    Great video rachel thank you. I will just add Anyone considering trying hamelin, but worried about the time commitment. You can just do part of the workout and come back to it the next day. I can't workout passed 45 mins or it backfires on my matobolism and I'm still getting results cutting them down.

    I got the model workout yesterday because of YOU - I'm a long time TAMmer. I plan to continue to TAM but wanted something special and bootcampy for a change in preparation for a vacation - and LOVE HAM and LOVE YOU! I think I will continue both - I see how they complement each other. I watched ALL YOUR CONTENT to try to figure out what to do because both Methods truly are like learning a new language and you just gotta get in there and immerse yourself. I loved the first Model workout and your assessment, descriptions and tips were spot on. SO excited to see where this takes me over the next month and beyond. I also have the T-Tapp brush from more than 20 years ago and am getting that out again and going for it full throttle. Thanks for the awesome content!

      HOW. EXCITING!!!! The Model Workout is WHERE ITS AT and I just completed it for the second time. There are times where I was concerned that I wasn’t getting enough of a workout but no, it is so good! Thank you so much for your kind words. They are so very encouraging ❤️. Thanks Rachel for putting me on to HAM. I’ve been doing it for about 3 weeks and am already seeing results! I took an active rest day and did Tracy’s latest intermediate class. I have been doing Tracy for a year & 1/2 and still have a couple of months of my membership left. Anyway, when I did Tracy this past week, her moves seemed much more random to me and I didn’t feel it was as much of a workout. Interesting to gain new perspective by trying something new. Tracy was good for a while but I hit a plateau and HAM seems to be getting me over that bump.

    Hey there! I am new to Hamelin too and after I finished the 3 week rotation, I looked on his site and saw that he has a model workout that's only 1 hour. I think it's called The model workout 1 hour, and then there is also the 90 minute sessions. There is 6 sessions at the 60 minute mark. Just wanted to point that out! I'd also recommend express, which is a 30 minute series he has that consists of cardio( high and low), toning for arms and legs, and more, but it's only 30 minutes total for each workout. He has a lot of programs so you have to kind of research I guess. Love you Rachel! Hope it works out for you!

    I switched over to Hamelin back in October after 12 years of TA. I'm now visibly leaning out and getting tighter all over, something I never saw with TA, even after 12 years, at least not to the same extend as HAM. I alternate between his model workout course, longer inch loss classes and his 1 hour inch loss classes.

    Hey hey, I'm new here, just found your channel today! After watching one of your videos, I did a little searching and binge watching as the way you talk about fitness is just my style or at least it was in the past before a hip injury 7 years ago. I'm finally feeling the ability to get back to moving well without nerve pain. I use to do a combo of walking videos and TAM meta and loved the results I was getting. At that time back in 2011, I didn't know TAM had other programs; so when the 90 days were up I joined a group bootcamp class to gain more knowledge and get more help from a trainer. Unfortunately, I ended up bulking up, feeling super hungry all the time and left a year later with a few minor unknown injuries due to poor form that I was aware of, plus the trainers had me lifting way too heavy, but I just didn't know any better. Thankfully, I do now. Anyway, I'm looking to lose around 40 pounds. I'm 39, 5'1, 160 pounds currently. Back when I started TAM, I was around 115 pounds and 27 years old. With that being said, I started TAM when I was small and at goal weight just looking to tone and tighten. Currently I'm looking to lose 40 pounds. So my question is should I focus on walking and food to get the weight down and then start back to TAM or would it be fine to start TAM now? I definitely was to drop a few dress/jean sizes. I'm also not sure I should just into meta right away as it would be pretty intense to start. I do have a few of her other DVD that I haven't ever tried, bit bought a few years ago as I have been trying to get my body back into fitness. I know for sure I won't buy the online services as it's beyond my budget. Any advice? I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for sharing you have helped me remember how easy and fun health and fitness is. I literally lost 70 pounds after baby #3 by counting my food and walking...and maybe nursing a baby helped a little...lol! Consistency is truly the key!

