This guy is great. He is so honest and talks to us in a simple, casual way that makes it enjoyable to watch. Unlike other vids, he is not afraid to mention the downsides of the car.
Yep..I bought a white one, I love it..only one problem so far, the plastic rocker covers and plastic rear wheel flares are really badly stone chipped after 500 miles, it's covered under warranty and I have new ones waiting at the dealership, when they are fitted I will put some adhesive film on them to protect them, just something to think about if you buy one. I have the 2.4 ltr, and it IS underpowered but not so it is tedious, I don't tow and ride around at 80 mph, so works for me. VERY comfy ride and will go anywhere. Very happy with it.
Great review and a great car, if you don't like how it looks spend another 20k for an evoque. For about 30k+ for what it offers you would really have to think hard before you even look a other brands. Excellent review A+
Well, my wife has an Evoque since two years (top version) and now I'm gonna buy this one. And have to say that she is jealous now and proposing to switch cars from time to time. Yes, the Evoque is much better finished (it is extremely solid inside, what the TH lacks) but there are much more funny options in this Jeep like the parking assistant or the lane control. And the interior is, as I said, not as well done as in the Evoque, but still quite good.
There's no way this is a midsize suv. Just because it says trailhawk on the back doesn't mean is any longer or wider. A better option will be the subaru forester in terms of off-road capabilities and a bigger fuel efficiency.
It's not true the 4cyl is the old Chrysler 2.4 Tigershake engine modernized with Fiat’s variable valve timing and lift technology, with separate timing for each cylinder, controlled by electro-hydraulic valve actuators. A solenoid regulates the amount of oil sent to the actuator, which controls the timing and amount of lift, from completely closed to completely open. The engine (inclusive the new valve System) is build in the United States. The 2.4 uses MultiAir 2, which controls both valve opening and closing..
Wrong, FIAT Engineering is the company that invented common rail injection for diesel engines in the '90s, their diesels are the most reliable on the EU market at the point that most heavy duty vans built by Renault, Iveco and FIAT and used by UPS, FedEx and such (huge mileage and low maintainance are key in their business) mount engine/gearshift blocks from Fiat Powertrain company and are mostly 1.6 or 2.0 liter Multijet series diesel engines.
what's wrong with you, guys? are you living back in 80s and this Jeep does not fit your imagination? it has beautiful futuristic look. don't like it? drive your Cherokee from 80s and enjoy it, why you keep coming here with your hateful comments?
I just recently bought this car and I can actually say I love it. I have not taking it off roading yet but I can't wait , and I have to say the guy that did the video did a good job.
I'm curious who would cross shop this vehicle with an Xterra or a 4runner. They might cross shop a Grand Cherokee with those, but I can't see where this vehicle is even relevant in a real body on frame truck style SUV shoppers world.
I don't go offroading, very often if at all, if I get an SUV I want it it to look good, get decent gas milage, and be utilitarian, the Jeep Cherokee fails in one of those categories for me, but looks are subjective. I'd rather get a Honda CR-V or a Toyota Highlander/RAV-4, or a Ford Escape, which gets the same estimated MPG as the Cherokee, but looks better IMO.
It's a great car. It looks much better in person. I wasn't sure about it in the first place, but i went to the dealership to look at it and test it and I ended up buying one. lol. I love it. And it has excellent fuel economy
test drove both and got the trailhawk with 24valve v6. Jeep blows the GMC out of the water. the terrain steering sucks, not smooth at all, and doesnt have the pickup of the jeep. jeep > gmc
It's for taking kids to school? Haha! If my parents brought me to school in this thing I'd make them drop me off a few blocks away so nobody saw me getting out of the ugly goddamned thing.
That vehicle is ridiculous, it is what happens when Chrysler Neuters a real vehicle. $41k? You can pick up a real XJ for $4k and crawl over that POS. Sad sad days these are.
I really dont understand how people would love the interior of this car.... I gotta admit that this car has attractive and futuristic looks, but the interior just looks extremely cheap when you get in there ---> check out the dashboard for the passenger seat for instance, there is nothing but a huge cheap-looking plastic dash that takes up most of the space... If the car had better interior I probably would have purchased it already
you were getting alot of attention and looks because people were saying wtf thats an ugly car dont see alot on the roads because its ugly....heavy rebates on that car already
Wrongo Marylou! 100, 000 sold in the first 8 months on sale. And no rebates at all! It will probably outsell the Wrangler AND Gr Cherokee this year, and be Jeeps best selling model.

Great review. Love this vehicle. I would say this competes against the rav 4 and CRV as opposed to the 4 runner and Xterra.
Fantastic thanks so much and very informative

Pontiac Aztek "2014 Jeep Remix" #fugly #fail
I don't like that the 4cyl. isn't a Chrysler motor, but Fiat instead. Makes me think it'll be less reliable and more expensive to repair.

ugly car?? wow, this is the best looking suv out there, maybe not for the soccer moms :) love the front, but the cargo space is the biggest problem

Just bought a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk...LOVE IT!
At first I wasn't a fan but now I think it looks really good.
I just recently bought this car and I can actually say I love it. I have not taking it off roading yet but I can't wait , and I have to say the guy that did the video did a good job.
I don't think Toyota 4Runner is the proper comparison vehicle to this Cherokee... this is more like a Rav4 comparison vehicle
Really great review... impressed and subd.
Awesome review
Great review.

Excellent review. I think it looks great and the interior is very nice
Thanks Mr Chris your explanation is very clear ..!!
Should i buy a 2014 jeep Cherokee trailhawk with 200k miles

Ugly Front! I would like to test it but the Ugly front is the main hold back ( I like the hood and every thing else!) Nice guy
...@ 2:37 kind of an odd looking vehicle??! you mean JEEP don't you? o_0
What color is this? Brilliant Black or Granite?
Actually it is probably True Blue.
wonderful car
"Its really pleasurable to grip for long periods of time"
Sorry for the nitpick - but it is hiatus, not "haiedous".
Fiat, u son of a bitch :(
I just for this car 2014
5 year old
Great review. Suggest not saying "Now," so many times.
Nothing made by Chrysler is legitimate.
That front end. Ugliest thing ever.
Also, that front end is one thing that helps it get such great fuel economy.
Clay Martin If I want great fuel economy I'll get a toyota hybrid.
JustaKoreanGuy good stereotypical reply. It's possible to have both superior off-road ability with good fuel economy. You shouldn't closed minded.

JustaKoreanGuy fair enough. Those are all Good choices for dinner who isn't planning on offroading
HIATUS*
it's only an 8 way power seat not 12 way lol
Looks like a MDX from the side. I dont even know what to say about the front. :(
It's a great car. It looks much better in person. I wasn't sure about it in the first place, but i went to the dealership to look at it and test it and I ended up buying one. lol. I love it. And it has excellent fuel economy
Kill designer... Do it! Do it now!!!
super helpful, this is great
platforn is wrong
do you think this is better than the GMC Terrain??

No disrespect, but can a person who is overweight really comment on comfort or interior room in a vehicle.
Yes.
that is one ugly car!!
What an ugly car. I would be ashamed to drive this. LOL
zorkor beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol. i think it looks kinda radical.
