Do I need to wear the static wrist strap or mat?? After 2 years of IT studies, we only work on desktops so far. So I am unsure about laptops & can't really find any helpful info on Google. Thanks!
Great decision for the IT study. Yes, if you wan't to be 100% sure, a static wrist strap is recommended and disconnect the battery and charger of course before working on the laptop. And you are welcome.

While you had the back off you could have replaced the thermal paste too.
It was not necessary, the laptop was new at the time of filming.

I have this laptop and I got bluescreen twice while doing an update, did it overheat? What can I do to prevent that?
It can be Driver related. It's just one of the possibilities. Search the error you get on the blue screen in google. Good luck
On the hp site it says maximum 16gb ram. Any ideea if it works with 32?

Bro, can I add an SSD without replacing the old one?
Yes. You can add an additional 2,5'' SATA SSD, but you need to buy a kit which includes a cable and bracket. The link for that is in my video description.

Does anyone also having a charging issues with this laptop? The laptop can charge, it is connected, but a few minutes later it won't charge and the indicator light is off.
Try with a different charger, try updating the bios. If nothing helps maybe you need to replace the battery.

is it a must to realese the battery even not connected to the power source? and what the possible problems may occur if not realese the battery?
The battery has always a voltage and you could do a short and damage some hardware.

Yes, of course
What will happen when i replace the SSD with a bigger. Will the Windows 11 demand key form me.
The key is ussually stored on the motherboard, so if you replace the ssd, you should be fine with the activation. Hope that helps and hope you SUBSCRIBE ❤
What RAM brands do you recommend ?
For this laptop any ram is fine, as long it's compatible. But if I had to choose, I would take any of this: Corsair, G. Skill, Kingston, Crucial, Patriot
So if i want to upgrade my ram, i don't have to buy one exactly like the laptop have?
Not the exactly same brand...but it must be the same socket (DDR3, DDR4, DDR5...) and try to get the same or higher speed in MHZ.
Where is cmos battery in this laptop? I want to reset bios cuz black screen!
There is no cmos battery in this model. To reset it: 1. Unplug the laptop 2. Unplug the internal battery 3. Press and hold the power button for 1minute and release. Plug in the power adapter without the battery and try to start the laptop. If it doesn't start, you have another problem, not the bios. Good luck
@@CrocFIX 3 long and 2 shorts caps lock blink ! So maybe ram issue! There was also beep sound but it's gone! Fix for this?

@@CrocFIX Beep is gone now only caps lock blink which I searched to be ram issue or system failure! I cleaned the ram not worked so maybe have to order new sticks and see but it's a gamble for me! Also thanks ur video helped me to disassemble laptop safely!

No, you can't

It's possible. You need to buy additional cable / sata cable to insert a 2.5 hdd or ssd.

Yes, you can add 2x16Gb and you can install also 3200mhz for example. Faster ram than 3200mhz for that cpu won't make any difference.

Hi!! Im not much of a computer expert, but would it be possible to "upgrade" the gpu cards? I've read some stuff about them online but nothing about possibly replacing them, I really dont know much about the whole topic

@@zariahstar858 Only low demanding games. If you want to play never games and higher resolution, you will need a laptop with at least RTX 2060, 3050 or 3060 Graphics.

How much RAM can I install at maximum?
32Gb is tested and workd, 64Gb could work but not 100%. But more than 32Gb is not needed in my opinion for this cpu.

Hi, is there a way to unplug the touchpad? My laptop is not booting and always end up with PNP_WATCHDOG error(even with HP recover disk, and window USB drive), I tried everything, now last thing I would like to try to unplug the touchpad to see whether its the one which causing issue or not?
Yes, of course. But I would suggest that you install first a fresh copy of windows and see if this helps. You can use another ssd if you have.
@@CrocFIX - Thanks a lot for your reply. I tried that as well with having windows 11 on pen drive, but laptop is not booting up at all. It also won't show recovery screen when I am pressing F11 on BIOS, instead it shows Preparing for Automatic Recovery and then end up with the same PNP_WATCHDOG error.

What is the speed the ram you found in the laptop
Depend which model you buy sometimes its 2666mhz sometimes 3200mhz.
Mine is also 255 g8 3020e but the ram slot in only one the other part doesn't have the slot, it shows that it carries 2 but the other part is empty.
One is fixed and soldered to the mainboard. Only one slot has a changeable option

Depends on the CPU you have. It could be done with a moded bios, but I don't recommend it as you can fry your cpu.

2Tb will work, and also 4Tb should work without any issues.
