that we are not robots, but human beings.
My advice to anyone looking for a job in this time: always remember, these companies ain't loyal! Once you find a job, stack up as much cash as you can in your emergency savings to last for at least 6 months of all your expenses. Pay down as much of your credit card debt as you can. Don't succumb to lifestyle creep. Be frugal. Keep your personal effects out of the office, off your desk, and out of your cubicle. Keep your resume up-to-date. Keep a copy of your office contacts on another device. Be constantly searching for the next, better job. Then you will be ready to either quit or be fired from the current one. When you quit, don't bother with giving them two week's notice. They would never give you that same courtesy so they don't deserve it from you. Finally, don't ever let your job be your sole source of income. The more income streams you have, the better for you so spend at least half of your after-work time working on a side business.
@@idiotrun1997 when you're leaving a company that would have no qualms about firing you on a Wednesday and frogmarching you out the door without a chance to collect your things from the desk, burn that bridge crisp. You will never need to be in their lives ever again. You won't need them as a reference and even if you did, by law they can only confirm the dates you worked there.
@@jalabi99 but how do you know for sure your manager is the type of person who would do that? If I know him real well, that he’s not that kind of person, I want to give him a courtesy
Don’t stress out about a job that’s just paying your bills, have standards and have a job that is low stress and gives you the flexibility to focus on your self because guys there are out there !
@@Jaykaverse My biggest tip is write down the core attributes of what you need from your job, a Financially, environmentally and physically as far what your comfort doing so that you have a clear standard and look for that job, so many people skip the part where they intentionally set a standard for themselves and hold true to it and watch what happens.
I experienced that last year due to so much stress from work. I’ve never thought I could even fantasize about it bc of stress from a job. But I’m good now.
@Kymberly Johnson - Oh no! Don’t do it! You don’t want to go out like that - not over anything, really - but certainly not over a job. Get out of that job immediately. Even if it means maybe having to sign up with a temp agency for a time while you get yourself together. Seek some professional help, because if you’re contemplating suicide over a job, there may be other issues in your life that need to be addressed. Get a life coach to help guide you in the right direction. There are life coaches here on RUclips; you could probably get some excellent tips and pointers from them. Reach out to your friends and family. Most of all, take care of yourself and hang in there. There is something wonderful in store for you.
I know how you feel. You start to feel like you’re on a treadmill, running tired but not getting anywhere. Take a pause and regroup. Reach out for help. There are people who care and can help. Things are never really as bad as they seem. Trust me, I’ve been through a lot!
I noticed this over the last year. I used to work at a call center for a wireless company and I was there for four years. Once we all went to work from home, people who had been there for years ended up quitting (including me). Its almost like once you're away from the office and away from the manipulation, you realize how BS the job was and how horribly you were actually treated. If you can't work away from the office and still love what you do - you're doing the wrong thing.
Me me me RIGHT NOW. I was here as call rep for 3 months. It's not working out for me. Honestly, i always say this to myself. If i do d s job that either makes me yell or be mean to anyone it's not worth it in the long run. Companies are shady and their after your labor. It's time to run and throw in the towel🏃♀️🏃♀️
Every job I’ve ever had, I had to sign a document that says that the company has the right to end my employment whenever it’s in the best interest of the company for any reason. And without notice. I feel the exact same way about the company. It’s just a job.
This notion that if you dedicate your life to being the first to come in and the last to leave, to be seen as a "great employee/ team player", to never voice your opinion when faced with an injust situation, etc, all for a chance to be rewarded through promotion to be able to sit with the 1% of a company is b.s. Mental health is important, and 9-5 jobs should give financial stability while allowing a work life balance (that is literally the point of a 9-5), but for most this isn't the reality. Everytime I've ever leveled up in corporate i ended up working even more to maintain it, because to simply do what i am paid to do is not enough. "I must go above and beyond" and if i don't now my job is at risk...it can be really a messy cycle
PREACH SIS! PREACH! “Everytime ive ever levelled up in corporate I ended up working even more to maintain it, because to simply do what I am paid to do is not enough.” WOW. Man, corporate America got me fucked up 🥴
I’m a teacher and my first few years I would come about hour early (like most of my colleagues) or stay for hours after school trying to prepare. It sucked and idk why I did it for so long. Now I come in 2 min early and leave right on time (bc we were forced to go back in person). The crazy thing is people comment on when I get there bc they want me to go back to being stressed and miserable like them.
your employers will not see your great work ethic or acknowledge it, but when it comes to the nitty gritty and things get hectic on the job they’ll come running to you. Once that’s all said and done you’ll be right back to square one
I have 0 emotional bond with my 9-5 job. I recently cut my hours there cuz I was going insane. I now feel like I have the freedom and free time back in my life to pursue my passions like continuing education on my yoga studies and just me time in general. When I stopped giving my all (time, energy, emotions) to one company I truly began to feel less and less attached to any kind of incentives to stay and the little things they try to tell you to motivate you to do more work and increase productivity. I no longer feel like they own me - and it was the best / healthiest decision for me.