      @RundownwithRachel  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey Ashley! That is so frustrating!!! And I’m so with you consistency is key!
      It may be worth trying to do a type of 75 Medium challenge (you may have seen my last video on this) where you give yourself that consistency and pickup long walks daily or something low impact you enjoy. It will give you a period of time to suspend judgment on yourself too which I think is also key!

I've incorporated TA Metamorphosis for approx 2 years, (own videos and use RUclips.) This is a good workout and there is no real similarity to TA Method. I'm have an endomorph body type so I'm always worried about adding bulk to my thighs because I build muscle super fast in my hips and thighs. Do you think this type of workout doesn't work well for an endomorph body type since my goal is to stay away from workouts that increase thigh and hip size? For example I cannot do lunges or squats or anything that builds quads or hamstrings. I look for workouts that either lean me out or only tone up my body without increasing in inches.

    • @RundownwithRachel
      @RundownwithRachel  Год назад +2

      As much as I can tell you this has leaned me out and hasn’t bulked me - we could very well have different experiences. But wouldn’t that make things so much less complicated??
      It may be worth joining the Hamelin Facebook group and seeing if anyone else with an endomorph body type can attest to this and even to ask if they found success with one program over about. Because when I did the 3 week rotation which is a mix of his different workouts - my results were different than doing the Model Workout program which seems to have a MAJOR leaning effect. I’ve heard his program Inch Loss is also super leaning.

I know you started with the model series. I tried to join the FB group but they keep denying my request to join because I don't have a profile pic. Because of past issues with stalking and threats (true story), I don't want a photo and just use FB for 2 workout groups and 2 religious-related groups. I don't to any social media personally. So... since they refuse to let me join, I'm at square one and have no idea which program to purchase. Any of the ones free on You Tube you recommend that would be a good start? I don't mind spending $100 for a series - a bargain compared to TAM - but don't know which to choose. I'm a pear shape - lean arms and great abs - bubble butt with cellulite on the bottom. • @RundownwithRachel
      @RundownwithRachel  Год назад +2

      Hey Brooke! Such great questions! I do prefer Hamelin over TA - mostly because of the quick results and also that the cardio is mixed in the workout - so I am getting a 2 in 1. I do not have great knees either - and try to avoid jumping, lunges, etc. Within Hamelin's workouts, there is jumping, but I am not finding that its an issue. The good news is many of his workouts are available on RUclips. I am currently doing "The Model Workout" which I don't believe is on RUclips - but Inch Loss is similar to it - its a long workout but not taxing. Feels very much like old school aerobics. I plan to do a video talking through this topic by next Sunday. Back to the topic of TAM - Much of Tracy's old content can also be found on youtube (Metamorphosis) and truth be told, I got better results with that than her online streaming. It can be confusing, distracting and frustrating to navigate all of this - especially when the major question is WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR ME???? Right now, Hamelin is working great for me - but there has been an adjustment and I look forward to covering that next week. Have a great Sunday!

It’s so funny everything you talk about is stuff I’ve been sort of uncovering too. Like old school exercises and aerobics actually really work! Also for the Hamelin method I like the idea of a longer yet not exhausting workout too. When I was running regularly several years ago, I felt so much more bloated and inflamed. It’s like my body never got lean like so many runners talk about. I’m really enjoying your content. Thanks for taking the time to do it!

    Just curious why weightlifting wouldn’t get you where u want to be faster? Are u concerned about getting bulky with weights?

      I’ve done weight lifting in the past and I think it just comes down to how you feel and what you’re going for. I love the long lean look with Hamelin, and I’m sure people have done that with weights to an extent, but given I’m happy with the workout and results it’s seems to be what’s best for me at the moment. In the past I did HIT workouts with weights and it seemed to make me inflamed and incredibly hungry.

      @@RundownwithRachel okay well that’s a good reason! I ask bc it seems much harder and longer ( Anderson and Hamelin) than weight lifting but i am sure weights do leave us a little more bulky than these programs which isn’t my goal either. But I’m lazy enough to stick with weights 😂
