Looks great. I wish more manufacturers would do estates/touring/shooting breaks instead of the crossover SUV things. Shame they're not bringing the most powerful petrol version to compete against the M340i. Only time will tell how the residual values stack up against the German brands, that could be an issue. Door to door service is very appealing though.
Yea same here, even more so considering the 3 series and most importantly C-Class just got complete revamped model. Rather than this, I'm more interested with GV70 actually which face quite opposite situation since the rivals have started to show their ages ...
I was at Goodwood F.O.S yesterday and I absolutely fell in love with this car, the design of this car I think looks better than anything bmw, Audi or merc are offering. If could pick holes in it the interior isn’t as special looking as the merc say but I’d take this any day!! Beautiful car! I’m thinking of ordering one.
Definitely a beautiful and reliable car… now it would be great if it brought some technological advancements… Like Lexus made hybrid luxury… maybe they should be more on electric powertrains?
OMG, I love this design. Sadly Americans don't buy wagons (estates) the way Europe does. If this was being offered I would get it in a heart beat. Sucks UK doesn't get the 3.3 turbo because its an amazing engine but you do get a diesel which I heard UK likes better.
So great to see Genesis coming to Europe and Uk. This a very very beautiful car, but is it just me or does the design at the back look very similar to a Kia proceed shooting brake?
Very handsome car! Looks stunning very lexus like. Nice interior and great specs. All round a contender to maybe give the rivals something to worry about.
I'm mildly interested, but I'll be more so when the saloon version comes out (hopefully for less than €40,000 here in Ireland) 🤔😀🤘 ... (Also is it automatic only?! - meh! 😐 .)
It looks great, but for most people looking for an estate the impractical rear design counts it out. It looks very dark, sitting in the back, without any rear side windows.
Not entirely sure why you say its plasticky?? Genesis has a full Nappa leather trim and virtually zero plastic. The BMW and Merc rivals are full of piano black plastic. The interior has been classed as better than the Germans by multiple reviews in NA and Australia. Just saying.
Great car. The biggest problem with this brand in the UK is lack of advertising and brand awareness. Genesis need to really up their game and make the buying public aware of their luxury brand. If they don't they will unfortunately fail as people in the UK are like clones and default to buying Mercedes/BMW/Audi. A few with imagination and thought buy Lexus.
Genesis has now 3 dealer ships in Europe (which they claim are like studios, or something like that, idk); 1 in the UK (London), 1 in Germany (Munich) and 1 in Switzerland (Zurich).
The current USA G70 model gives 17 mpg city and 24 city. Awful. Seems to me you're showing what will be a 2022 G70, not yet released in the USA. Anyhow, not interested, sorry!
Draig'a' ur .....rear spoiler and rear slope of glass is almost like my v40 R-design which i will be changing summer 2022......id have the diesel genesis if they give me 13k trade in for the volvo :) otherwise it,ll be a 2nd hand volvo as new ones are way too expensive - and theyve nothing v40 size
Handsome looking car for sure. Pity about the animal skin interior. The 5 year door to door servicing is attractive. I really like the side and rear look. Front..is ok. Wow Korea. 🇰🇷
Interesting. Lexus just killed off the IS in Europe, allegedly because customers only buy SUVs, and here we have Genesis arriving in Europe, not only with a saloon G70, but also with a minimalist wagon-like "shooting brake" version, specially for our market. Lexus wanted to compete with the German triplets and yet never offered a wagon, just a rare shooting brake, from 2001 to 2005, that they never really tried to sell. And now they are basically becoming an SUV brand. I surely hope that Genesis has the better market analysis and after 20 years of being a faithful Lexus client, maybe it is time to try something else. Especially if they go full electric soon. Kind of makes you think about how the Sony versus Samsung rivalry ended for smartphones...
FV as in Fuel Vehicle? A hydrogen car uses a fuel cell; is that an FV? Is "FV" actually a thing or did you just make it up? I think you should have said ICE-powered vehicle.
Sadly it seems the days of proper estates like the Passat, Mondeo or Super soon seem to be over. Crossover here, sporty SUV there...can't here that anymore. Almost every new electric vehicle seems to rather have the young urban hipster in mind than a family in need of 600 L luggage space.
Totally would get one also like the proceed they stand out on the road different cars appeal to me almost every car on the road is a boring German car that all look the same ur c more super cars than one of these on the road 😀 but I like to be different also never had a good experience owning a German car 🤷♂️ don't know many people who have actually but every one keeps buying them got to keep up with next door 🤣
I'm just chuffed it's not coming to the U.S. The only thing selling in our market are SUV's so millenials can let everybody think they are "rugged outdoor types".
Is looking good Nice car Is more classic interior, why need to be like another cars is difrent what is wrong all time try to find something to critic Is nice car in reality is looking so good
Genesis needs to learn that the reason why estates are very popular in Europe is practicality. Most families who have the means to buy this will skip it even if it looks really good, which I think it does. The young inexperienced who would buy this over the A4 Avant, 3 Series Touring or C-Class Estate are just a handful.
A4, 3-Series and C-Class aren't even real family cars, not even close! If you want a "family car" from the "holy german trinity", then A6, 5-Series and E-Class are there for you.
@@dinohermann1887 That was before. The A4, 3-Series and C-class have grown over the years. They have become wider, longer and their estate variants offer a lot of space and comfort now.
Before I start, I like Hyundai/Kia products. Sadly I doubt the Genesis range will be here in 5 years time, a little like Infiniti. The G70, interesting car, huge Chinese favoured Grille is a bit ugly. Will it take sales from the German three? possibly a few, based on price. For many it will be the poor engine choice, forget the diesel, its an old noisy unrefined lump being over 2 litres does not help. There is only one petrol option in the UK a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder, other markets get a 300 BHP 2.5 litre 4 cylinder and the V6. As its based on the Kia Stinger platform it will be heavy, even with the 3.6L V6 the Stinger is slower than its rivals and uses more fuel, I suspect with a 2.0 L engine it will be even worse. I am surprised they did not learn from Stinger sales, the only model that found UK buyers was the V6, they quickly dropped the 2.0L and diesel versions. To sell in the UK, it needs other engine options, and a Hybrid. If you are considering a G70 wait for the GV70, more space and the 2.5 L engine, possibly the V6.
Looks like a GTA 5 car, bits and pieces of other cars..Don't like the front headlights..I see for some people that really different must mean beautiful which is absurd. Diamond shaped come on grill..come one...it's so corny
I like the idea of Genesis, a quality product to steel some of the german thunder and in time they might get the product right, just not yet. The interior just isn't a big enough jump up in style or quality from the Kia and Hyundai product already out there, which I personal think are great alternatives. My biggest complaint about all of the offerings is the lack of a viable Alternative to the M series and the RS range. I have a Kia Sorento and I love it. For the price, what you get the competition just doesn't compete. Where the competition leave the Koreans behind is when it gets to their top tier products. Genesis needs to stand out against its brethren and doesn't. Put a Stinger engine and underpinnings in this and I might be tempted, that's a great car but lacks the practicality. As things stand, I'm still more likely to stick with Lexus
*Hats off to the genesis designers. You guys did a top job* 👍
God, I wish that would be released in the states
Unfortunately, it's definitely not a reality.
I would buy one!! Big fan of AWD performance wagons.
Same...but unfortunately the majority of people in the US like their huge trucks & SUVs. Sigh...the downside of having a large country. Haha
Just like the RS6 all over again
Looks great. I wish more manufacturers would do estates/touring/shooting breaks instead of the crossover SUV things.
Shame they're not bringing the most powerful petrol version to compete against the M340i. Only time will tell how the residual values stack up against the German brands, that could be an issue.
Door to door service is very appealing though.
Boot opening may be a dealbreaker, but it’s a very handsome car!
"Oh that's hot, that's hot"
Been waiting for Genesis to come to Europe for a while, cars look mega imo
It’s stunning
Handed one of these over to a genesis employee last week, absolutely fantastic car!
I really like the look of these new Genesis models!
To bad I can't trade my G70 Launch Edition for this. I'm in the States.
Great looking car. Attractive price. 5 years premium service. Not bad.
Yes, I would buy it, and it’s especially attractive as the prices you quoted are considerably less than the rivals you mentioned
Genesis is stunning. All the cars. I’m really interested in the G80
I would definitely buy one over the competition. Just looks awesome.
Even though, I am a fan of the Genesis brand I must say that I don't find this car to be on par with the rest lineup.
Yea same here, even more so considering the 3 series and most importantly C-Class just got complete revamped model. Rather than this, I'm more interested with GV70 actually which face quite opposite situation since the rivals have started to show their ages ...
What a beautiful car with those wing like lights
I was at Goodwood F.O.S yesterday and I absolutely fell in love with this car, the design of this car I think looks better than anything bmw, Audi or merc are offering. Genesis are very appealing, they remind of Lexus before they started to go weird...I hope they sell well they look like a cracking product.
Definitely a beautiful and reliable car… now it would be great if it brought some technological advancements…
Like Lexus made hybrid luxury… maybe they should be more on electric powertrains?
Theyre going to become an all electric brand soon
I would have one over any German brand. Interesting design and will be far more reliable than German brands.
I would buy this in a heartbeat if they launched it in Australia!
Is your heart pounding ? Better get your wallet out! Apparently they’re launching here in October!😎👍🏼🇦🇺
It will be a nice replacement for my Stagea.
Its now in the Melbourne showroom
@@jimo1268 Will it come in 4wd or rear 2wd only?