😜!! I appreciate that affirmation. I thoroughly enjoy hearing your perspective on things and always align wit your content. I hope you have a beautiful day 💟🌈🌎☮️
Could not agree more with this. I was putting in so much effort at a marketing job that was temporary and it was so mentally draining and my boss was awful. When I sent in my carefully thought out letter that I was leaving, within 5 minutes all I got was a "thank you for your time." That's how much they care.
Everywhere you go in the corporate world You are expendable and replacable... EASILY in their eyes. Keep your life balanced with fun, work, and family friend's balance. That's a healthy way to live.
Literally the exact same. I worked in a prestigious factory that produced military armour. Very important shit. And I stayed late and worked overtime etc and I KNOW I was good at my job. And all my fellow employees knew I was good at my job. But the boss and workplace was toxic as fuck. And when I told him I was leaving the boss DIDNT EVEN LOOK UP AT ME FROM HIS DESK and just said “okay, thanks for your time.” THAT WAS IT. People were actually appalled that he made no effort to tempt me to stay or even just asked why I was leaving because THEY knew how valuable I was. The worst person I have ever worked for.
I remember turning down a job offer once after foolishly thinking that I had “bonded” with the director. He didn’t even call me to find out why when HR told him. It made me not regret my decision!
At least you received a "Thank You" these days you don't even get that at times; and please don't get me started on ghosting good lord it is a job trying to find a job out here.
Being 55 and laid off from my job of 20 years, years of going to work sick, in pain and having a latch key kid. I regret all those years of dedication because they sure weren't dedicated to me.
people don't understand this. people think, oh these large companies with "lots of jobs" will "move out"...lol not true at all. If those companies move out, 12 more companies would LOVE to take the place of companies like Amazon with all sorts of jobs, and to be fair they'll most likely be BETTER than Amazon because of all the competition that opened up lol. People need to stop praising these large companies for their "innovation" because there's plenty more companies to take their place.
The worst is when they combine huge groups of recently college grads together and moving them out to a new city where they don’t know anyone so they’re even more brainwashed to attach themselves with only their coworkers
This is what happened at my company, within a year, they all went back home. Besides one guy, that said he couldn’t afford to go back to California. The cost of living was to high and he didn’t want to go back to living with roommates. When the pandemic hit, they all had a hard time adjusting to WFH. Your employer doesn’t care whether you are lonely.
When I first started my current job (supermarket) I was running all over the place throwing stock out as fast as possible, panicking , I wasn't getting it done fast enough and getting stressed and I remember my manager at the time taking me to the side and telling me I'm too slow and I need to speed up. I was one of the fastest employees they hired, and I tried really hard up until like a month ago, I remembered what a manager said to me at my previous job "it's just a supermarket, you don't have to work this hard" and it put it in perspective.
This is exactly why I quit working at a grocery store. I would bust my ass and they would still say I was slow. I will not work any retail or food job anymore.
I worked really hard at my supermarket job and loved it. But when the manager started asking me to do things my supervisor was responsible for, I politely reminded them of my pay grade. I had no desire to move up, so taking on other responsibilities was unnecessary.
It’s always a mental game. No matter how hard you work, they will try to make you feel that you are not working hard enough. That way you will work even harder out of fear of being fired.
I also think the interview process that some companies do it’s crazy. Of course you need a level of experience and knowledge so they know you can actually do the job but when they go on about ‘we need someone passionate and dedicated to the role etc etc’ I just think come on I’m here to exchange my time for money so I can live my life and keep a roof over my head. The job will get done regardless
Yes, not only are you interviewed by several people, but they have to thoroughly investigate you too. Criminal Background check, credit check, driving record check, employment history check, references, etc. Some even require a physical exam! But I get to know practically nothing about them. I have to wait until I start working to find out that I’m dealing with sociopaths, psychopaths and narcissists! It’s effin rediculous.
And they asked a stupid question such as how do you keep yourself motivated for repetative tasks. So dumb! Of coz, I need money and I do my best. What else I can offer for a repetative shit. These days interviwers sound like they are interviewing CEOs.
I quit my job in January 2020. I was at my job for 16 years and was getting burnt out. We did team building crap and company picnics. I came home and cried every day. My mental health was deteriorating. I felt so good slapping my keys on my boss’s desk and walking out.
My favorite is "we are like family." No thank you I have a family of my own. That is also a trick they use. So if they pull you away from your family by mandating constant overtime it makes you feel obligated to overwork yourself.
Those who come in early, work hard, don’t engage in office politics/gossip, stay late and don’t complain are often bullied and told to improve their interpersonal skills. Bottom line, if the above describes you, open your OWN business otherwise you will end up frustrated and depressed.
this is what has happened to me. I work hard, am productive, don't complain, but am constantly criticized on my "soft skills" that are subjectively evaluated by a manager who does not like or respect me. I no longer accept an employer's opinion of my personality. I am here to work, not have someone tell me that my personality is unacceptable.
