had almost jumped on the haters band wagon until I went and looked at one , then test drove one then signed off on a 2016 trailhawk, no regrets , love this Jeep.
I thought it's absolutely hideous when I saw it for the first time, but it kinda grew on me, I got used to the idea of this design and now it doesn't seem ugly at all in my opinion, and it does look a lot better when you see it in person. I mean seriously, it really does. I actually start liking this car.
While I don't know if I like this design or not, I can appreciate that Jeep are stepping out of their comfort zone with this one. Most other manufacturers are really playing it safe with their designs, and it's kinda getting old. Although, I do really like the new Toyota TRDpro series of trucks.
I would seriously get this vehicle, it's absolutely outstanding, and I actually like the look of it, it gives it a nice stealthy look, and is great Aerodynamics.
This car looks like shit in pictures and on RUclips, but after seeing it in real life with the led running lights on I think it's one of the best looking small suv's on the market.
its funny because I thought this car was horrendous when I first seen it unveil, but seeing it on the road more and more its really looks nice, especially the trailhawk
Nobody is complaining. They're stating their opinion, a component of free speech. That's what comment boards are for. No car, no matter how ugly or beautiful it might be will everybody like it. I think this vehicle is ugly and I think it's a slap in the face for the Cherokee name since the old Cherokee was a true Wrangler based Jeep. They were cheap to run, reliable, easy to fix and they went anywhere.
Djonkie Bonk Dude lol look up the definition of complaining. I'm well aware that not everyone is going to like everything. You can like or dislike whatever you want. It doesn't bother me. I'm just stating my opinion that I find most of the comments disliking this vehicle amusing. By the way if I was Jeep, I would never of named this vehicle Cherokee in the first place. If they just gave it a new name they could of avoided this shit storm.
Absolutely the best non rolling review on the Trailhawk I have seen. Great job. Only thing I thought was strange was all the rev demonstrations and I think you introduced the engine types like 3 times. But since the engine types between the models varies so much and affects the capabilities, it seemed appropriate.
Your review is quite comprehensive, covering many facts and info, not covered by others. Other than a bit too much reviving of the engine, a great job! Thanks.
Like the new look and headlights. Hated the old box Cherokee look. They finally got with the times and updated this. This review was timely. Spent last two days at jeep dealer looking at the trailhawk.
Thank you so much this detailed review, I really appreciate the way you sat in the seats, told us your height, and the comfort level of the cushion and seat backs. These are some of the most important aspect of a car review yet a lot of reviewers are simply too lazy to do it. Some might say "why you visit the dealer and look at the cars yourself?" But the fact is, most people find it unpleasant to do that because the sales persons are often quite pushy/annoying. So thank you, for these detail look at the cars, they really save us a lot of time and trouble.
I remember seeing this car before it was even released. Chrysler was testing it on i70 in colorado. It had no badges or decals and all 6 of then were white. I got pictures and was able to sit in one of them
I sat in the drivers seat during the Chicago auto show yesterday on the 15th of February. This shit was tight. I would recommend the Grand Cherokee. Its more spacious. The materials in it weren't bad at all. Its a nice truck, it was just a tad bit small imo.
At first I really hated the looks of this thing. But after seeing the Trailhawk edition, It's getting better. I feel like once you start piling on the 4x4 accessories, this could be a mean looking little truck.
It isn't that bad as everybody says... I'm only not entirely sure about the front of the car, the front lights are too small for a car of its size, but I'd definitely want to own it.
I agree. It's not awful. The front end ruins it for me. That split headlight/blinker thing totally ruins it for me. Similar to the Juke, great idea.. but headlights ruin it. Which sounds so stupid, but it's true.
I guess I'm the only one who likes the look of this car. People who complain that new cars all look the same are the same people who chastise cars like the Cherokee for being too quirky.
surprising that car and own brand does well! Correct external lines and exquisite interior. Who does not like this car, do not you drive! Thanks and a hug to all of Brazil.
I think this Jeep looks strange but it is growing on me.....also I respect them for at least trying something new more brands need to mix things up a little bit.
It's 2014, and cars are already beginning to look like the Toyota FT-1. In my honest opinion, the best looking cars were made from the 90s to the late 2000s. After that, everything went downhill.
The overall design isn't bad, but I don't like how they followed the Nissan Juke's front-end design. 2 part lighting isn't bad (the French Citroen C4 Picasso pulled it off well), but the Japanese & Americans somehow just make it look odd/really out of place. The fuel economy even with Jeep complex AWD system & 3.2 V6 it still is a respectable; Kudos to Jeep here. I just hope unlike the last Cherokees, these ones will last without something going wrong every other week.
why does it seem like EVERY new car on EARTH has to be curved and rounded? EVERY SINGLE CAR you could slap a whatever logo on this car and you would not be able to tell jeeps used to be beautiful this is not a jeep
Stevie Stormz only new car ONLY new car that hasn't gone all round is the dodge challenger it truly looks to me like a true muscle car a TRUE muscle car but i bet it will get the same punnishment as the rest of the cars
a combo of aerodynamics for higher MPG ratings and pedestrian safety laws. basically, blame obama and you'd be mostly correct. but hey, that's what the used car market is for, there's a lot of fantastic cars you can get for the price of this ugly bloated garbage
you never went over the navigation in the other model just the infotainment system, but I have to say I can't blame you for forgetting with a car with this much features
This thing made my list of "Imposibru Vehicles To Look At"... I mean GOOD GOD, did the designer ever once pause to look at his creation n go WHAT THE HELL HAVE I CREATED???? I can't believe people are actually buying this... I've only seen one in my town... lol.
my dad has one that's a 2015 model limited with the 4 cylinder in it and 4 wheel drive too. when we first got it, i didnt nessecarily agree that much to the electric parking brake right by the transmission shifter. Personally, I'd prefer the traditional parking brake where you can actually pull it up. But, welcome to the future, I guess..
I am just not digging the Cherokee exterior redesign. Hopefully the next model will have more of a subtle Grand Cherokee resemblance. The interior is well done though.
Heard that a 9 speed automatic would be the standard transmission fitted to the vehicle and I actually like the design at the front especially the boomerang shaped headlights. Also the engine bay of the v6 model doesn't actually look like a v engine at all
It's not the ugliest car in the world guys, so stop hating on jeep for trying something different so chill. I will say that the back lights are kinda ugly but its starring to grow on me.
Thank you for saying this. I'm annoyed with seeing all of the "this car is so ugly" comments on here. Get over it people! Times have changed, and so have car designs.
I think you should do the 2014 chevy sonic hatchback rs My dad drove one at the auto show and he said that the couldn't feel any pot holes and we were in Philly
had almost jumped on the haters band wagon until I went and looked at one , then test drove one then signed off on a 2016 trailhawk, no regrets , love this Jeep.