Is this more compatible to the arteon or Passat
Brilliant 👏👏👏
Looks slick. Breaks my heart that you can't get the 3.3 turbo V6 in it.
That front end 😱. Rest is spot on
It looks great, but for most people looking for an estate the impractical rear design counts it out. It looks very dark, sitting in the back, without any rear side windows.
im so sad that we don't get it in US
Not entirely sure why you say its plasticky?? Genesis has a full Nappa leather trim and virtually zero plastic. The BMW and Merc rivals are full of piano black plastic. The interior has been classed as better than the Germans by multiple reviews in NA and Australia. Just saying.
Man, another gorgeous vehicle that us Americans just can't get
I'm in love 😍
The rear quarter has that awkward look similar to the Lexus ct200 ... Regards the rest, nice to see something a bit different 👍🏻
Yes, I would buy it.
Why does GV80 look a bit like pre facelift Bentayga in that green
Need an EV version of that in US, please!
Looks fantastic
Shame about the rear tail pipes
Should of done a fake Audi exhaust surrounds
I already owned hybrid and loaded with tech so future is electric ⚡⚡⚡ ECVT direct drive what a torque I am enjoying .
Who’d have the G70 over a 3er, A4 or C-Klasse?
I do like the design. I don’t mind having one.
Omg Koreans rock these days
So...a slightly smaller version of a GV70? ;)