I notice in jobs the less you work the more the employer respects the person. The ones that work hard get nothing, but delegated more work. There was a girl where I used to work. She would stay in the bathroom playing video games on her phone. The managers told me they were watching her. Two months went by no change. Guess who was doing mine and her work? I ended up quitting and they didn't care. They couldn't wait for me to walk out the door. I will never ever ever give my all to a company again.
I agree. I believe some managers view those that are relaxed probably feels as if that individual has nothing to lose and have no problem leaving. On the other hand, the hard working people are taken for granted.
The thought of me being replacable is actually something that weirdly comforts me. I felt like they wouldn’t survive without me (‘they’ being my coworkers). Now I feel like I’m not going to risk my mental health ever again for something like a 9-5. 🙋🏼♀️💁🏼♀️
I always half ass my work, even when I know I can do a better job, I never work at 100%. "I'm still getting paid the same whether I put in more effort or not, I am not doing this for me but for this company" is always a lingering thought in my head whenever I go to work. I can't even make this up. Alot of times Ill just waste a minimum of 2 hours at work, going to the bathroom, walking around, eating lunch, going on instagram..etc.
When I use to work in hotels, I would do this. Its called working the clock. Less stress and I still get paid. I hate overworking. They didnt care about me so I returned that energy by doing the bare minimum.
This is good if you gotta bigger stuff or just passions you would rather do ima start doing this cus it’s too draining working your ass of for a company that doesn’t give a f about you so I rather go work on myself
A CEO shouldnt hire people to work for him but with him. Every person in the company makes the company no matter the position (yes, the janitor as well).
@@tonysiaswain Thats how it should be. Im hiring you to work with me to accomplish specific task/goal that we have in common. A CEO should hire people that are better than him in certain areas, what good it will bring hiring someone and telling him what to do, if I can do something myslef whats the point of hiring someone. I hire people to delegate things that I have no clue (or little knowledge) how to do. A true leader is not someone who says: "Do this, do that", "Go here, go there" is someone who says: "Follow me".
I work retail while going to school. The way managers try to say "but we're so understaffed" or "if you're nervous about not working fast enough that's a good thing" is so messed up. I'm going to work at my pace. My needs are more important than whatever busywork you're having me do.
I am so unhappy with my 9-5. I want to quit, but that fear of not having money holds me back. I've actually launched my own virtual assistant business and now I'm just trying to get clients. I know this will take off soon and I will be able to quit my job. That's what gives me hope and keeps me pushing forward!
You got this I believe in you ! 😉 try watching videos on RUclips that teach you how to market you VA business. Best of luck dear. You can do anything you put your mind too
Ive heard of people being replaced on the same day that they've died. Ive also gotten sick at jobs, only for staff to be mad at me because I didnt show up anyway. I hate these companies! I'll NEVER put a company before myself or health ever again and no one should.
As a nurse, I used to feel this way of trying to be the best. Overdoing it, skipping breaks, picking up shifts to help the unit etc. Not anymore… I am a caring nurse still! I make every person I care for feel centered with my attention and kind heart but I had to prioritize myself! I do my job take my EARNED AND NEEDED BREAKS, clock out and forget I’m a nurse until it’s time to go back. After COVID I dabbled into contract nursing and it’s the best thing I did. The freedom was indescribable.. I went back staff but as internal agency.. I don’t get any benefits but my premium is higher.. as a result I can make my own schedule and I’m only required to commit to two 12-hour shifts a week. When I say the mental break I get on my 5 days off is something money can’t buy is an understatement. I let go of the American dream during COVID when things hit the fan.. I knew the things that mattered most was nothing the American dream stands for.. I am not where I want to be but I foresee it in my near future to be free from what is instilled into us from birth
Yep, I can attest to this as it happened to me. And when I asked them why they just gave me a generic answer, nothing that I could actually improve upon or anything. Well, I work 100% remotely now and could not be happier.
Yes this happened to me. Fired me on the spot because I spent too long recovering from a miscarriage. At the time I was devastated but it was actually the best thing that happened to me. I ended up going back to school to do my masters, work from home now and just bought a house. I wish I had left earlier.
true true TRUE. i see my coworkers giving our company their all and subsequently burning out and 'not feeling like a human'. companies don't deserve that effort or loyalty.
I went above and beyond for a Company for almost 11 yrs. I’ve built entire units/departments from scratch, worked with migraines and have dealt with mentally unstable clients and staff. They wouldn’t give me a raise. After all those years all I had to show for it is a plate for my 10 yr anniversary 😒. So I quit. Gave them to the ✌🏽. Now I work for myself 😊
OMG this. I've spent over 20 years overachieving at my career (like 6-figure job in financial industry). Reality smacked me in the face the other year when I canceled a couple vacations, would come home from work and work some more, and nearly ignored an infection, all because I was too busy trying to do it all. Well, ended up in the hospital facing a painful 2.5 hour emergency surgery because the infection in question was millimeters from spreading to my brain (now wishing I let it kill me, TBH). How was I repaid for this level of commitment? I was effectively demoted (i.e. career ruined), and literally driven to a mental breakdown (as in: i have been out of work on medical leave since MAY; and the thought of going back literally makes me shut down and sob). Lesson learned.
