- This is a fix for the remote start on a 2014 and up Chevy Silverado. This fix uses a 10K ohm potentiometer to jump out the connector going to your hood latch switch. The parts are available for under $7 on Amazon. This will fix the remote start not working both from your remote and from your Chevy app.
Nice you are very profesinal
Thanks for the tip 👍🏾

Can you make a video on how to make one
How much u charge to just make me one just to plug in
Which 2 do we use
I did this and the hood open message went off but now check engine light came on with a p257f code which means a higher voltage is being sent to ecm? What do I do?
someone asked below but what "2" pins do we solder the resistor to?
couldn't you just solder a 2k1 (2100) ohm resistor?
Several have asked me to make up a plug and play pigtail. Sorry i cant make one up to send out. I am sure because this bypasses the hood open Safety it may have some legal infringements on it. However here is the description of what to buy from Amazon ...... uxcell 20Pcs Blue White Horizontal Trimmer Resistor Potentiometer 103 10K Ohm ........... Just copy that to amazon and you are good to go. All you need to do is solder a wire to 2 of the 4 pins. Preferably the 2 running side by side in the same direction. then stick those wires into each pin on the wire going back to the BCM (not the pigtail on the hood latch) Make sure you previously set your resistance to about 2100. Test it then wrap it up. Your done at that point.
Install at your own risk as the hod open safety will no longer work.
I need one too. How much to send me one?
Couldn't you just replace the hood latch?
This is why I can't also release my hood latch
It's not safe
If the hood is open, the engine may start if someone pressed the start button on the remote control by mistake. It is better to change the sensor without any modification
Make me one I'll give you $40 bucks
