What you said about wanting to be an artist and someone saying you can’t make money as an artist happens to a lot of us. It takes a lot of courage to take that leap. I left corporate almost 10 years ago to become an artist and never looked back. I’m so glad you decided to get out of your shell and make videos. I enjoyed listening to your story and subscribed to watch more ❤

I also hate corporate culture, I have quit and have opened my own small company in my professional field. At 44. Although I work a lot, also on weekends and late evenings, I feel free, and that matters. I can take vacations, work from anywhere (although it's technically not comfortable), or plan my days how I like without asking my boss (and hearing no). I have to work to earn money but on my own term and I love all my clients and they love me (which I couldn't say about my boss).

There's something you said that put into words my feelings, too. As someone who throws myself completely into anything I do and feels everything so deeply, I found working in corporate America harsh on my soul. I was burnt out consistently and while I performed quite well (and love my career path), I knew deep down that I didn't like the form it took in corporate settings. I made the bold and scary decision to return to school to begin a PhD program. I like the change in pace, and I'm just trying to listen to God/my inner voice to guide me on this journey and always surround me with people like me who seek to build others up and not stress one another. I'm new to your channel, but every word you spoke in this video resonated with me. (I'm also 29 heh :)) Cheers!

I’m a lot older than you are, but I resonate with a lot of this. I’m an overachiever as well.

What this shows is that we, as a society, have throngs of unstable and clueless people with useless degrees and titles conducting research… and taking their summations about important things as authoritative. DEI and the pseudo-educated are the current scourge.

I'm a fan of Dr Joe Dispenza & an INFJ too!😉I really resonate with this. Currently at this crossroads with my corporate job as well. As someone who was from a broken family, I always doing my best to be the responsible daughter, sister, good student and now a good and conscientious employee. Lo and behold, I had a terrible burnout and that was a slap in my face. I'm no longer interested with job title and materials but because of my financial commitment towards my family, I'm currently trying to find my ways while keeping my 9-5 job. Hoping to be closer to my goals with slow & authentic living while working on something that I'm passionate about. Anyway, all the best on your journey of exploring the unknown!

My breaking point recently was when my doctor put me back on anti depressants and mood stabilizers just to deal with my office job. I took a leap of faith and got a temp position with my CNA certificate that allows me to work unlimited overtime and I make more money and work the same hours as my office job. I LOVE working with patients and creating the bonds with them. I LOVE their various quirks and personalities. I know I have many opportunities and blessings in store. I’m glad a left. I’m at peace.

I'm listening to the message but I just have to ask where did you find that cute sweater outfit? It looks so cute and comfortable and professional. I've never been able to dress myself very well. Putting together colors and patterns and outfits is the real challenge for me. I like this monochromatic outfit. Unfortunately, many people don't realize until later that this system is a SCAM. The more you work the more they take. The hardest working people make the least amount of money. The corporations just view us all as DISPOSABLE. They chew people up and spit them out an then looks for the NEXT over and over again. People end up with severe health DECLINE hypertension, bald spots, etc. So I tell anyone always have something else on the side and plan your ESCAPE OF DAY1 when accepting any job offer. I dont care how good any job pays still plan your EXIT on DAY 1of the offer. NEVER GET COMFORTABLE. Dont TRUST THESE COMPANIES, they fire people just to get the stock price up for more money for investors even when the company is doing well. Im so happy I figured out the SCAM early started living BENEATH MY MEANS, no personal debt only business debt, sand became self employed . Its ok to live in poor area or government housing for a while, tolerate family or roomates you dont like. Its so important to reject CONSUMERISM AND LIVE BENEATH MEANS.

I resonate with this so much as a former educator turned sahm. I never really felt valued as a teacher & the pay was terrible. I don’t desire to “clock in” again either. I rather be my own boss. *Instant Sub*

I guess this is a thing on social media these days. Listen, everybody gotta start somewhere and provide for yourself. Now, me personally I work a corporate job to FUND what I’m really interested in and other business ventures. Do what I’m told to do WHILE ON THE CLOCK and go home afterwards. I don’t take nothing personal, put my head down do my thing and go home. I think that’s what this generation is starting to understand. Do what you gotta do and go home. People who put their entire soul into a company will see life flash before their eyes. You have to play a political game to ‘climb the ladder’ within a business that YOU DO NOT OWN Some will and some won’t. My advice is to eventually start your own ventures as time goes on
