Watched this twice, my wife was about to call the repair person...took 10 minutes...fixed , so now I am sending $150 to the local food bank honor of this site. Made a 74 year old's day.
One Beer, you are the best! ..... repairman came by, told us $675 to fix it..... I thought I would rather buy a new one, sent him on his way.... checked you out, grabbed a screw driver, unplugged all the connections hooked it all back up and BINGO...... works like a charm!
I watched your video and was thrown off by the fact you just unplugged the board and then just put it back together lol you just saved me from buying a new dryer or control board. I owe you a 12 pack of banquet coors! Thank you so much!
This society needs more people like you. Just like many others here, I found this video and it saved me lot of trouble and $$$. I have exactly the same dryer and same issue. I followed your instruction and it worked. My wife was amazed that I could really fix something. Thank you so much! Cheers!!!
Boom!!! It worked! I watched another video and she recommended giving the relays a few smacks with a screw driver or something similar. I had to do it twice for whatever reason but after the second time it did the trick! Literally took 10 minutes. Many thanks to Mr. One beer job.
Contact surfaces are wearing out and arcing inside relay housing, and are welding together. Banging on housing unsticks them temporarily. Because of the conformal coating, it makes repairing board difficult. Eventually, the relay will overheat enough to melt the solder joints and dryer wont work at all.
Here to vouch for this video!! Thanks 1 Beer Man…. the next one is on me. My Samsung dryer was giving me the 3C error code. Tried to reset with power cord a few times and it didn’t work but this method did.
Same here y’all… did the cord and didn’t work but unplugged the hookups and reinstall and that corrected error. Ran for a few more days and it did it again. Prob going to have to replace the board.
@@bigt0076 well at least you can save on the labor of putting it in. I was quoted at 400 to replace the board. 200 for labor and 200 for the board. Highway robbery.
Same issue. 1.5 year old, out of warranty. Samsung "has not heard of the issue" so we hit up RUclips for user support. (Thanks!) Samsung had us disconnect the vent hose and ensure it was not clogged. Complete B.S. tech support that I recognized as busy work with no relation to why a fan would continue to run... then we are to call for service so they can come charge to replace a factory faulty board at our cost. The issue is the relays are super cheap and a tap on the fan relay is all that really needs to happen. The two large 2 point connectors are for the fan and the heater relay that turns on/off those devices. Tap on the relay modules to fix the issue. Please unplug dryer first. You do not have to disconnect the connectors, just happens to rattle the relays and gets them back working sometimes when you disconnect them. It will continue to happen so might as well have a screwdriver handy.
Thanks for this... I could not find a new board available, and had ordered a new unit. I followed this idea - reseat the connections... how stupid of me not to do this first. It worked very well! Thanks - you just saved me a full grand! $$$$
Still working on newer models. Our dryer is less than 1 yer old and had this issue. Only difference is the PCB board is mounted upside down in the plastic cover. Thanks for the video Joe.
Didn't work at first. Disconnected them all, and tried the tapping the relays. Then I flipped the box over and hit it hard (on the plastic box) behind where those relays are located, and that got them unstuck. Thx for the video.
I had the same problem and started to get annoyed until I saw this. A few cathartic whacks to the plastic housing behind the relays was just the trick.
OH my gosh. You saved me so much money! The first time I tried this it didn't work. There was one "plug" , that same one that even made you pull extra hard to get it detached, that wouldn't budge for me. It wouldn't come off for me yesterday and I was scared I was going to break it so I gave up. But I was able to detach all the other wires. But doing so didn't work. I re-watched your video this morning and noticed you had some trouble pulling it off, too, so I found a glove with some rubber strips that made it easier to grip and gave it another go. I did it! It worked! Detaching that one piece made the difference! You just saved this single mom HUNDREDS of dollars!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
That's awesome to hear. I was raised by a single mom, thank you for your strength! I know how hard it can be when something breaks and you need it fixed ASAP. Congratulations you did it! Cheers 🍻
Thank you!!!! Ran into this issue on Friday, watched your video, and now it’s fixed! Appreciate you! Love the easy to follow instructions and clear video!
You have the same make and model as me. I’ve watched this vid on more than one occasion. This is the best video for fixing this problem. Unfortunately, my relays are stuck on a regular monthly basis now. So having to go back and go thru this process is a bit of a drag, but, it’s really only a 2 minute drag once you know what to do. Thank you!
Best video ever. I was a little disappointed I did not get to finish a beer before finishing. Guess I need to drink faster. It worked perfectly. Thank you.
Thank you! I had try this fix twice. First time I tried, I lightly tapped the two relays. Didn’t work. Second try, I banged the hell out of the relays with my screwdriver and it fixed the issue.
Worked like a charm for me. About 10 minutes. In my model the circuit board is mounted inside the box so facedown to the body of the dryer when closed - but the same process worked. Thanks so much for sharing this.
You rock Dude! I had the same problem with my daughter's dryer. I didn't think I'd find a fix cause that was the weirdest thing I've seen. I did spray contact cleaner on all the contacts cause I figured it can't hurt and it worked like a charm. Now to reward myself with a beer! Cheers to you!