Maintaining boundaries and avoiding emotional connections is so important. Once you are emotionally connected, it is hard to think rationally about work and we become easy prey for exploitation.
I’m in too deep man I think I in love with one of my co workers im 18 rn but I like the workers who work there it’s just management but do you please have any advice on how I can get detached from it and focus on myself?
the great joy of never going to college and being the most disposable person in the company is that I don't care a little bit about anything. The irony is that it made me be the only one not being fired and even getting a promotion when all I wanted was to leave. Job is like dating bad people, the less you care, more they try to make you stay and vice versa.
Lol this is oddly true I had a job wrongly firer me like literally abuse me for months tell me how awful I was. They tried everything just to make me quit. Cut to 18 months later these freaks call and ask me to come back and actually admit to abusing me. Like no thank you wtf 😳
I was working for a company that I kept asking for different hours and they said that they couldn't give me those hours, I applied for a different position within the company, so they heard about it and they offered me the hours that I was asking for lol I couldn't stay because it's the principle.
The “big spinning rock in the middle of space” bit put everything into perspective real quick 😳. Honestly, nothing in the working/corporate world is this serious...
I use to be one. I call them over achievers. When you get older you realize it was never worth it, and you'll never be compensated for the amount of work you put in.
I work at target and some of my coworkers regularly bring themselves to tears over how stressed and panicked they are. It’s ridiculous, it’s TARGET. We’re all getting paid the same amount whether we’re giving ourselves a panic attack or not. I always tell my coworkers, “I’m here to get my money and go home. If something happened to any of us, this company would replace us in 48 hours.”
This is my 3rd Saturday closing while the new people get the weekend off. Safe to say, I’ll be calling out. I’ve been on the verge of quitting anyways , I have a few side hustles that I haven’t been able to give my all to because I’m spending 5 (8hour) days at my retail job. When I’m off all I wanna do is leisure and chill. May we all get free from the 9-5!
For me work from home is big now, I know there are going to be times when the job requires more than 8 hours but. I wouldn’t mind working past 8 hours as long as I’m working from home and can still maintain a good work life balance. WFH has allowed me to get more things done and led to a better quality of life for me. I would hate if I ever have to go back to an office, I kind of find it pointless because if we were able to complete the job during a pandemic from home why can’t we continue that? If I need to talk to someone I can easily call or message them.
This! 100p agree. This is exactly how I felt and then last month my company decided that they would give us the option to WFH or start going to the office. But they encouraged and insisted we come in. I decided to just to give it another shot before I completely commit to WFH. I was over it after the 3rd day. I felt like I was MORE productive when I didn’t have to wake up earlier and prepare for work, get dressed, commute, commute back in heavier traffic. I felt much more exhausted after lunch at the office vs at home. And once I got back home I had much less energy to get personal things done. I was much more happier working at home. I was able to even do small tasks around the house while still being on top of my workload. It’s just overall better. There’s no argument. Saved money on gas. Did I mention I have to pay for parking ?? Not a fan…
I work from home but the job is very stressful and I’m about to quit. It’s a lot of angry customers calling. I did find jobs that’s remote and isn’t over the phone and I got a call back just recently. Hopefully I get the job because my current job is very stressful and they don’t even pay enough.
@@idcbumyb may not have the best advice but I would try searching on sites where you can specifically filter or type “remote xyz job” like on indeed, or Google job search and LinkedIn if you have it.
I literally do two hours work a day then sit and watch RUclips and pretend I’m working. When I look at everyone else this is what they are doing as well
What’s worse is a lot of companies complain and target you when you stop going above and beyond. Even when it’s not in your job description. You can literally just be doing your job and they expect you to do your best to move up. Like why can’t I just do my job without the hopes of being in leadership just to do more work? They’ll say you have no ambition, motivation, drive because you don’t want to over work yourself. It’s so unrealistic to expect people to be productive at all hours of the day.
I quit today because of this very same reason. I do all my parts imcredibly efficiently and well. Its never enough. The people that make more money than me started expecting me to help them do the jobs that they get more money than me for doing. I decided Im done. No company is worth it. Its all about the bottom line and me me me. Garbage country.
These videos are being recommended to me for a reason. I’m working a full time job and I’m only getting paid 31,000. I can only afford to get a studio apartment but fortunately my boyfriend decided to get a house and I’m moving in with him so I can save money. This entire week has been horrible for me and I felt really depressed. I was also really angry, irritated, and stressed as well because of my job. My job also told me they will make us work overtime during the busiest season so I was down because of that. I’m about to quit this job and find another one. I got a call from a job that’s not nearly as stressful as my current job so hopefully I get that job. My dream job is my business and I want to eventually replace my job with my business.
I used to think I was lazy and had to really talk myself into working. I just realized after seeing this video that I am not lazy. I am a procrastinator because the work causes me great stress. I pictured myself having a job as a day laborer. I would be tired, yes, but I wouldn't be stressed. And that's what I'll focus on from now on. I'll manage my stress.
