The Prado is a beauty of a car. It doesn't deserve the title of "Watered" down Land Cruiser, this car more than holds its own and should be esteemed for a 4x4. You can absolutely never go wrong with this in your garage!

The tailgate opens like that because in other countries when you get the larger petrol engine, you get the spare wheel mounted there so because of that the tailgate is too heavy to open upwards.
@@DubSalvation It's a Land Cruiser because it is a Land Cruiser lol. It's a smaller, similarly capable, highly cost-effective LC with a smaller price tag. Where I am from, the original LC has such a bloated price, that you're way better off buying the LC Prado.

In Australia Range Rover is king.....if you're a woman or middle aged man who fanticises about the receptionist and dreams up extravagant scenarios where he gets to drop her home after a work do in Sydney city. Anywhere else, towing caravans or horses, crossing croc infested rivers, thousands of kms of corrugations, sand, bulldust, rock, 45 c outside, expected to last 1 million kms with basic maintenance in the back yard and maybe pull a road train or two out of a boggy dirt road, its Land cruiser.

I would never compare a Land Cruiser with a Land Rover that falls apart when almost brand new. My neighbor has had a Land Cruiser for 22 years and it's still going strong. He owns a small company that cuts wood in some remote forests so it gets driven off-road and abused a lot. He even crashed it once and destroyed the front bumper. Despite 22 years of abuse, it's still going strong. How long would a Land Rover last?
Well I had a Land Rover working on the farm and towing 3.5 tons regularly for 22 years and 12,000 hours of use, which was equivalent to around 350,000 road miles, and another few for around 10 years each. I've also got a Land Cruiser 100 1HD FT-E, bought new, which is 20 years old in September this year and has nearly 200,000 miles on the clock. I'm off now to hitch up the 14ft triple axle trailer to it and will tow two loads of 3.5 tons each, approximately 56 miles. A job that the old Land Rover 110 HiCap pickup used to do. A job now shared with a Ford Ranger.
Talked to my friend with the Prado/90/Colorado this afternoon. His was new in 2003 and is currently in his workshop with its rusted out rear axle removed, waiting for a replacement off a crash damaged one.

This video particularly is different, its not a review but rather a vlogger video where he shares his fun with the audience
Land Cruiser, Prado! Don't forget the Prado!
I thought the only difference was styling and the drivetrain
That's my country❤️❤️
4:05 Look at the size of the shock for the boot!!!
Ladies and gentlemen with you Land Cruiser Prado 🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I hope you can review that white Toyota Fortuner too. It would be interesting 😁
Toyota land cruiser
The real deal
The best of them all...
I love this lc prado ❤❤
Tough job you have! "Welcome to Namibia!"
I'm born and raised in Namibia. When we drive in the dunes or the beach with our VW Amarok we deflate the tyres to 1.2 bar. Makes a world of difference. On the tar road they will be between 2 and 2.5 bar.
German genocide
@@simona4315 Thanks for your thoughtful input
@@ingo7908 so Ingo, aren't you German? But you don't have any accountability for actions of your forefathers. Also German refused any crimes occured till 100 years later.
@@simona4315 You conclude that I must be German solely based on my name even though I already stated the opposite in my initial comment. That's quite the assumption.
I made a comment on a car video. It's strange that you felt the need to comment what you did. Do you also respond with "holocaust" on every Germany related video?
Anyways, I'm definitely not going to debate a historic event with some random person on the internet.
@@ingo7908 there's no debate to be had. Germany committed genocide in Namibia. You're living in Namibia and still benefiting from fruits of crime and colonialism.
Never seen him that much smiling and enjoying. Land cruiser is a tough bastard suv
Just for people interest. Australia has the biggest market of both Prado and Land Cruiser.
Millen Rogers no it's uae
Millen Rogers seems shagging sheep affects aussies heads
Middle east dude , they are everywhere
Millen Rogers I know my country won't rank as one of its biggest markets but these Prado's are everywhere. There's no day that goes by I don't see at least 30 on the road while driving.
Millen Rogers no it's Qatar .cime and check it out
Fun Fact: Americans know this as a Lexus GX
No that's the full size land cruiser 200, not the prado
Dallas Grantley No, the full size land cruiser is a LX (which the full size is in the USA as well), the Prado is available in the USA as the Lexus GX
@@adriantothejin ah right
The 4runner replaces the prado in the US, otherwise you'd have the prado and the gx
And here is the king of offroad, not those shitty range rovers that break down constantly.
Flix this is the baby version, so to say the prince of its father, the Land Cruiser 200
So true
Flix I know which one I would rather have and it’s not the Toyota
They say its the Jeep but i still prefer the landcruiser
Flix Land Rover have been around before land cruisers and will be the after the land cruises are long gone plus they are better off road more comfy.......
Ooh Amazing Carwow in Africa good off-road beasts of the Savannah.. endless possibilities.
Really exciting to see that Mr Watson was in Namibia offraoding. Next time bring Yianni with.