That last connector you were having problems getting out is the motor relay. it was stock closed and when you force the plug out it got freed. you may have the same problem at some time in the future and replace that board.
I also noted on the video that the same connection for me was very stubborn. I also tapped on it with the heavy end of my screwdriver and it released. I think if it happens again, I will remove it again and spray a little CRC contact cleaner on the connection. I was almost ready to order a new Electrolux dryer for almost 1K. I will never buy another Samsung appliance other than a TV. At least now i might be able to sell this piece of junk for $50. I had also just replaced my heating element on it about 6 months ago.
I have a brand new Samsung dryer, 9 months after my purchase it had this issue. Called Samsung and they said it was likely my dryer vent not being cleaned out. Cleaned out the dryer vent, called back but now it's been over 12 months, and even though I reported the problem within the 12 months, they tell me its out of warranty. Thanks! Glad I found your video. Looks like we have almost the same dryer model. My 8-yr old Samsung DV5471AGW just developed the same issue. The root cause seems to be a sticky motor relay (the black box on the left side in the middle of the main PCB Board). Removing its connector and rapping on it several times should free it up, at least for a while. I searched for a replacement main PCB Board (#DC92-00322E), but they don't seem to be available anywhere, not even eBay at the moment. There are similar-looking boards that might work (e.g. DC92-00322F, DC92-00322U and DC92-00322V), but I haven't tried that yet. It would be great if the relay could be easily replaced, but the whole board is encased in epoxy. The relay (SANYOU SFK-112DM) is pretty cheap. If mine keeps having this problem I may just try replacing that relay, but it'll be a challenge due to the epoxy.

My fix on the same dryer is power off, take white cover off, disconnect the 2 big adapters on the right (one is white and one is black). Once those are disconnected, tap with your screw driver or finger about 5 times on each adapter connected to the board that you pulled (tap where you would plug them in on the side). Let it sit for 2-4 minutes and connect everything back up. Good to go.
Thanks for this. I did the same with my LG dryer and it worked. Simply disconnecting and reconnecting the plugs didn't work until I followed the instruction on this post.

You ain't gotta do all that. Just use the "Slamsung Technique"; give it 3 or 4 good whacks with the palm of your hand on the right side of the panel. Good as new and you don't even have to put your beer down! 🍺💯

You ain't gotta do all that. Just use the "Slamsung Technique"; give it 3 or 4 good whacks with the palm of your hand on the right side of the panel. Good as new and you don't even have to put your beer down! 🍺💯
Thanks working perfectly now !
This worked perfectly for my DV56H9000EP/A2. Took 5 minutes. How often does this issue come back?
Some viewers said once and a while, some say it when they use the times dry feature. Mine did it one other time. Glad it worked! Cheers 🍻
Excellent instruction! Worked perfectly! Many thanks!
Thank you for viewing and I'm glad it worked out for you. Cheers 🍻
Ha! It worked. Thanks dude I owe you a beer.
Haha. Glad it worked out! Cheers 🍻
Wow. Great. Have same dryer. Same problem
I already did this before watching your video, it worked for a while but now the dryer is starting to do the same thing again. Our unit is barely 2 years old. So frustrating we will have to do every once in a while to have it running as it should.
I have had to do it again on mine as well. Crappy motherboard. Hey, another reason to drink a 🍺.
Thank you so much!! Saved my $$ Now I can do it myself...if it happens again!