I watched this video and it literally stopped me from breaking my neck to complete the test as fast as possible. I was literally thinking about how to complete a task on my vacation day off- and because of this video decided they will get the test the day I come back. Period. Thanks!
This!!! I absolutely regret working as hard as I did in my 20s and now that I'm in my 30s, I've got so much catching up to do in life. This pandemic took some time away from me (as it did for everyone) but I vow to enjoy life as much as possible now.
My prior employee played major psychological games. To the point where my health plummeted. I quit my job and my immune system improved significantly. Never again will I compromise my well being for an employer. I moved from a fortune 500 company to a family owned and I love it.
Thank you for making this video! In April/May I worked my first 9-5 and by the end of May I quit because I couldn’t take it. I don’t know how people choose to work in an office everyday when other avenues of income exist (unless out of necessity of course for the reasons you stated) The reality of most office jobs is that you don’t need to be there everyday and you’re often asked to do things that aren’t in your job description just because you’re there. Not to mention supervisors who micromanage you or don’t know how to communicate with you properly. I didn’t feel respected or valued as an individual and everyday I felt like just a machine working toward some infinite goal. Thanks for suggesting project based jobs, that really helps to frame what I’m looking for in the meantime✨🥺
This is one of the most relatable videos I have ever watched. My parents own their own business. Work their backs off. They expect me to do the same, claiming 'sacrifices need to be made'. Sad that my own father threatens to remove my name from the business if I don't work to his satisfaction, despite all the hard work I already put. The pay isn't even great. He keeps making promises about better pay and stuff but it feels more like he's using his own children. Makes me wonder, how much do we really need in this life?
I was working in a company where we were told straight to our faces that we are are replaceable, while every single one of us were working our butts of for some small bonuses that were getting smaller and smaller. We were brainwashed to the point we were starting to hate each other. I was a sales person… never again
Omg yes all my life decisions were massively influenced by FEAR and not passion. It’s literally killing me. I vacillate between being suicidal and running away forever. I don’t even know what to do anymore 😵💫
Literally took PTO for today at the last minute to go grab coffee with my friends who are on vacation. I had a mini panic attack yesterday at work and said f this. I’ve had these feelings for a while. This video was on time. Thank u 🙌🏼
placing self-worth in your employment is definitely a major trapping in our society. but I also think that, on the flip side, placing self-worth in your output (read: content creation) is another side of the same coin. as a new creator on youtube, this is definitely something I at least am trying to remain vigilant to. great video!
Lynette is so inspiring. I def feel like this idea of creating loyalty by bringing people into the office is what universities also do. They spend so much money into building fancy architecture and having a really good sports team so that we feel more connected to the campus which makes it harder to question whether we actually are getting value from it.
I agree with most of this but I feel like there’s nothing wrong with building work relationships.. that what actually makes working better BUT you can have the emotional intelligence to still know what’s going on.
I was thinking along the same lines Kaia. Regardless of if you’re corporate or self employed relationships are what helps you move forward. You always need them.
I loved this video so much! My 9-5 was more of a 7-6 and I was completely depleted at the end of the day, and weekends were used to sleep and the dread the week ahead. I quit last week and it was the best decision I've ever made. I do eventually want to create my own business, but in the meantime I will be looking for a more flexible job that provides some security that's not at the expense of my mental health ❤️
A few years ago, I quit my job of 10 years because I was constantly stressed. When I got home I literally slept for 14 hours. I woke up a couple of times to use the bathroom and was so groggy that I fell asleep again. I had no idea I was that freakin tired! My body was in overdrive working 60 hrs a week and commuting 3 hours daily! I had no time for family and friends. I was alive but I wasn’t living. Plus they didn’t even appreciate or value me at work. I felt disrespected on many occasions. I’m so glad I left!
While none of this was "new" information to me, it is still impactful to hear it again from time to time, to kind of "snap out" of the brainwashing. I appreciate this video, thank you for making it.
I'm older now and just put in my retirement notice. Before doing this, my employer had instituted a new employee review process where you get rated between 1 to 5 with 1 being the worst performance. The new process also includes a lot of documented goal setting, conversations with the boss, and feedback. I didn't plan to retire at 57, but I have a lot going on in my life right now and decided that I have enough saved up in my 401k to take a break and see what I want to do next. I'm feeling very happy and am looking forward to what lies ahead.
I needed to hear this. I’m stuck between working at the post office or just a poke restaurant. At the post office id likely work 60hrs a week, great benefits, overtime pay etc. but I wouldn’t have the time or energy to focus on my passions. I’m beginning to lean toward my happiness. Thank you ❤️
As someone who has been working since age 17, found a company while finishing up school, was with them for 10+ yrs then, when defending my team, got singled-out by an extremely insecure "VP" and let go - everything you said hits the mark. If I could go back, I would have detached more & not get so involved. I would be mindful who I gave a helping hand to (not everyone is a friend, some are using you for your connections; its ok to say no) & I would've changed companies sooner upon realizing how it was changing. Solid tips, great content
No offense, but the "side hustle" culture is just as toxic. I made a list of the top 10 companies with the best work culture, then I went on Linkedin and started networking with the employees of each company. I got 4 referrals by the end of the month. I applied to all 4 and got 3 responses for interviews, which led to 2 job offers and I chose the one that paid more. Not only is my mental health better, the job is a blast, and the people I work with all agree that we'll be retiring together bc we hit the jackpot.
