2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Review

- The legendary Jeep brand has revived the famous Cherokee nameplate for 2014. Obviously the vehicle is worlds -- no, galaxies apart -- from the XJ model of decades past. It offers superior fuel economy, a more carlike on-road experience as well as the latest comfort and convenience features. But still, if you going to wear the Cherokee name you've got some big shoes to fill.

I saw one the other day. Looks better in person than in photos and videos. The Jeep. Not Craig Cole.
I agree!!!
vid quality and editing is top notch - nice work.
a lot of people criticize some top trim american cars for being expensive, but what you pay is what you get, and times have changed, american cars are becoming more and more luxurious and have lots of class leading advantages
You guys have really good reports, keep on keepin' on, cheers!
I really enjoy your reviews Craig, light but also informative. Keep them coming. I'm a big fan.
Very good review. Thanks for the angle and clearance information.
As always nice review loving the illustrations. I have to though in the beginning I was offended by the looks of this Jeep when it was first released but now it is growing on me.
I agree with you. At first l thought...DAMN. Now I still stare but with a warmer opinion :)
Lactating with rage. I've gotta borrow that one.
awesome review! keep up the amazing work!
This guy needs to do more reviews. Well done sir.
OMG I can't stop laughing at your bloopers. Awesome review, they all need to be like this.
I actually like the styling, it looks different and kind of like something I would drive on the moon! Interesting!
Good review
I like this guy's style. Funny.
"skid marks in your britches" hahahaha hilarious. love this reviewer
keep it goin bro
Love the off-road scenes testing the trail rating, reminds me of my driveway... I drive a Camry.
Every idiot'a drives toyota's
good conclusion
Every reviewer of this vehicle has said that it now rides on a car based architecture/unibody design. When in fact the Cherokee and the Liberty have always been unibody, the main difference is it now has 4-wheel independent suspension. The original Cherokee had a solid axle front and back and the Liberty was independent in the front and 5 link solid in the rear. Toyota wants to take credit for having the first unibody SUV when it introduced the RAV4 when in fact the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee where the first.
LOL THE CUT SCENES
I have a 2014 limited v6. Great vehicle.
Any issues that came up. I'm thinking about getting one
I.love jeep
Great review Craig, man you're a little crazy.
"Shock and awe" having passed, I'm okay with the styling. It's still a much more radical departure than I wold care for. It should have looked much more like the J-GC. The "Moon patrol" look is not bad, but not what a JEEP should look like.
I kinda dig it. Looks cool imo
The car is ugly..... Could never own one..... But very good review.. Like the new style and graphics you used to explain the ground clearance.
still not a fan...but i think the styling is growing on me a bit. a nice change from the same monotonous designs
Believe me, its better in person, specially on this awesome TrailHawk trim
It's a cool design. Gotta see it, the LED's look good too. Totally different and modern almost futuristic.
I've seen jf
Serious old schoold hair style.
Also, compared to lets say the Subaru Forester Limited you get a 10 times more car for the price, well done Jeep!
This guy was a little annoying the first time I saw one of his reviews. Now however, he has grown to become my favorite reviewer.
A little annoying? Six years later he is extremely annoying!
Three yes Three! Got a lil daffy duck lisp going on there!
Die Stimme geht mir auf die Nerven
I world definitely prefer the skid plates over skid marks.
Son: "Daddy what's that in the sky?"
Daddy: "Well son that's a gigantic F'ing helicopter!"
Son: "F you gigantic F'ing helicopter!"
Craig, were you having a seizure at the end there? :P
LOL, indeed! It was one of my frequent standing seizures.
Happens to the best! haha
Long live Zune! (random, I know, but I had to say it :P)

Mom jeans part deux !! Yeah boooooiiii !!!!
Don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em! With a chest-high waistband (elastic of course) they keep my torso nice and warm. LOL!
never buy a jeep with front wheel drive, and if you have a jeep with front wheel drive, good luck reselling them
Don't sneer at front wheel drive. The idiots who buy these cars don't use them for off road anyway. If anything their sickly perceived capability gets them stuck in deep snow.
It's ugly. It's heavy. The 2.4L is weak especially when you load on the options. 9 speeds is too many gears. 7 probably would have been ideal. Yes this shifts ALOT. For 36K this should have a V6. With the 2.4L you better treat the engine with XADO at 10K miles. You will be on the accelerator pretty hard to move this thing around.
This was a very negative comment I thumbed down for that. I want to note that it's funny you say 7 gears is ideal while one of the most off road capable vehicles the Range Rover Sport has an 8 speed. Also if all you are doing is running about town the 2.4L is enough. Also if you are going to complain about a vehicle at least try and look at the positives.
IT'S NOT A CAR, IT'S A JEEP. STOP SAYING CAR.....
really ugly car...
