It is a pure travesty The Three Dog Night is not in the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame! One of the best rock bands of the 1960's & 1970's. They are more deserving than some of the other inductees in The Hall. What is wrong with those people that haven't yet done the right thing?!? Put The Three Dog Night into The Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. Thank you.
Go listen to the originator of this songs' version -- Leo Sayer and listeb to his banjo line -- played by Russ Ballard. Another thing that Sayer does (and yes, he IS the writer of this song -- and that is (I think) called skat.
@@warrenholmes3311 Wow, interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for setting the record straight here. Leo did a great job too. He had the perfect voice for it.
The backup harmony and lead singer voice is pure and simple awesome. Tune out all the other sounds and just listen to the voices with eyes closed. Bet you'll hear what I hear!
thought I share (and TY 3DN), so my husband passed away 5years ago of a sudden heart attack at 62yo. he was an avid collector of amusement rides and he had major "STUFF" tucked all over the place (like shipping containers I didn't even know about). so my daughter gives him a BIG sendoff on his birthday, after his death, with a carnival theme. She paid to have someone do the whole "big top" on the celling, and we used lots of his amusement equipment to decorate. It was stunning. We had at least 80 people. Guess what song we had playing when we open the doors to the party? Yup, this was song was just perfect. It still makes me think of that party and my darling husband.
I still have the LP with the freaking Bandaid over the what ever that is. Plus the 7 Cards with the Band Members. Classic tunes, bought the album when I was stationed in Hawaii. Times have changed. Old school 73 years young.
Alguna tribu de Estados Unidos, soy impreciso, no se Cherokees u otras, criaban perros y en las noches invernales dormían con ellos para mitigar las bajas temperaturas invernales...de ahí el nombre de grupo...
Close but it was a name that originated in Australia 🇦🇺!!! They’d have 3 dogs around them on really cold nights. I’m not sure if it came from the aborigines or the settlers…

Can't believe they're not in the hall of Fame!! What do we need to do to get them in it?