its not ugly its Unique
It's uniquely ugly.
loooool I like that one XD
H4M24UK :D
Is that what your mom told you as a kid?
Devon Lewis that was not funny, it was so dead i had to plan my funeral
I would seriously get this vehicle, it's absolutely outstanding, and I actually like the look of it, it gives it a nice stealthy look, and is great Aerodynamics.

Agreed! At first I thought they were ugly but now I'm in love with them!
It looks better in person and it's sales are pretty good
lt looks better in person and its sales are pretty good

its funny because I thought this car was horrendous when I first seen it unveil, but seeing it on the road more and more its really looks nice, especially the trailhawk
It's so funny seeing people complain about the look of this car. It's like they're children.
I'm sure Jeep will sell a ton of these actually. I've seen them popping up all over the place.
***** you are right they did sell a lot of these
Djonkie Bonk Dude lol look up the definition of complaining. I'm well aware that not everyone is going to like everything. You can like or dislike whatever you want. It doesn't bother me. I'm just stating my opinion that I find most of the comments disliking this vehicle amusing.

lawnmowerdude I'd hate to see your wife, then.

Gotta say, the design of this thing is growing on me. Only the Trailhawk, though.
Saw it the other day, looks better in person
Your review is quite comprehensive, covering many facts and info, not covered by others. Other than a bit too much reviving of the engine, a great job! Thanks.

This truck grew on me alot. Im digging it
I had a 2016 Jeep Cherokee latitude (base model) I loved it,almost had 200,000 miles but my parents decided to sell it. Great car 🚗
The looks ate growing on me too. Dang and it's really good going off-road.
I remember seeing this car before it was even released. Chrysler was testing it on i70 in colorado. It had no badges or decals and all 6 of then were white. I got pictures and was able to sit in one of them
When I first saw concept images and pre production versions of this I thought it was hideous but I must admit the styling is growing on me.
I sat in the drivers seat during the Chicago auto show yesterday on the 15th of February. This shit was tight. I would recommend the Grand Cherokee. Its more spacious. The materials in it weren't bad at all. Its a nice truck, it was just a tad bit small imo.
I like the new camera angle for rear seating. Keep it up kyle
At first I really hated the looks of this thing. But after seeing the Trailhawk edition, It's getting better. I feel like once you start piling on the 4x4 accessories, this could be a mean looking little truck.
6 years later. Mine has 207k miles and running strong. My is the v6
better looking than a nissan juke

