Definitely your best video yet Jon! I have had a dream to do a floatplane endorsement (as it’s called here in Aus) but very few places offer them let alone let you private hire the aircraft afterward. Looks like so much fun and quite technical when it comes to the step, landing, and taxying.

This is the video I've enjoyed the most from you, Jon. It's a step-up in production value and full of value in general. Loved it!

Beautiful video Jon, stunning intro and a beautiful production of next level proportions. I don't think you can be too hard on yourself at all, from my understanding landing a seaplane is incredibly tough in any circumstances let alone when the wind is whipping up in an unpredictable manner. Full right rudder, yet still being pulled left, engine off and trying to sail back in, just goes to show the completely different skill set required. It looks utterly incredible, but I won't be trying my hand at it any time soon! I'm glad you got to enjoy it and a special mention has to go to the rest of the crew, cameras etc for their sterling work

I'm no expert but thats not a seaplane, it's a floatplane, seaplanes have boat hulls, floatplanes are landplanes with floats.

The class is known officially as Single Engine Piston (Sea) for seaplane. There are two variants within the class - float is one of them - but differences training is required to fly either variant. Float or hull (flying boat)