@@annanabil73 Can not remember the title of the article but a quote resonated to the masses of job seekers or people ready to quit and it states, " my life is more important than a dead end job". Companies have gotten too greedy and made employees feel that you need them more than they need you. Sorry homie Billy has left the building 😆
@@arguswil - And yet you have 5 jobs? The key word you used was "dead-end" which most side hustles are. If you don't seek out dead-end energy-vampire jobs, then you should have no issues. I found a start-up that has full transparency & accessibility of the higher ups, competitive pay that is 20% to 30% above the national avg, unlimited vacation, $2000 stipend for office gear, $3000 education stipend, no hand-holding or micromanaging, no time clock punching - you just gotta finish your projects & meet your goals, and if you need to call off then you just don't come to work. The point is I put in the effort necessary to look for a good culture fit, while you dismissed ALL jobs as evil & assumed that they're all the same yet you are hypocritically enslaving yourself across 5 of them. Alright, enjoy stretching yourself thin. I think I'll give myself a 4 day weekend this week...if I feel like it. Maybe I'll just take a trip on my company's tab & use their free vacation home in Hawaii while I'm at it. Oh and that 6% match on my 401K is gonna be nice, no seniority requirements to earn it, plus the stock dividends we get will also look nice in my portfolio. That's not to mention all the bonuses we earn annually. Like I said, I hit the jackpot & plan to retire with my company. Not for you? That's OK, not everyone likes working the same way. That just leaves more for the rest of us who do. I just personally don't think everything is as black & white as you perceive it. My 2 pennies, take it or leave it.
When I gave notice in April from my last job, I said that my manager wasn't a good fit for me, that I questioned the companies judgement in keeping them as a manager, and that I valued a work/life balance.
This has always been my mentality - my job is not a part of my identity, I have no job loyalty, when a job no longer serves me I quit and move on to one that does in that moment. My friends and I are at an impasse on the topic, they believe in sticking with a company at all costs to get a "good pension."
YAAAsss. I had been working from home since last March and we just had to go back to the office 3 days a week last week. At the beginning of WFH they made the mistake of sharing with us that we were even more productive at home... but now we have to go back at least three days and i s2g within ONE WEEK I was so much more mentally captured by work. I think about work even when I go home, I'm having WORK DREAMS again. I hate it. But yes, we were getting way too much freedom and maybe even having a mind of our own... can't have that!
i can feel the stress of my friends not only in their jobs also their schools, studies and even dreams, i was also really stressed because of my channel, videos and also studies, we are all like this but thanks for ur videos i relax sometimes and people also say that i give chillinng vibes like you, thanks my inspiration ♥️🌌 btw thanks for checking my channel in the last time hope u liked, love u lynette ♥️♥️
Great video, I just got laid off my 9-5 as an engineer, been there over 6 years doing very well and just randomly they get rid of our entire office. Said it had nothing to do with productivity, the numbers just didn't work out for them... Basically, no matter how safe or comfortable you think you are, you're not. This video speaks volumes. I found myself another 9-5 for the time being, but I am also creating my own wood-working business locally. I want my freedom back.
I definitely understand. I left a job 4 weeks ago made a lot of money and I was top 4 in company..when I gave resignation every SVP called me saying their in shock and I simply said it was never about the money. I am building my business but i always approach my work as I am a business providing a service. It's important to not fall into a mirage.

Do you ever struggle with feeling good enough at your job? I graduated last year ,and have so much anxiety around not being smart enough or fast enough at my job. Really any job I've ever had office or retail. I'm a part-time development assistant for a nonprofit arts org right now, and I'm just not used to office culture or pacing. I never felt this way in school cuz I knew exactly how to tell if I was good, bad, and what that meant for me Looking through so many job postings messed me up because jobs a want all these skills I don't have or know if I have. It's exhausting learning new stuff constantly for jobs. Especially, surrounded by a bunch of middle age people that don't speak my youthful language.
Love this! Thank you for sharing! You’ve described the pacing situation so well, I often feel like I’m falling behind, it’s because we are not designed like machines we are people ❤️🥰
I believe its all about balance. If you go to fast you make everyone else look bad. If you go to slow paced you look bad. You will get the flow. It just takes time and patience 😉
In my twenties I eventually noticed that the higher ups don’t know much more than junior staff. Where their experience helps is they’ve experienced various business scenarios and can use the past to solve whatever the current situation is. Outside of that many are out of touch and struggle with the evolving technology. All that to say don’t be so hard on yourself. Everyone is working on themselves. It’s a lifelong lesson.
Hey lady, don't worry about it. People with a lot of experience don't expect newbies to be 100% right off the bat. Self compassion is important for learning and to avoid burning out!