I want it in Sweden. Love the design.
I hope they gonna make this as an EV in the near future
Maybe not in the current model since this is still facelifted version of previous gen G70, Genesis probably save EV trump card in the next gen ...
How Many times did he say Shooting Break hahahaha lol

They just couldn't give it Stingers 3.3 or 3.5L? Geez ... I wonder how many they will really sell .....
Those engines might come later if the genesis brand sells well in europe
The EU has strict emission standards, which hamper the introduction of the 3.3 V6 to European Genesis models, unfortunately.
On first view I thought it was a new Volvo😃
Draig'a' ur .....rear spoiler and rear slope of glass is almost like my v40 R-design which i will be changing summer 2022......id have the diesel genesis if they give me 13k trade in for the volvo :) otherwise it,ll be a 2nd hand volvo as new ones are way too expensive - and theyve nothing v40 size

Back looks lke an old Impreza estate

Wow Korea. 🇰🇷
I want one now
"Break!" ©
Such a shame on the boot capacity. I have more in my Skoda Octavia saloon!
really sad that they wont bring it to north america
Genesis are absolutely nailing it. Can't wait to own one in the future.
rear wiper must go , it ruins the back ...
Bmw touring and Genesis shooting brake ? Wrong. Bmw doesn't have shooting brake like Merc, Kia or Vw
We call it diamond grill in korea
Reminds ms of lexus is200 estate from years ago.
Nice
What is your height?
They will not sell a lot until they have a plugin.
Boy did they mess the extra design.
Dont like the interior :(
3 years from now it will be turning up in the taxi rank of a city near u having depreciated like a lead balloon