I couldn't agree more! But I guess I'd get used to it since I still like the car.
LOL at those headlights; the Chinese must have taken part in its production.
I guess I'm the only one who likes the look of this car. People who complain that new cars all look the same are the same people who chastise cars like the Cherokee for being too quirky.
Don't see why everyone doesn't like this. It's meant to be a crossover and I think it looks fine but I would still rather have a grand cherokee
I had the old model from 2000 now I have this model I love it and it goes good in the snow and ice
Wrangler will always be my favourite
Grand Cherokee: Laredo is where it's at boss!...but Wrangler is badass too
I prefer my 98 Cherokee...but this is starting to grow on me
I will always prefer the old Cherokees. They look so much better in my opinion. What do I know. I drive a Grand Prix... lol
I just laugh and shake my head when I see one of these on the road. You must have a.. unique taste to buy this thing.
Awesome review, I will get a Trailhawk 3.2 with every option (beside moonroof and trailer hitch) soon! I can't wait to get it!
I HATED this look when i first saw it. Then I it in person and disliked it. Now I have seen it many times and like it. Guess it just grows on you.
surprising that car and own brand does well!
Correct external lines and exquisite interior.
Who does not like this car, do not you drive!
Thanks and a hug to all of Brazil.
Your presentation is OUTSTANDING!!! :)
I have a 96 XJ and I love. Wouldnt trade it for anything. I starting to look into the newer Cherokee and to be honest, they aren't that bad.
I love it. I have face just like this jeep. but we are both unique and lovable while going away.
Which one is the 4 cylinder and which one is the V6. Nice review as always.
Revolutionary exterior design.
Jeeps should NEVER be front wheel drive. This just makes me sad.
Casey Weaver FWD has its benefits though
I love those headlights.
I think this Jeep looks strange but it is growing on me.....also I respect them for at least trying something new more brands need to mix things up a little bit.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Great review! Probably the most thorough car review I have ever seen. Keep it up!
Last Gen Was The Best, Great Review!
Holy shit, it's a new Aztek!
I like this car. The front just needs to be less pointy and the rear needs more design on it. Otherwise, this car is great!
love that you reviewed the Cherokee
you never went over the navigation in the other model just the infotainment system, but I have to say I can't blame you for forgetting with a car with this much features
The front looks like.... I just can't describe it... Unusual
This thing made my list of "Imposibru Vehicles To Look At"... I mean GOOD GOD, did the designer ever once pause to look at his creation n go WHAT THE HELL HAVE I CREATED????
I can't believe people are actually buying this... I've only seen one in my town... lol.
oops, now there's two in town!
I gotta say I like the gauges on the dash they look good
Finally ! I've waiting your review!
un carro de estos le luce a usted hijo
BEAUTIFUL
whoa... those MPG numbers were super unexpected. I'm impressed. I figured low twenties.
i hated this car at first... but i like it now
Looks amazing
This car is very neat! I love it
only great thing is, as always, Mr. Kyle!!!!
They completely changed the look just like what they did with the Mustang
I love watching videos of cars that i cant afford
Those transverse mounted engines with their plastic intake manifolds look so dam sexy!!
i ridden in one too it not bad at all very nice car!!!!
my dad has one that's a 2015 model limited with the 4 cylinder in it and 4 wheel drive too. when we first got it, i didnt nessecarily agree that much to the electric parking brake right by the transmission shifter. Very well done, it has me ready to purchase an off lease unit.. thanks!
Do all 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk models come with push start button or do u have to install it?
Am i the only one who thinks this car looks cool and futuristic?
Very cool!!! This car really from 2018!
Good video you use 2 cars, 1 with access system, the other witout access sytem no?
I'd buy one
Looks futuristic. Dodge has come a long way!
you mean Chrysler?
Yes... Btw, check out my channel! Every subscriber counts!
David MuscleGuy
You mean Fiat?
If anyone wants to get technical, the company is now referred to as "Fiat Chrysler Automobiles". (FCA)
Very detailed video. Good Job!
I am just not digging the Cherokee exterior redesign. Hopefully the next model will have more of a subtle Grand Cherokee resemblance. The interior is well done though.
oh well cherokee is back
Love it.
Hey, that lake norman dealership is like 3 miles away.....We should've hung out Kyle!!
Call me old-fashioned, but I truly miss the old Cherokee. The new one's styling isn't my thing, but the tech is modern nonetheless.
Heard that a 9 speed automatic would be the standard transmission fitted to the vehicle and I actually like the design at the front especially the boomerang shaped headlights. Also the engine bay of the v6 model doesn't actually look like a v engine at all
Very bold move by Jeep. The only worry is, well... How do you put the license plate on it? Glue?
Nice vehicle, excellent review.
Haters gonna hate.
I wish the front was more conservative and less controvercial... This would be an awesome car if it wasn't for that
Bought one and its great!
I'm getting one next week when the dealer orders it
PLEASE DO A REVIEW ON THE 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA. IM PLANNING TO GET ONE SOON :) probably the 3.5SL
That chime sounds like the one in a 1990's Buick.
looks weird
Personally i don't think looks that bad. I'd still buy one
That gray color would look nice on a challenger.
Saabkyle, can you try and do a 2013-2014 Chevrolet Captiva fully loaded?
in USA no captiva. captive only for EU & others :)
ACTUALLY...there are now Captiva's in USA. That's why I asked him to review one...(P.S.) I work for Generals Motors.
nice joke :). i cant see in USA Chevy site info about captiva....here www.chevrolet.com/
& one more thing en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Captiva take a look under "Market"
...it's here as fleet. It's in the USA. I rented one. It's here based off the Saturn Vue in USA.
I think you should do the 2014 chevy sonic hatchback rs
My dad drove one at the auto show and he said that the couldn't feel any pot holes and we were in Philly
This is like the Aztek 2.0
that 4cyl sounds AWFUL
rebelyell22 I know sounds like shit
It’s a fiat 4cyl so.. yea that’s to be expected
Uhm fiats are good some of them-
When the KJ and KK Jeep Liberty based Cherokee landed for the European market, it is controversial.