Back when I was a wage slave, I NEVER gave a job more than 2 yrs of my time, and no more than 40% effort. Why would I? It's not my company. I only applied to jobs to get the free training and new skills, all the while seeking the next one. In my 60% freetime (remember, I only gave a job 40% effort), I worked on MY dream. Then, I reached the point where my natural talent and all the corporate skills I had acquired, I started my own LLC.
I'm quitting a job with no other job at 43 after a decade there. I was an overachiever and have burnt out. One thing I'm learning in this process is that yes, being motivated by fear no longer works. Especially in the age of jobs being more technical. Like all my boss can do is tell me cliches. Has no impact at me. I only cared about a few peers who had technical skills
There was this Japanese woman who was working overtime in her 9-5 job and the stress built up until one evening during the week she died of a heart attack. She was only in her 20s. I decided that if my illness is going to kill me i might as well be on welfare. I don't want my dying concern to be "Who will replace me at my job?"
Wow, she was so young. That company don’t care though. You better believe they replaced her just like that within one week. It’s like she was never there.
I worked hard at many of my 8-hour shift service jobs, but none were as fulfilling as the family-owned gas station. The family treated their employees with respect and provided them any help to do the job, even if the employee was disabled. Everyone doing their best for the customers without compromising the safety of anyone or devaluing anyone’s efforts, which impressed some customers, causing them at times to help out employees by either making sure that the employees had enough to eat or defending the employees from threatening customers. That gas station became a real community within the village.
Anyone else fall into this overworking trap from time to time? 🥴
I'm in my rest period now because of falling into this trap!
I stopped when I realized this 🙃
Nah I escaped and work for myself.

That's an awesome wakeup call

d*mn yo - thank you for sharing this, this hit hard this morning.
This!!
In other words “teacher’s pet”…

US work culture is a bit toxic to say the least, the amount of people I meet who were too afraid to take time off, or go on vacation is insane...
The US, as a whole, is toxic and a cult of greed, power, and control. Get out while you can.
Meanwhile in the UK, your employer gets nervous if you DON'T take your vacation. It's actually a legal requirement here that you take your vacation, and the company gets in trouble if you don't!
In the EU people often have at least 2 weeks out of the year for vacation. It is usually mandatory from the government.

And it makes me so sad. But I'm confident that the more of us wake up to it the less we will give into it
Capitalism is definitely a trap.

I prefer to work with people I actually like.
I’ve said this same thing. My managers aren’t my friends and I can count on one hand how many real friends I’ve made at a job.
Encouraging! 💛 I love this.
Happy for you 😊
I did the same! Thank you for this comment!
What do you do as your side hustle?
@@mystical_cupcake Thank you so much
I look at it this way: at my school last year, one of the janitors got killed in a car accident on his birthday at night and by the following morning, there was already someone in his place.
@@TheHerrMan yeah. i never get that "get back to work" mentality. i have to get creative doing the bare min to keep my job but also not get exploited.
I notice that employers take advantage of those that are hard workers, if someone acts like they don't care and don't work hard, those people get whatever they want. They know how to play the game.
🎯 🎯 🎯 💯
Just work and stay two steps ahead and act like you don't care too. You have to play the game . It the same as like most people don't even care about you. Care less and feel better it way about playing those games too. You work smarter around them not harder.
Exactly. Found this out the hard way.
The squeakiest wheel gets the oil first.
How do you play this game? I’m a hard worker at my job but I’m noticing my employer taking advantage of it
We're understaffed at work and we're not given enough time to get everything done.

Despite the nice coworkers I've known while at a job, I have NEVER had a friendship with any of them after either I or they left the company. I just don't think "making friends" is the purpose of your day job.
I've made just one over 14 years in the work force.

❤❤❤❤
Great advice. Never get yourself in debt and have that emergency fund.
Good advice mostly. Except for the 2 week notice. Wouldn’t you risk burning bridges if you don’t give 2 weeks?
@@idiotrun1997 when you're leaving a company that would have no qualms about firing you on a Wednesday and frogmarching you out the door without a chance to collect your things from the desk, burn that bridge crisp. I’ve even contemplated suicide because of my job. This seriously can’t be life to wake up do the same thing every day for 50 years and die.
Why bother? Youre better off not working and just sleeping in a tent in a forest if worst comes to worst.
I know how you feel. You start to feel like you’re on a treadmill, running tired but not getting anywhere. Take a pause and regroup. Reach out for help. There are people who care and can help. Things are never really as bad as they seem. Trust me, I’ve been through a lot!
@@dreamhousebylilli thank you all! I’m ok, just midsummer blues.
Where are you from? I am from Mozambique myself 🇲🇿
@D Newkirk - I hope you got a better job!
Totally agree it’s really opened my eyes to how bullshit work is. Not saying every job is but most office jobs are
Same call center jobs are hell and sooo bad for your mental state!!!
Every job I’ve ever had, I had to sign a document that says that the company has the right to end my employment whenever it’s in the best interest of the company for any reason. And without notice. I feel the exact same way about the company. It’s just a job.
I agree.
