Thank you SO much for actually explaining what is what.
Other youtubers don't talk during those video (but they put annoying music over it), It's easy to understand when people explain what they are doing and why they are doing it that way.

      no worries at all
I'm not a fan at all of loud music playing over repair videos
I rather a slower pace and explain about it

The level of anxiety that comes with DIY teardown. I have the 250 G7 but mine does have the optical drive, are the internals the same other than the drive?

Very similar, it might be best to take it to a local pc shop and get them to do it for you, if you are anxious about it

.hi, thanks for it, but i have one problem. i cloned my old hd to wd harddrive to a Crucial P5 CT1000P5SSD8 1 TB Solid State Laufwerk (3D NAND, NVMe, PCIe,). but I didn't get it as boot device. the western digital I put out of the notebook. I didn't get rid of the bios enabling. Have you any ideas?

    • @rickstechrepairs

i would load up the bios and see if you can change the boot order.
Also im not 100% sure if these machines support NVMe drivers, its possible it only supports m.2-Sata

Hello, I have the NOTEBOOK HP 250 G7 153B9LT 15.6 / I5-1035G1 / 4 / 1TB / DOS. And I want to add 8gb of RAM to it. That is, it already has 4gb to DDR4-2666 and I want to add another 8gb DDR4-2666 module, in total 12gb. The technical question is the following:
    Is this 12gb combination (4gb DDR4-2666 + 8gb DDR4-2666) going to work at the speed of 2666 or 2400?
Because someone told me that this configuration of 4 + 8 in this notebook works at 2400 but if I put 8 + 8 it works at 2600.
    Could you confirm how fast the 4gb 2666 + 8gb 2666 combination works? 2666 or 2400?
Thank you, I await your reply.

    • @rickstechrepairs
      @rickstechrepairs  3 года назад

      having mis matched ram
it will run at the speed of the slowest of the pair
you can mix and match sizes, example 4GB+8GB

brother i have a question i have a laptop HP 205 G7 serial number 6MS19EA is it a good idea to upgrade the ram memory with two slots of 8gb corsair SODIMM-2666MHZ on intel processor i3-7020. Will support 16 ram memory. And in cmd I checked with the command "wmic memphycial get maxcapacity" and it turned out that the maximum is 32GB supported. I don't know what to do, how much memory to install and it works great, if you have a suggestion, if there is a better than consair ram memory for software, suggest it to me. Thank you in advance!

16GB is a decent amount for a machine like this
