  • Here we are, then... the final song to round out the 2024 MegaMan Music Marathon, and while it doesn't loop normally, I tried to improvise something based on what made the most amount of sense. Ending this year's marathon, and overshooting the 15-minute mark a bit, is this request from GrenadeMan81, Awakening Will from MegaMan Zero 2.
Recorded off my GameBoy Advance SP (AGS-101).
For the third year in a row, we have hit triple-digits, but only just. The tally for 2024 is 100 songs, which is a bit of a ways off the sheer insanity of the 2022 and 2023 marathons, but you know what? That's perfectly fine for me. Even through songs that didn't really appeal to me, were hard on the ears or just plain difficult to listen to, the fun of recording these songs is still as strong as ever 12 years after starting these as a one-off in 2012. The tradition will continue on this channel for as long as there is still MegaMan music to record directly from the hardware the games were made for.
As always, viewer requests drive a large part of these, though with the influx of MegaMan Legends 2 requests and that game being a right pain in the rear to record the soundtrack from, plus unusual technical issues like was the case with MegaMan X Command Mission and the lack of hardware for the MegaMan Battle Network cell phone games, it did limit what I could do with them. Nevertheless, my PlayStation has worked overtime for the first time in quite a while after most of the RockMan Complete Works remixes dried up, and what a soundtrack MegaMan Legends 2 has, seriously.
To those whose requests I couldn't get to, I have saved them for future reference going into 2025. I thank you all for the many requests this year and in years prior. It's always a pleasure to record these for you, and you can bet there is more to come in 2025, where we very well could reach the 1000th MegaMan song to be featured (and I completely missed when we hit the 900th this time around).
With that, then, the 2024 MegaMan Music Marathon is officially over. I'll be here again on June 18, 2025 for another month-long marathon of MegaMan music. Stay safe, take care of yourselves, and I'll see you then!

Hey, that was a nice (custom) loop you did to the song, oh man... the memories of 2012, that first marathon (and requesting a lot of songs... XD ) doing the challenge for the Genesis Model 2 at the end of that year (which I still use a lot as it was THE console that made me get out of the console war bogus stuff and just focusing on playing whatever I want on whatever system I want... with real hardware if possible, otherwise an emulator that goes as close as possible based on the hardware I have), heck, I still remember that the first thing I saw was your Famicom Gradius 2 playthrough, and we have gotten so far since then, or the behemoth that was your fan made Unofficial Salamander 3, yeah... great memories since then, and it keeps growing, especially because in a few days I have to move to my new home and have to start from (almost) scratch again, but it will be a great new adventure for me.

Shouldn’t this be classed as Music+ and not just Music?
    Title has no +.

It gets the + designation when the clip exceeds 15 minutes by 30 seconds or more. This one doesn't.

@@Ace9921 Ah right, I guess that makes sense because then after 30 seconds it would technically be considered 16 minutes (though not exactly).