It’s pretty crazy we all still work 9-5 five days a week! Two days off then back to it. Things need to change
Jobs can at least give us a livable wage and free/affordable health care. Especially to maintain our mental health at these jobs.
PREACH SIS! PREACH! “Everytime ive ever levelled up in corporate I ended up working even more to maintain it, because to simply do what I am paid to do is not enough.” WOW. Man, corporate America got me fucked up 🥴
“Above and beyond...” 😐🔫
Yesss so proud of you for making that decision and living for YOU! You deserve all of the peace and joy 💕✨
Everywhere you go in the corporate world
You are expendable and replacable...
EASILY in their eyes. Keep your life balanced with fun, work, and family friend's balance. That's a healthy way to live.
You deserve so much better than that. Go find someone who sees your value 😊
Companies are replaceable as well.
I think the Great Resignation is showing them that as we speak.
people don't understand this. people think, oh these large companies with "lots of jobs" will "move out"...lol not true at all.
😂😂😂😂😂 I love this response
The worst is when they combine huge groups of recently college grads together and moving them out to a new city where they don’t know anyone so they’re even more brainwashed to attach themselves with only their coworkers
THIS THIS THIS!!! Especially hiring young unmarried people without kids who have time to work overtime..ugh.
This was me.
You hit the nail on the head.
@@DearStephanieX lool it's not our fault we dont have kids.lool. we just trying to get that extra bag too.😂😂😂
When I first started my current job (supermarket) I was running all over the place throwing stock out as fast as possible, panicking , I wasn't getting it done fast enough and getting stressed and I remember my manager at the time taking me to the side and telling me I'm too slow and I need to speed up.
THIS!! So true
Girl yesss they want you to devote your whole life too that job then you automatically hired byeee them !! Who tf these companies think they are
I quit my job in January 2020.
Bravo!!!!
Exactly , they call you weird , antisocial ,
this is what has happened to me.
@@rayitoramirezright and I started doing that at my last job before they laid me off and I would just kill time just walking around looking productive

Once you are emotionally connected, it is hard to think rationally about work and we become easy prey for exploitation.

the great joy of never going to college and being the most disposable person in the company is that I don't care a little bit about anything.

We’re all getting paid the same amount whether we’re giving ourselves a panic attack or not. I always tell my coworkers, “I’m here to get my money and go home.
Not a fan…
@@khayymeshell4244 where can I get a work from home job
I work from home but the job is very stressful and I’m about to quit. It’s a lot of angry customers calling. I did find jobs that’s remote and isn’t over the phone and I got a call back just recently. Hopefully I get the job because my current job is very stressful and they don’t even pay enough.
@@TheLeah2344 good luck! I hope you get it too! 🤞🏼
@@idcbumyb may not have the best advice but I would try searching on sites where you can specifically filter or type “remote xyz job” like on indeed, or Google job search and LinkedIn if you have it.
Love watching this while I'm on the clock at my 9-5 LOL.
SAME LMAO
I literally do two hours work a day then sit and watch RUclips and pretend I’m working. When I look at everyone else this is what they are doing as well
Finally, someone being real about how brainwashed we have been and didn't know it. The American work culture is BS.
They treat us like a business so we should treat them like a business...
Thank u 🙌🏼
Same. I feel you with the panic attacks. Toxic managers are to blame
placing self-worth in your employment is definitely a major trapping in our society. but I also think that, on the flip side, placing self-worth in your output (read: content creation) is another side of the same coin. as a new creator on youtube, this is definitely something I at least am trying to remain vigilant to. great video!
Lynette is so inspiring. I def feel like this idea of creating loyalty by bringing people into the office is what universities also do. They spend so much money into building fancy architecture and having a really good sports team so that we feel more connected to the campus which makes it harder to question whether we actually are getting value from it.
And also makes people more likely to donate later... way more important than current students!
So true.. and then they monetize your loyalty through merchandise and other spinoff enterprises 🤔
i never thought about that. interesting.
I NEEDED TO SEE THIS! I WORK TOO HARD AT MY RETAIL JOB AS A SUPERVISOR, BEING TOLD THAT THEY "APPRECIATE" MY HARD WORK BUT REALLY DONT!
Always operate like an Independent Contractor, no matter the circumstances.
Thank you ❤️
Lean towards your happiness while there to eventually pursue your dreams full time ,you got this!
@@girlwiththecurlyfro2552 thank you ❤️
As someone who has been working since age 17, found a company while finishing up school, was with them for 10+ yrs then, when defending my team, got singled-out by an extremely insecure "VP" and let go - everything you said hits the mark.
If I could go back, I would have detached more & not get so involved. I would be mindful who I gave a helping hand to (not everyone is a friend, some are using you for your connections; its ok to say no) & I would've changed companies sooner upon realizing how it was changing. Solid tips, great content
I have 5 jobs. Never again will trust one company to give me everything I need.
I like that.
Yep! Me too
No offense, but the "side hustle" culture is just as toxic.
Money can either set you free or make you a slave!
Be a slave for a while so one day you can finally be free
Yesss just let life flow through you, I love it! So much love❤️

Yepppp this hits so hard for me honestly
